Steelhaven Character Profile: Supreme Commander Demkov
Full Name: Supreme Commander Yuri Aleksander M. Demkov
Nicknames: Steel Viper, The Metal Man of Moscow, The Bane of Zhou, The Steel Shredder, Avenger of Aleksander, Vodka-powered Sex Machine, Mr. Sabaton, Viper Number Two, Yuri Kakyoin
Age: [REDACTED]
Birthday: April 26
Nationality/World Allegiance: ½ Earth-born Russian, ½ Sigma Pirate Confederation (Also Russian)
Species: Earth-born Human Cyborg
Gender: M
Affiliation/s: The United Nations of Earth (UNE), UNE Marine Corps, UNE Special Forces, UNE Navy, UNE High Command, Sigma Sector Pirate Confederation, Aleksander Crew, Ouranos Crew, Hyperion Crew
Appearance:
The Supreme Commander stands at an imposing 6’10 with a muscular body type, towering over even the tallest of UNE Marines, even with their armor on, his cybernetic limbs and various other body parts only adding to the intimidation factor.
He has jet black hair, which he cuts short, as well as a beard and mustache. His right eye is cybernetic and red to match his left, with the upper right portion of his skull and face, from his forehead to below his eye, being cybernetic, typically hidden by a synthetic skin. The organic parts of his face and the rest of his body are covered in battle scars from the First Icarian-Orion War. He also sports various tattoos on his back and torso, the meaning and purpose of which are currently unknown.
He’s worn various uniforms and outfits over the years, including:
Supreme Commander Dress Uniform - Typically worn by Demkov out of combat and on the bridge of his ship, the EDS Aleksander. He wears modified black combat boots to accommodate his cybernetics, and a light gray dress shirt tucked into his cargo pants, which are also light gray, on top of which he wears a black military tunic with red and silver accents, and a duster of the same color scheme as his overcoat. His only accessories are his belt with which to hold his family sword, as well as a holster for his sidearms.

Combat Gear - When fighting, he generally prefers to wear the bare minimum, for as too much clothing would be worn down from his cybernetics and his fighting style. He wears his combat boots, regular camouflage-colored cargo pants held in place by a black belt with his family crest on the buckle, as well as some light armor to protect vital areas, but sometimes simply fights straight up bare-chested depending on the environment. Otherwise, he wears a grey undershirt and his tunic. He also has a scabbard for his sword on him at all times.
Lieutenant’s Uniform - Worn by Demkov during his younger days as a Lieutenant in the UNE Marines, and still fairly inexperienced in his swordsmanship. It’s fairly similar to his current combat gear, but with the distinct difference of being somewhat more oriental in design, almost reminiscent of a Japanese kimono. This is likely due to the fact that he trained under the former Orion League Captain, Baiken Yorikawa, learning the ways of the blade among many other things.
Biography & Personality:
Born in a time of peace in contrast to the latter years of his life, Yuri Demkov was a natural born fighter from childhood. This would lead him to follow in his father’s footsteps and enlist in the UNE Marine Corps. He would quickly rise through the ranks, going on countless missions across Kyklos, serving under his father, Aleksander Demkov.
However, things would take a turn by the time of the First Icarian-Orion War, during a battle that left him severely wounded, and his father dead at the hands of the Orion League’s admiral, Zhou. After his recovery, during which he received his iconic cybernetic enhancements, Demkov, determined to avenge his father, left the UNE for a time in pursuit of vengeance.
This would eventually lead him to the Sigma Sector, where he would fall in with the Pirate Confederation and aid them in several battles to get closer to Admiral Zhou. It was during this time that he would earn the nickname, “Steel Viper”, from his pirate allies for his ruthlessness in combat. This would also earn him the respect of Confederation Councilwoman Koralyn “Kora” Aekarios, and the friendship of her son, the then Crown Prince Karpath Aekarios, whom he would fight alongside during the First Icarian-Orion War.

