Another person got caught and died last night. It's a regular occurrence hear in the slums of the border district. Since we have a limited budget and the military and magic knights are stretched so thin, the monsters have regular raids on our district. Eventually the screams in the night you become numb to, and just sleep through it.

Today my best friend, Liam, and I are going to be going out in the forest today to explore again. Him and I think alike in the way we both wish to be free. We don't like being stuck inside the walls of our town, and it isn't like they are helping or anything. Plus we aren't exactly afraid of dying either. The way I see it dying free would be better staying alive in this hell hole. Liam also has amazing dark magic to help us survive anyway.

We met at the gate, and he had a worried look in his eyes. I reassured him, "Relax, if any monster shows up you'll definitely get away with your magic."

He looked at me and questioned, "What about you?"

I responded dryly, "I'll figure out a way. I'm a survivor, remember?"

And with that we were off on our mini adventure. We tried to mostly stay in the trees out in the forest, until eventually we entered into a little clearing the middle of the forest. There was a good sized lake in the middle of the clearing. Fog was on top of the lake causing the area to be really humid, and frogs could be heard steadily ribbiting. I jumped down from the trees to investigate the lake. Liam shouted down after me, "Arthur I don't know if that's the best idea!"

I didn't listen though because it seemed like something was calling me in the lake. All of Liam's warnings faded into white noise, and blended in with the frog's ribbits. I waded further and further in, until I felt something pull me down. Even though I just got pulled in by something unknown, I wasn't scared. Eventually I saw the person that dragged me in. It was a beautiful girl holding a sword in her hands. She wore a white dress, had snow white skin, and golden hair. She looked at me in the eyes with her beautiful blue eyes, and whispered something. She handed me the sword, and all of the sudden darkness.
