Chapter 4: The Party Members
Elfa's perspective
"All of them"
2 hours 45 minutes ago
Reo's perspective
I entered the room. Immediately a voice called out to me. "Hellooooo? Is it another pretty girlie? If it is, i'd like to get a look at your panties!" A face peered out of the darkness. "Oh. You're not a girl. Fuck! Right, just don't tell anyone what you just heard!" "Heard what?" I replied. He grinned. "Thats my boy. Now, I expect you're here to find out your magic element? I knew it! Come over here." I shuffled over to him, and as I got closer, an orb appeared. "Now, place your right hand on the orb and concentrate. The colour that appears on the orb will be your element. The darker the colour, the higher your affinity." I did as he said, and concentrated. Soon a deep scarlet colour appeared. "Interesting. you have a high affinity for flame magic. Hold on. What's this?" For the orb had changed colour. It was now a dark blue. "Water? Now leaf, stone, breeze, snow, bright and shadow?! Hold your palm face up and say: Pokazać." "Pokazać". Instantly a small firball appeared above my hand. Then a ball of water, then a leaf ball etc etc. His face blanched. "H-how can this be? This is unheard of! Someone possessing all elements!" he put a hand on my head and closed his eyes. "Pojemność". His eyes widened as they opened. "Wow. A normal mage can use approximately 5000 spells a day before they run out of energy. You can use around 20,000!" I grinned. This meant that if I fought someone and they used 5000 spells, I could say "well I've only used 1/4 of my energy!"
But I was still confused. As I left, I thought to myself. Why do I have every element? As I exited the room, Elfa asked "So? Which element did you get?" I frowned. "All of them." They gaped at me. "That can't be right." Elfa replied. "Nope. It's right. You can go ask the tester." "Oh man, this is bullshit!" It was Axel. "How is it you have all of them?" I grimaced. "I don't really know the details myself." "Well anyway." Elfa interrupted us. "You need to see the king. There, you will constuct your party and recieve some money to get yourself started."

As we re-entered the throne room, everyone started whispering. I managed to overhear a couple of conversations. "Is that him?" "Yes. The guy who can control all elements." "He's handsome!" I grinned. News travels fast! We stopped in front of the king. Elfa fell to one knee, and we all followed suit. "Rise, brave warriors. Now is the time for the choosing of party members. However, there will be a maximum of six party members to a hero. Three boys, and three girls, first come, first serve. You may now choose your hero." All the girls looked at each other, then at me. There was a massive roar as all the girls charged at me. The first three arrived, and bowed to me. The rest walked away, casting resentful looks at the three girls. Then came the boys, slightly out of breath. Again, the first three bowed to me. Then my party members stepped behind me. A member of the king's court gave each of the heroes a bag filled with money. "In these bags are 1000 nuggets. Spend them wisely. You are dissmised."
I beckoned my party members to follow me, and we sat down outside the throne room. "Alright," I said. "We are going to introduce ourselves. I want you to say your name, your magic type, why you want to become a hero, and any other important information. I'll go first. My name is Reo Riku, I can use all elements, and I have to be a hero, I don't have a choice." "What level are you?" The voice came from one of the boys. he wore a dark cloak. "Huh?" I replied, using my imense knowledge of grammer. "What do you mean? There are levels?" "Yes. Look at the top right corner of your vision. You will see your level, how much EXP you need until your next level, a green bar, a red bar and a blue bar. The green bar is your shield, the red bar is your health and the blue bar is your energy/mana." "Thanks. You can go first. Who are you?"

