Chapter 6 Abducting Mega Pop’s Daughter

Author’s POV (Point Of View):

“So Deleon, what brings you to my shop so early?” Anna Keyheart AKA, Tainted Scorpion went around her counter while questioning the familiar young man who had just entered her establishment.

Deleon Shaw responded to the florist’s enquiry by telling her that he came to purchase another one of her beautiful hydrangeas. This was true in a way but not entirely. Deleon Shaw was sexually attracted to Tainted Scorpion who he thought was a beautiful pure-hearted flower. Little did he know that the woman he was attracted to was as devilish as they come. He fell hook line and sinker for Anna's fabricated persona.

Tainted Scorpion executed her modest role well by responding with a coquettish smile. “Oh, so you came to purchase another one of my pretty flowers. How lovely of you to continue supporting my shop. Since you’re one of my loyal customers, I’ll make sure to give you a discount from now on. How does that sound, sweetie?”

“Sound good.” After Deleon Shaw purchased his requested flower he told the shop owner goodbye and turned to leave. However, his feet stopped moving as soon as he reached the exit.

Tainted Scorpion perceived his obvious procrastination and asked: “What is it. Did you forget something?”

[Thud! Thud! Thud!] Hearing Anna’s enquiry, Deleon Shaw sucked in an air of hubris then strutted back towards the counter. “Ms Anna I have a confession to make.”

‘Oh, is he going to do it now?’ Tainted Scorpion’s lady friend who was spying from behind a distant shelf of fertilizers maintained her concealment while observing the confession with a smile on her face.

As for Anna, she was disgusted internally. ‘Is this weak man going to say what I think he is?’

Deleon Shaw continued. “The truth is I, Ms Anna. I often visit your shop because I’ve generated a sort of attraction to you. Your brilliant smile, warm conversation and charming demeanour really add some illumination to my dull life. And I… and I…”

“That sweet mouth player. Don’t stop now. Go ahead.” Ember was secretly encouraging Deleon to succeed his confession to her mentor.

“And I… really want to know you better” Deleon Shaw delivered the rest of his confession to the sweet flower princess. “Ms Anna, would you consider going on a date with me?” [Huff!] It took 90% of Mr Shaw’s mettle to complete his confession without losing breath.

“Atta boy.” Ember secretly celebrated with a clenched fist for victory. However, her excitement was short-lived when she heard Tainted Scorpion’s reply.

Anna gently clasped Deleon’s hand and replied to his confession. “Mr Shaw I’m touched that you feel that way about me, you’re such a nice guy. But… I can’t date anyone one right now. My last relationship ended with me getting physically hurt and I never want to experience such pain ever again. I really appreciate your affections truly, please don’t feel offended by my rejection.”

“Oh, no! I don’t feel offended. I’m glad that you trust me enough to tell me that, Ms Anna. Don’t worry I will never hurt you like your past lover. I just ask that you allow me to buy your flowers from time to time as always.”

“I don’t mind your visit to my shop.”

“That’s great. Thank you, Ms Anna. Goodbye for now.” Deleon Shaw left the flower shop with a brilliant smile on his face, hoping that one day the florist would warm up to him enough to eventually let him into her pretty heart. After he drove off, Ember rushed over to the counter and questioned her mentor.

“Anna, why did you reject his confession? I could tell that it took him great effort to unload his feelings on you.”

“Ember back up out of my face and go clean away the cobwebs on the shelves.” Tainted Scorpion pushed her minion aside then tend to her thirsty plants.

“Oh, come on. Don’t be like that, boss. You could have least agreed to his date and see how it goes from there. Who knows, probably if you date a nice guy for a change it would broaden your love life, even curtail that violent fetish of yours.”

Hearing this, Tainted Scorpion lashed her brusque tongue at Ember. “I detest weak men! Now drop the damn argument and go do as you were told.”

“Alright, boss. No need to be glaring at me with those poisonous eyes of yours.” Ember picked up a fluffy duster from behind the counter which she used to clean the shelves. [Swish! Wish! Swish!]

