《Fenrir Rising》Interview Part 1

Skoll follows Elenor as she walks to one of the rooms that the inn uses for its customers. The door has the number seven engraved on a gold metal plate, indicating that this is room seven. She opens the door and walks in with Skoll following close behind. The room itself, consists of any normal room thst an inn would have, a bed, a nightstand with a candle, and pictures hanging on the wall.
"Please take a seat." She says motioning to one of the two extra chairs that they had brought in beforehand. Skoll sits down looking nervous.
"Alright, I just need to ask you a few questions." Elenor says as she sits down.
"How long is this going to take?" Skoll asks her.
"As long as it needs to. Try not to look so nervous, there is nothing to worry about."
"How can I not be nervous. From what I've heard deciding how high our threat level determines how many rights our species have."
"I guess that's true, but from what I've seen so far, I don't think you have anything to worry about. The fact that you are nervous about this is a good sign. The majority of the higher-level threat monsters do not have all of the emotions that humans have."
Skoll shifts in his seat before asking her a question. "What kind of questions are you going to ask me?"
"Let's start off with a broad one first. Tell me about yourself, what do you like to do and what are you interested in?"
"I like to have fun and play games with my siblings. But more recently, my brother Fenrir has become more distant and rarely does anything with us anymore."
"Let's try to keep this more about you for now."
Skoll feels a little more comfortable talking with her now. Her soothing voice and genuine interest in his answers makes him feel more at ease. "Well, besides having fun I like to train my body to become physically stronger. I have been climbing trees and running to improve my stamina, as well as doing basic work out exercises."

"See this isn't so hard. How does it feel to opening up to someone, even if I am a stranger to you?"
"It feels strange but relaxing at the same time. Kind of like there is a weight being lifted off my chest."
"That's the answer that I was hoping for. It seems that your mother Suriel had made your race similar to us humans. Creating the three of you with the same intelligence and emotions us humans have, was probably no easy feat. Now, what about your life goals, and what are your interests?"
"I've never really thought about it. I want to learn magic and get stronger, but I don't know what want to do with my life."
Elenor smiles at him understanding why he gave this answer. "I imagine that living in the woods and not exploring the world yet, has given you little insight on your career paths that you could choose from. What about your interests, what do you like to do besides getting stronger, what are you passionate about?"
"I guess I like exploring. I try to explore as much as I can around my house, but I'm not supposed to venture too far from home. Suriel had a strict rule about exploring too far from home by ourselves."
"Now we're getting somewhere. From what you told me you could make a good adventurer, they tend to be hired by people looking to solve mysteries of ancient ruins as well as other things of that nature. There are plenty of unexplored places around the land of Fura."
"That does sound like fun. Discovering places that have to be found yet does sound interesting."
"Well then, I can tell you that the government is looking for people such as yourself. I can't tell you too much about it right now, but let's just say that the three of you are more in tune with the magical realm than humans are. There are magical objects that we are interested in finding, that I believe you could sense and find more easily than we can."

"What sort of magical objects are you talking about?"
"I'm sorry, but that's all I can say about that for now. The government likes to keep these objects a secret to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands. Now then, for the more important questions. What do you think about humans in general?"
Skoll shifts in his seat once more while trying to think about what to say. "I don't really know, this is the first time we have meet humans before. Our mother told us a little bit about how human society works, and from what I've heard your justice system seems to work well except for the fact that our mother is going to be killed because of it."
"How does that make you feel? Sure our justice system isn't perfect but it does a good job at keeping criminals from wreaking havoc in our country."
"I don't know, I feel like it's wrong that she is going to be executed, but at the same time from what I understand you can't make exceptions for those that break the law."
"I know how you feel. Losing a loved one in this circumstance can be hard to accept, but at the same time rules are rules and you can't change it no matter who is on trial. Now then, I want you to tell me a about your siblings let's start with Luna."
"How do you know our names?"
"Suriel told us about you three pups already."
"Luna and I get along pretty well. She likes to practice archery and is very good at it. I would say that she is the most compassionate out of the three of us, she is always there when Fenrir and I need her."
"And what about Fenrir? From what I saw he kept his composure when we told all of you about Suriel."
"He mostly sticks to his magic training and doesn't have fun with us like he used too. Somethings changed about him recently."
"Like what? Can you give me some examples?"
"He seems to be more concerned about getting stronger than he is about spending time with us. He started to ask our mother about extra training to increase his magic aura."
Elenor got a little concerned with this information. 'This could be a problem in the future, but maybe I'm wrong he could just want to protect his siblings from danger. However, this does raise a red flag, focusing on his training rather than spending time with them is a little concerning. He might end up being obsessed with power if not handled properly.'
"Well, from what I have heard here is good news, but I will still need to question the rest of you. Could you go back out and tell Luna to come in next?"
Skoll nods his head and sits up from his chair. He walks over to the door and opens it and walks over to Luna. "She wants to talk to you next."
"How was it. What kind of questions did she ask you." Luna says.
"It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was nervous at first but it turned out not to be that bad."
"That's good to hear. Well, I guess I better get going then." Luna heads to the open door to the room and closes it behind her.

Please note: the Sexual Content tag is there due to a single brief plot-relevant scene, which has a warning at the beginning. For other details, read the full description below. Rating breakdown, since that should be public info: 5 x 5*, 2 x 4.5*, 1 x 0.5* During a blackout, a frail and ragged old woman stops to ask for a glass of water from a backyard barbecue party. Given a good supper instead, she looks around the group, and tells them, "Be who and what you truly are." Days later, seven of the people from the barbecue find themselves drawn into a trap laid by a pair of wizards and their accomplices, who kidnap them into a bubble reality. All seven, who have known each other all their lives, are informed that they are not in fact entirely human: they have active fae blood, due to a series of conditions culminating with the blessing of the elderly fae woman. The transformation into fae form comes as a shock: all seven, whether originally female or male, find themselves now unreasonably beautiful women. More urgent even than that, though, is their captivity. Getting back to the real world is a higher priority than this metamorphosis that rapidly begins to feel natural... but this is only the first step, as the diverse types of fae blood they carry begin to surface. With no resources except themselves, how can they escape this prison? If they succeed, how can they possibly reclaim their lives? Just how many other faelings have been kidnapped, anyway, and what happened to them? And is there a way to make sure that their captors never put anyone else through this? Back in the real world, Kayla, who learned long ago to trust her gut instincts, is absolutely certain that something is very wrong. The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. Then a young woman turns up at the backyard gate who knows more than she should, and even though her explanation makes even less sense, every instinct tells Kayla that Riley is her only way to get them back. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.