"My name is Jack Vulcan, my magic type is shadow, I am level 5 and I want to be a hero so that I can gain knowledge and wisdom."
The boy next to him went next. he was wearing leather armour. "Hi. My name is Shouto Gregorovitch." Confusing name. "My magic type is flame, I am level three, and I wish to be a hero so that I can earn money to give to my parents. We have always been quite poor."
Then the last guy went. "A bachowie. My name is Tachibana Ichigou. My magic type is snow, I am level 4 and I want to be a hero so that I can be popular with the ladies and make my own Harem!" I grinned. God damn it.
The first girl went then. "Hiya. My name is Lucy Scarlet. My magic type is water, I'm level six and I wanna be a hero so that I can prove to my abusive dad that women can be strong too!" "That is admirable." said Shouto. "I will help you on your journey." Lucy blushed.
The second girl went. "Hi my name is Mira Jane. My magic element is leaf, I am level 4 and i want to be a hero so that I can prove to the man that I love that I can protect him just as well as he can protect me."
And then the final girl went. She seemed very nervous. "H-hello. M-my name is Helena Wright. My magic element is light, my level is 2, and...and I want to become a hero so that I can protect the ones I love and keep the family buisness running. I smiled.
Yup. This is going to be a good team.
A few hours later
There was a shrill shriek as my fireball burnt the rabbit to a crisp.
Experience gained: 50. I grinned. After 3 hours of level grinding, and approximately 10,800 spells, I had reached level 9. I checked my stats.

Had gone up by 4, making him level 7. Tachibana had gone from 4-7. Lucy, from 6-8. Mira, from 4-7, and Helena, from 2-6. i was pleased with the work we had made today. I planned on us doing the same tomorrow, but right. now, it was late, and we had to get some reat. We had booked soome rooms at a local inn earlier. "Up you get, you lazy buggers. It's time to go back to the inn and get some shut-eye."
Giaometra's perspective:
As the party departed, the leaves of the tree they were lying under rustled. It was one of the girls from the throne room, one who had been sent home. "Fu fu fu. You will be mine, Reo Riku. But first, we need to do something about those girls. Fu fu fu, he he he, ha ha ha!"

As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. Want this story in smaller bites? Click here! The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. Cast Under Ellitis
Ellitis, a world of sword and magic. Massive in size, with most of its surface unexplored. Where dragons and spirits dwell amongst men and demi-humans, where gods and devils alike barter with mortals and immortals. Beautiful as it might seem, mystical even, Ellitis is not a world for the frail. It is a place where the strong prey upon the weak, and where the weak struggle with every fiber of their being to overthrow the strong. It is here, in an unsuspecting corner of this world, that an unfortunate soul was born an orphan by the mischief of beings untold. Eliot Wyon, formerly known as Eliot Alderman, was just a mediocre engineering student in his past life. Perhaps without any help, this life of his will be just as boring as his last. But throw in an impish ex-goddess to help him along. Maybe, just maybe, he could make this life a bit more interesting. ----------------------------------------**Author's Note**---------------------------------------- Hello Everyone, I am Vi, Cat Vi. This is my first attempt at writing a story. I am a complete beginner at this. The closest thing to an organized story I’ve ever written is essay reports back in high school. There might be syntax errors and weird language all over the place. So, apologies in advance. I’ll be trying my best to make this story as interesting as possible, and with your feedback I am sure I can make something nice out of it. Constructive criticism is appreciated. And you are welcome to comment any errors you might notice. I’ll try to fix them up as soon as I can. For now, I don’t have a schedule. But if the story gets traction, I will try to work something out. **Cover Image Drawn by me.

Queer Tales From A Street Nominally Associated With Your Reality
The street is not from your world, and yet it's attached, clinging like a shadowy limpet to the edge of your London, your city skyline stabbing into it from above. Or well that's what we tell ourselves, no one who lives here really knows. We are after all just regular folk displaced from our original realities. Just a bunch of folks with queer tales from a street nominally associated with your reality. What to expect: - A series of interlinked short stories gradually unpacking the lives, complications and mysteries associated with those who live in the street - A weird pseudo-British setting where physics works inconsistently, and houses move position regularly - Stories filled with LGBTQ+ characters, and in particular ones on the trans/nonbinary spectrum - Potentially iffy grammar, I'm new to publishing my work online, so whilst I am checking things before posting it’s a near certainty that some things will slip through - A schedule of one chapter every two weeks.