Word of his exploits would eventually reach Earth and his old comrades in the UNE. Fearing that his quest for vengeance would consume him, they tracked Demkov down and convinced him to rejoin the UNE, offering him aid in his vendetta. Though hesitant at first, he eventually came around and accepted their aid.
Shortly after rejoining the UNE, he received his own flagship, naming it after his late father, and his comrades becoming part of his crew. Karpath would soon call for their aid, and the two would fight alongside one another once more, with Demkov and his crew making great contributions to Karpath’s cause throughout the war.
Demkov would finally confront Zhou at the height of the war, aboard his flagship during the Orion League’s first attack on Earth. The two battled, with Demkov emerging victorious. But rather than deliver the final blow, he spared Admiral Zhou, letting him face the consequences for his failures, leaving him to his fate on his burning flagship.
After the war, he would return home to Earth, and later be promoted to Supreme Commander of the UNE for his contributions in the war. He went on to marry his current wife, Marcy Demkov, and had a daughter, Alexei Demkov, who followed in her father’s footsteps as a soldier of the UNE.
Supreme Commander Demkov is known to be a serious man when he is performing his duties, ensuring that all soldiers under his command stay in line and perform their duties with utmost efficiency, and that victory shall be attained regardless of the trials and tribulations he and his troop may face. But when off-duty, Yuri Demkov is known to be a humorous, lighthearted, and upbeat man who’s more than happy to kick back and relax with his comrades, complete with a shot of vodka or two. Or three. Or five… hundred.
Abilities/Equipment:
Demkov Family Sword, “Палач” (Executioner) - The Demkov family sword, which he inherited from his father, Палач is made from an unknown material that dates back to the 8000s. While the sword itself has no inherent magical abilities, it is used as a conduit to channel the wielder’s own power, amplifying it significantly. In the right hands, it is able to cut through the hull of a capital ship with ease.
Cybernetic Implants - Demkov is equipped with a variety of cybernetic enhancements to his body, giving him performance beyond that of a regular human soldier. Listed below are some of his most notable implants:
Cybernetic Organs - Many of Demkov’s organs have been replaced with cybernetics, including his lungs, liver, heart, spine, kidneys, and stomach.
Adrenaline Pump - Demkov has an adrenaline pump implanted close to his heart that can pump doses of adrenaline when he needs a boost.
Pain Inhibitor Chip - Demkov has a special Pain Inhibitor Chip that, as the name suggests, inhibits his ability to feel pain, allowing him to fight more effectively with little distraction.
Wrist-mounted Flamethrowers - Demkov’s cybernetic arms each possess a deployable wrist-mounted flamethrower for close to mid-range combat.
Built-in Thrusters - Thrusters built into Demkov’s cybernetic limbs which allow for limited flight capabilities.
Hidden Abdominal Gatling Laser - Demkov can deploy a hidden gatling laser from his abdomen for added firepower.
Right Eye Laser Beam, “Gaze of Death” - Demkov’s cybernetic right eye has the ability to shoot a powerful laser beam known as the Gaze of Death, capable of cutting through multiple targets at once, as well as cutting through the hulls of small warships with ease.

Statless
Summary Alexander Weiss, an intelligent and slightly unusual man, always dreamt of becoming a mage. Sadly, reality is harsh and even his best efforts never allowed him to achieve his goal during his lifetime... or did they? One has to be careful what they wish for, lest they might live to see it fulfilled. Description Follow Alex, a man whose pursuit of magic could not even be stopped by his non-magical reality, going as far as to create it himself, only to encounter an unsurmountable obstacle shortly before achieving his lifes goal, denying him all access to these powers. His journey will take him through a miraculous world, full of wonders, magic and manic beasts trying to devour him! He will learn much about this world during his adventures, exploring individual aspects of the System and the various monsters that came from it... or did they? Strong points What you'll get from this novel is the following (read with overly enthusiastic salesman-voice) : • An ending! I'll complete it, no matter what. Well, not "no matter what", but as long as I don't unexpectedly end, this novel won't either! • Good grammar! Might not be perfect, but it's definitely good enough to not detract from the story in the slightest. I'll also fix any reported mistakes as soon as possible, be they grammatical, syntactical or just inconsistencies. • No plot-armor! Or plot-weapons! Or plot-... potions? And no plot-holes! If you see some, it's most likely information that is being witheld for future revelations! But in the (hopefully) very unlikely case of such a vile beast being encountered, please inform me immediately and I'll see to slaying it without grace! (Translation: If you see plot-holes, tell me and I'll fix them) • Logic! [Hidden : Spoilers][Hidden : More Spoilers] [Moved to Chapter [Hidden Spoiler]'s Author's Note] Marvelous, I know! • Blue Boxes! And maybe something more! • Sensible retroactive edits! Not to be confused with radioactive edits! You'll not have to re-read previous chapters, even if they get some major edits. If they were to receive new information, I'll add that very information to the newly released chapters too, in a reasonable way. • Realism! Shocking, I know! Especially considering the tag related to that and the point about "Logic!". This also means that the story will be... well, realistically depicting a pretty messed up world. Don't expect bunnies... at least not cute ones. • Relatively faster paced! No long and boring descriptions of irrelevant stuff. There will be some longer descriptions about important things, but that's gonna be necessary world- and/or character-building! • Short action! Might not be a plus for some, but you won't have to look at a whole (or, god forbit, multiple) chapter describing a fight against the same enemy... • Strategy and hard progression! It's a dog-eat-dog world! No grinding/power-creep! If you're up against three enemies of your level at once, you've already lost! • Understanding! It will be mostly about discovering the wonders of this new world and how it became like that, all while trying to survive. So there will be enough action nonetheless! • Humor! Sometimes dark, sometimes light, always at the worst moment! • Constructive critics, welcome! Destructive critics, nope... I can handle criticism though, so don't go easy on me! Just make sure it's really a mistake when complaining about something. • Will add more in the future! If I can think of more stuff...
