My eyes were wide open after reading both the descriptions. I got two new stats just like that and they could even grow on their own. Why call them titles when they look more like skills. How do titles work here anyway, I know that they are something you are known by other than your name in games and other stuff. But that is not the case here, they are much more involved with my growth.

I open the status page and try to click on the [Title] option but it did nothing. I wanted to check if any description would pop up but oh well.

While looking at the title option I think to myself ‘ I wish I could use appraise [Title]’. Sighing I was about to leave and check my other loot when a screen popes in front of me.

They are given to worthy people who performed incredible feats and impressed the World's Will. The Worlds Will passes a bit of its power to you and, while studying your knowledge of things, grants you a title worthy of the feat performed. The effect of the skill depends on how much power is passed to you.

“hehe so that's how it works,” I say to myself while giggling which soon turns into a burst of laughter.

“You're giving me power because you impressed, hahaha,” I said laughing out loud. It was a funny thing indeed, to give out power to others just because you were impressed. when that same person could be your downfall in the future. Well if you are bored enough, sure do whatever makes you happy.

‘fine I accept your gift’ I say in my mind while thinking about this Worlds Will’s identity. I don’t know when, but there will come a time when I do the main quest and go after the gods. At first, I did think that it was funny, but with what devour can do, it might be possible. And if this Will was some kind of God, then it was just helping its enemy.

Still, there were a lot of weird things with this situation here. Killing the lizard I understand, but what about eating the eggs. ‘How is that considered an incredible feat?. Then there is the problem that how frequently I am getting them. Seeing how incredible the titles are, I am sure that for the creatures of this world, it would be a great thing to get even one title but I got 3 already and they were no joke.

After thinking for a few minutes, I concluded that I am getting these because I am from a different world. Since I was weaker than everyone present here and managed to survive, in some way I got the Worlds Will’s attention. Anyway if it wants to give me free stuff, I’ll gladly accept them.

As it had gotten very dark, I decided to move into the obsidian tree. It will be my home base from now on. There are many uses for this tree too and most of all it's in a very safe place. Big things can’t come here and small things I can most probably handle. There are a lot of things left to check but I am too tired to do anything right now.

I go to the nest and lay on some green leaves. These must be from those green trees outside. The weird thing about them was that they felt more like leather rather than leaves. I was tempted to appraise them but decided not to and closed my eyes.

I open my eyes to notice that the sun was already high up in the sky. I stretch my hands while yawning and get out of the tree. I was thirsty but I had no water to drink or wash my face. ‘I need to explore this place for water’ I think to myself.

While sighing a little I open the inventory to check what I got off the lizard.

There was quite a lot of stuff that I got but had no idea how to use it. For now, I’ll keep everything in my inventory and maybe something comes in use in the future. I take out a piece of meat, since I was hungry, and start wondering how to eat it. I can’t do it raw but I have no other choice. There is no way for me to cook it. All the trees are wired and I don’t know the method to start a fire. I was kinda worried about the taste but a mans gotta eat right. As I bite into the meat, devour activated and I got that same creepy feeling in my body.

I never noticed how to devour worked when I was eating the eggs. The thing about this skill was that I didn’t need to chew much. In just three to four bites, the meat was gone. The piece of meat was big but I finished it easily. When I bite the meat, it's like a big chunk gets sucked in me and a little bit is left for me to chew. Also, the taste is different than I imagined, It was just like lamb.

I open the skills from the menu to check if I miss read its description because there was no mention of changing taste.

I was about to check devours description when I notice that many of the skill's XP percent were high. They were all the skills I used against the Lizard and the ones I didn't use were still at zero. So the more I use the skill the faster it will level. Makes sense I guess.

I read Devour's description and see no mention of taste changing in there. But there is a point I am seeing in a new light.

‘Does this mean that I can eat anything I question myself? To test this out I take a metal scale and hesitantly put it in my mouth. I try and bite into it lightly and just like the meat, half of it was adsorbed and the rest was softening up for me. I was able to chew it easily like chewing gum.

“This is amazing,” I say with a happy smile. I got a skill and it proved that I can eat anything. Finding this I wanted to test out what else I could eat. I take out another scale and shape it into a bowel. I take a little bit of the Lizard blood out of the inventory.

I had no idea how the blood was stored in a liquid state there. It was falling out of the blue screen like a small waterfall. When the bowl was half-filled, I stop pouring and drink the blood. And the same thing happened. There was no blood-like taste and it was like I was drinking some kind of juice. It did not taste that bad and to be honest, it helped with the thirst.

I went into the inventory looking for anything else I could try and eat when my eyes fell on the black spike. I gulp and question myself “ I can eat that too right?”. I take out the spike and exciting bite on it. I had no fear even when it was called the hardest metal because I knew it would be devoured. Just like everything else, I ate it, but nothing happened.

‘ maybe a bigger bite would work’ thinking that I bite it again. “huh is nothing going to happen-” before I could complete my sentence, my heart went crazy.

*thumb* *thumb* *thumb*

It was beating like never before and my body started to hurt like hell.

“f*ck f*ck f*ck it HUUUURTS!!!” Shouting that I fell to the ground and my vision went dark.

Somewhere far away from the forest

A beautiful woman was lying sideways on a big bed with her head resting on her hand. The woman had a bored expression while her sea-green eyes, which matched her hair, were observing a big screen. She would shift her sinful curvaceous body, which would make most men into beasts, left and right trying to find a comfortable position. She was looking at the screen trying to find something that could take her boredom away.

As she waved her hand to change the scenery on the screen, she felt like something had come into this world. She felt interested and started changing the screen faster. After a few minutes, a man came in front of the screen. He was not a handsome man but when the woman saw him, her eyes opened wide.

After that, she started observing him and her bored expression went away. She would laugh and giggle at him from time to time. Finally, when he killed the lizard, the woman jumped excitedly without even realizing it.

“I see you sent a funny fellow here, my friend,” she said with a small smile.

“I don’t know what made you choose him but it is very interesting to watch him, so the least I can do for this entertainment is provide him some help”.

“Let’s hope he can help you with your revenge”.
