Kara was not able to process the information...

Seeing the dragon fly over her head. She was scared.

"RIED!! take lush and get inside that house"

Ried was so scared that his legs couldn't even move.

Hearing the order, he took Lush and started running towards the house.

Watching 2 people going to go in shelter, the dragon spat fire in front of them.

'They may not able to reach there safely'

Kara took 3 of her knives as always and threw them at the dragon, but dragon was too fast in the sky and easily dodged the knives.

'Darn it!! it's big, I can't control it'

Kara didn't know what she can do to make the dragon come down. she had seen the dragon rain havok in this village from sky previously.

'First I need to think about Ried and Lush'

"Listen!! go and jump in the well for now, I will take you out when......"

Even before completing her sentence the dragon again rained down fire from the sky and trapped all three of them in the were trapped between the sea of flames.

'Darn it!!Darn it!!Darn it!!Darn it!!.........Wait a minute!'

Kara called her knives back and when the dragon came close to her, she using her psychic powers pulled down 1 of the wing of the dragon.

This caused the dragon to go out of balance and crash down in the ground.

"Hurry and get behind me!!".

Ried followed his order silently.

'It's down now, I may be able to fight it now. But what is wrong with this dragon'

The dragon was 10m long bit blue viens covered all over it's body.

The dragon didn't looked sane, it's eyes were filled with rage.

'I have a bad feeling about this'

After falling down the dragon immediatly got into action.

It got closed to Kara and as normally it done it, it breathed fire.

But this time Kara diverted the fire with her power into the side.

Seeing it not working the dragon got mad.

It got close to Kara and tried to bite at her with his mouth.

Kara roughly dodged the attack.

As she was gaining her balance, the dragon struck her with it's tail.

'fuc...!'

She was not able to respond. not even understand what happened to her.

It was the most powerful impact she ever felt in her life.

After flying over a distance and getting stopped by the getting smashed in a tree.

Kara can feel her entire body getting numbed.

This scene greatly scared Lush and Ried. they were scared after seeing what happened to her.

They were just going to run over her , but she silently got up and gave thumbs up in their direction.

Most of the force of the impact was lessened by her power.

but her condition was not good.

'I need to think... think something fast'

After forcing her brain for an idea. Kara threw the Knives at the eyes of the dragon.

all the dragon did was dodge it easily without any problem.

As the Dragon was dodging, Kara teleported again and got close to the dragons mouth.

She was using her old tactic. She was going to thrust the knives in the eyes of the dragon.

But before she could do it. the Dragon blasted it's fire on her in close range.

She was able to divert most of it away, but she still got burned.

Both her hands that were holding kives were burned now.

As she shielded her face with her hands, they were the only things getting damaged.

She was in pain, she thought of teleporting away.

But the Dragon again struck her with it's tail.

This time it was a direct hit.

she was not able to think what to do.

Her concious drifted away. Her life was in danger.

seeing all this happened in less than 5sec Ried got worried and seeing the state Kara was in he got a bad premonition.

As he was going to have a nervous breakdown.

He started walking toward the battle scene.

"DON't go there!!"

RIed was not listeneing it silently went close to the dragon, instead of Kara.

"Don't Go close to it, it will kill you"

Ried was not listening. he silently went close to the dragon and for some reason dragon moved it's head and started watching Ried get closed to it.

The Rage still burning in the eyes of the dragon, it opened it's mouth and was again going to shoot fire, but it got silent for some reason.

"ROAR!"

It got close to Ried. took him in it's claws and flown away.

The rage in the dragons eyes has not seethed.

Lush can only look as Ried was taken away, she can see Ried smiling at her.

He seemed to say take care of her.

not unable to understand, and still confused.

She saw Ried go over the horizon. Getting back to her senses, she directly over to Kara and seeing she was alive.

She did a minor healing spell on her then lifting her up with all her power she took her inside the only house that was still intact.

Lush didn't know what she should feel.

Should she feel happy that she was saved again.

Or be sad that the price of her's and Kara's life is Ried.

She was not able to think why the dragon's behaviour got odd during the battle.

if the dragon wanted it could get all 3 of them easily.

But it only took Ried.

After entering the cottage. she put Kara on the bed and went to look for medicines for her burns.

Kara had a lot of bones broken after the impact of the tail.

Lush wanted to Heal kara until she comes back to conciousness.

She was scared of her.

Scared that when Kara wakes up and not find Ried, What will she do.
