《Fenrir Rising》Demon Lord

"What was that wolf thinking coming in here alone? The orc says. "That brat got himself killed for nothing, that's what he gets for trying to take on more than he could handle. Now then where were we?"
Just then Fenrir's body starts to move. Dark aura starts to surround him as he stands up. 'It's been far too long since I've been in the human realm.'
Luna looks concerned by Fenrir's new form. "Fenrir, is that you?"
"No, you stupid bitch, Fenrir is no more. My name is Zel'guul, but you can call me Zel for short. That kid was stupid enough to let me use his body as I please, and now I can wreak havoc upon this world once more."
The orc steps up to fight Zel. "Just because you got a little power-up doesn't mean you can defeat me and my minions. Goblins attack him."
"Don't get too cocky just because you think you're some big shot around here. I've fought much stronger opponents than you, even though this body can't handle my full power yet, it's still more than enough to beat you."
The goblins rush in all at once to attack, their weapons are drawn and ready to strike. Time slows down for Zel, he avoids every one of their attacks while at the same time cutting the goblins throats with his claws. Before the orc realizes what happened his whole army of goblins was taken down in the blink of any eye. "Now do you see the difference between us?" Zel says with an evil smile. "Many have tried to kill me in the past and you think that you're going to be the first one to do it?"
"Speed is not enough to save you puny one. You may be fast but you're not strong like I am." The orc swings his giant club at Zel with all his might. Zel puts up his hand to block it. The club makes contact and the shockwave from the impact is enough to shake the cave.

"Is that all you got? I was expecting more from you. Did you really think that you could kill a demon lord with such a weak attack?"
"Impossible, demon lords are just a myth.
....
While the fight continues, Mortas has just reached the cave entrance. 'What kind of energy is this? I don't want to go in there but the trail that I followed lead me here. Luna and Fenrir must be inside the cave somewhere. If that's the case then I have no choice but to head inside.'
Mortas sees Luna come running out of the cave naked and covered in blood. " Luna, what happened? Here take my cloak to cover yourself."
Luna wraps the cloak around herself before speaking. "There's no time to explain, we need to get out of here."
"What about Fenrir? I heard he chased after you."
"There's no time, we need to get going. We can't stay here for much longer."
"Fine, but at least explain things to me on the way back."
Mortas and Luna are running back to what used to be the camp. On the way there Luna explained to Mortas everything that had happened. "This isn't good. From what you told me it seems that whatever magic Fenrir drew from has now taken him over. A demon lord is what he called himself right? I've heard about this happening a few times before, the entity that he got his magic from has transferred himself into Fenrir. This was the only way magical monsters from other realms could cross over into ours before the portals opened up."
"Is there any way to save him?"
"There may be one way. Fenrir would have to gain control of his body again. However, the stronger the monster the harder it is to do. From how strong that magical aura was, I'd say the biggest problem is the toll it's taking on his body. Luna, listen to me, in the worst-case scenario we would have to kill him. It would also kill the demon inside him because he transferred himself into Fenrir."

"He did all he could to save me, and I will do everything I can to save him. I won't let him die."
"I know how you feel, but right now we just need to focus on getting out of here. I dont have the power to bring him down, if he catches up to us the only way to defeat him is to make him use enough power that it destroys Fenrir's body. I'm sorry Luna, but there is no other way that this can turn out."
"We have to find a way to save him just like he found a way to save me. I refuse to let him die."
Mortas knew that he couldn't change her mind so he dropped the conversation. 'She needs to learn that this situation is different from hers. There is no way to bring him back, and my top priority right now is to get her to the capital. That easier said than done, if we do escape I doubt she will leave Fenrir behind. I might have to drag her to the capital by force if I have to.'
Zel appears in front of them in an instant stopping Mortas and Luna in their tracks. "Well look what I found. You really thought you could get away from me, didn't you? I see you also had some help escaping, I wish there was more of you so I could have more fun."
Zel rushes towards them with the intention to kill. Without thinking, Mortas puts up a shield right as Zel attacks them. The impact breaks his shield, the shockwave sends Mortas and Luna flying back landing on their backs.
"What's the wrong mage? I thought you were stronger than that. Are you tired from your previous fight?"
"How could you possibly know that? You weren't there for any of that."
"It's simple really. I have all of Fenrir's memories, and do you know what the best part of that is? I lied to Luna before about Fenrir being completely gone, in fact, he is aware of my actions as we speak. He can see everything that I am doing, he is crying out to me to stop but what would be the fun in that. I take joy from others suffering, and there is nothing more satisfying for me than seeing him cry as I kill both of you with his own hands."
Luna is the first one to stand back up. "Fenrir, you need to fight him. You can't let him kill us, you swore to protect me and you need to do it again."
"I'll finish you off last little girl, right now it's the mages turn to die."
Mortas stands on his feet ready for another attack. 'I know I should be attacking him right now, but my best course of action is to defend against his attacks to wear his body down. He won't be able to keep this up for much longer.'
"Not attacking are you? You either dont want to destroy this body or you waiting for me to wear this body out. Well I hate to disappoint you but I picked this body for a reason, you dont realize just how strong this one can become."
Luna keeps trying her hardest to bring Fenrir back. "Please Fenrir, you have to fight him. I know you wouldn't let him hurt me especially with your own hands."
"Will you shut up? I'm tired you talking like you still have a chance to get out of this. I'll finish this mage off quickly so I can make you suffer."
Mortas knows that he can't win against this demon. 'The only chance we might have is if Luna can help Fenrir fight for control. But we dont have much time, it's up to Fenrir to stop this and fast.'
"What do you say mage? Shall we end this now? How does it feel knowing that I'm going to torture this girl that you failed to protect after I kill you?"

After all, you're only human." laughed Gray as he watched his last classmate be devoured. *******This is a new project I'm working on. The MC is different from other MCs, he has a mental disorder. If you like goody-two-shoes MCs then please don't read. Also, character growth is something I am fond of, so if you dislike this please also don't read. There are some gruesome scenes, and some may trigger a few readers, if you are soft-hearted please skip this book. I do not own the art and if there are complaints it will be changed. Around 12chaps/week update.
