《B.L.A.N.K- The search for the meta》Compromise? Hell no!

I couldn't help but begin to laugh at the absolute absurdity of this situation. Once I started laughing I had a hard time stopping, which greatly irritated all those present.
Lord Justice was not amused in the slightest, "What's so funny? ".
I continued laughing, " All of you are hilarious! What is this? You're gonna what, strong arm me with your fancy weapons? Ha! Ha! All you pro players in what is essentially a coffee shop with no barista! You are all so out of place! The dragon slayer will proly pop one of these couches! Ha! "
Raxila snapped, " Stop this right this instant! "
"Or what? You'll smother me with you giant juggs! Thanks for bringing out the cleavage for an 8-year-old! You perve! " I said, now rolling on the floor.
This made all the males chuckle except for Lord Justice, who apparently doesn't understand humor. Raxila turned a shade of bright red while seething with anger.
"I'm gonna delete him! ", Raxila screamed, full of fury.
" You will do no such thing. We are here for a purpose, don't let the words of a child affect you. ", Lord Justice said with cold finality.
Delete? For a purpose? Didn't these guys create the game? Shouldn't they know, like everything? Unless...
" So you have no control then? It's obvious you have some sort of moderator status, and yet you need something from me. " I said as I stood and composed myself, " Well I will not give you what you want. "
The mage Azreal interjected, " He speaks the truth. He will never give us what we want, this is a waste of time. ".
" Thorn, is it? ", said the unknown assassin, " We have given you a choice to cooperate thus far but you try our patience. It seems you are brave, but also stupid. We are the five Avatars of Blank. As such we are given great power to moderate the world to keep things in balance. Powers such as Azreal's, which read your heart rate to determine if you are lying. Or the power to delete your character. "

" Yeah and the ability to bring me to really badly decorated Coffee shops. " , I said sarcastically.
"May I? ", Raxila asked Lord Justice, who nodded in response.
Raxila's crystal ball lit up with purple energy and I felt a strange sensation. It felt as though someone was tuning a radio frequency in my ear. Lucky for me, I had prepared for this.
Raxila dropped to her knees and yelled out, " Stop it!! Quit!!! "
The others were confused, as they had never seen this happen to Raxila.
" Sever the connection and it will stop," I said calmly.
The crystal ball died down and Raxila regained her composure. She gasped, "How did you know? What was that? "
I laughed, "When I was 12 I downloaded an app for the virtual private space called Mind control for dummies. This app allows you to practice against someone trying to mind control you, read your surface thoughts and the like. Turns out, you can imagine the worst sounds at the highest octave possible and drive even AI crazy after a few hours. I perfected it wouldn't you say Raxila? "
She glared at him but remained silent.
The assassin performed a slow solo clap for emphasis, " Well done boy, to think someone would best Raxila in her own game, you are not who you appear to be. "
"Indeed, you are strange." Heigdal interjected, " but you have spunk. "
I smiled at the unexpected compliments.
"Why do you need this prince so bad anyway? Shouldn't you know where he is if you're so powerful? ", I asked.
Azreal answered my question, " He does not appear to be on any map or location that is known to exist. Your condition is also an anomaly. Appearing as a child must have resulted in a new subroutine being created that formed an instance zone that we cannot track. ".

I smiled and replied, " Very close Azreal, they don't call you the greatest mage of the century for nothing it seems. Though this still means that you don't have control like I thought. "
"Our employers created the perfect algorithm, which is implemented by an Artificial intelligence named Skye." Azreal said with little emotion, " We have given up our right to compete in order to maintain balance as Avatars. ".
" Ok, but you never answered my question.", I interjected, " I want to know why you each personally want this prince so bad? I had guessed from the beginning you had given up your right to compete, so why is it so important to you? "
Lord Justice replied, " Our employers are dealing with increasing pressure the longer this drags out, which turns to pressure upon us. "
"So you are just their puppets!?" I mocked.
Heigdal stomped his foot, cracking the floor beneath him, " I AM NO ONES PUPPET!".
"All of you are my heroes, that which I aspire to be.", I began softly, " I have played this game for not even one full day and already people try to control me. "
I gazed around me, and pointed to Heigdal and questioned, " Tell me, Heigdal, would you let someone take away your advantage? Take away what you had earned with your own two hands? The AI Skye is responsible for making me a child. Make her turn me back into an adult and I will give you the prince. That is the only way I will give him up. "
Azreal confirmed I spoke the truth with a nod. Lord Justice replied, " What you ask is not within our power. You are unreasonable and almost make me angry. It seems we must make a compromise with you. ".
I laughed, " Compromise, Hell no!"

No More Respawns
Synopsis: The first time Allen died, he was forced back into a living hell where death is temporary, and power is all that matters. With evil and depravity as the rule, tragedy becomes comedy and life becomes an act. Only a deal with a shady god can get him back to his old life, but what happens if there’s nothing left to save? Maybe hell isn’t so bad if you have infinite lives… until you don’t. Needless to say, it’s all fun and games until there’s no more respawns. Foreword: This story is meant primarily as an action adventure and secondarily as a dark and nihilistic comedy. It may not be readily apparent in the beginning, but that's what I have planned (I feel the need to emphasize the dark; don’t rage at me if it gets too ‘traumatizing’ or something). I’m going to take my time with this, so it won’t immediately inundate you with doom and gloom. This is also a comedy, remember? On that note, if for some cursed reason you just can't handle either the references or the jokes, I am willing to battle in the comments. Anyway, I still put a significant amount of effort into the system, so I hope you enjoy that part. It is a little bulky, I'll admit to that, but I wanted to try something new and its more fun when there's more depth to it. Regardless, I still have a lot of fun doing math in the middle of writing a fictional story (/s). I also want to see if I can keep from messing up the pacing. Many times, I end up going too fast because I'm afraid of the story getting boring, which tends to ironically have the opposite effect. I'm still learning I suppose; we'll see how things go. Lastly, please leave reviews and comments, they really mean a lot to me and (usually) help me improve considerably. I'll be asking for feedback in the polls and I do still check the old ones from time to time. Notes: The story takes a bit of time to develop; give it time if you're here for drama, grimdark, or antihero. The system is all blue boxes and I'm not half-assing the numbers. Chapters will be between 1k and 2k words usually. I always use the oxford coma, fight me. Might drop if rating falls below 4 stars, idk. It depends on how my life is going. Cover drawn by yours truly in MS paint. (I have skill, I know)