Whilst she was pruning her plants, Tainted Scorpion was thinking to herself: “Why do that weak man find me attractive even though I exerted myself to prepare this dorky disguise? I made sure to cover up all of my sexy flesh so that I wouldn’t garner too much attention and yet he… Tsk, nice guys are so irritating.”

Main Character’s POV (Point Of View):

In the evening when the sun began to conceal itself underneath the horizon, I left my minion in charge of the shop, went to my living quarters upstairs to get ready for my bonus mission. After donning my golden battle suit I refiled my mask’s Dark Bloom Orchid essence. This was a fundamental ingredient needed to boost my combat prowess. Though my objective this time was a lot simpler, I made sure to prepare for every eventuality.

Finished with my preparations, I went to the roof of my apartment complex where I contacted my mentor. “Sensei, are you there? I’m about to head out now. Is the girl still being kept in police custody?”

“She is still hold up at the station. It seems that a competent detective is keeping a good eye on her. Be careful, they might be expecting your visit.”

I shrugged my master’s worries away like dust on my shoulders. “It’s not a big deal. I’ll be in and out without anybody noticing.”

“Tainted Scorpion if by chance you are discovered make sure not to kill anyone inside the station. That’s an order.”

“Alright, I understand.”

“Since you understand, I won’t nag you further. Say, why don’t you use the Black Scorpion that I sent over to assist you? She is constantly complaining that you only let her hang around your shop when she isn’t even that fond of flowers.”

“Is that what she told you, sensei? That Ember, I’ll deal with her when I get back. I’m heading out now, maintain radio silence until I contact you.” [Beep!]

After disconnecting the earpiece I ran to the edge of the roof and jumped over. [Whoosh!] Whilst free falling I engaged the grappling hook from my vambrace by tossing it around an Elij-Plum that was growing on the adjacent rooftop. I pulled myself in, landing seamlessly on the thick branch like an adroit pussycat. I continued this sequence by dashing from roof to roof, sometimes I even ran alongside buildings until I reached my destination atop Arak Gold’s central precinct.

“Sensei, I’ve arrived at the station. Connect me to the internal CCTV footages.”

“Already done, check your goggles.”

“Alright.” I tapped a switch on the neat mechanism which covered my eyes. Multiple series of images depicting internal visuals of the precinct popped up in front of me. I swiped through the footages until I located Mega Pop’s daughter sitting in an isolated room with a girly rag doll in her tiny embrace. A middle-aged man was also inside the room, he had just placed down a tray of food for the little girl to eat. He was that annoying detective who has been chasing my shadow for years now. I believe he called Kim something. Why couldn’t I receive a contract with his face on it? I would have gladly taken his miserable life.

Author’s POV (Point Of View):

[Beep!] After Tainted Scorpion acquired the location of Mega Pop’s daughter, she disabled the visual feed from her dark gaggles then searched the roof for the main power box which gave electricity to the entire precinct. While she was doing this, Detective Kim was having an important conversation with the little girl inside his office.

Detective Kim rested his bottom against the edge of the table then waited for Mega Pop’s daughter to start eating her meal before he commenced questioning her. “Tiara Gold. This is your name correct?”

“Hmm.” The girl gave a visible nod.

“Based on what we’ve discussed so far it is safe to assume that your father was targeted by a group of unscrupulous individuals who wants to claim his turf. Are you aware of what sort of business engagement your father dealt with?”

“Hmm?” Tiara Gold gave a second nod. How could she not know what sort of inhumane activities her father did behind the scenes when he had subjected her mother to whore for his own gain?

“Then, I don’t believe that your life is in any sort of imminent danger since that assassin let you live back there, but just in case my assumptions are wrong and you are indeed being targeted I want to keep you secure here for a few more days. Are you okay with that?”

“Hm.” Tiara Gold nodded again.

“Good. Then I will have my trusted officers keep watch over you until I deem it safe for you to go. Speaking of which, do you have any other relatives that can look after you? What about your mother? Are you in contact with her?”

“Mother she’s…” Tiara wanted to tell the nice detective that her mother was currently serving as a sex slave for some corrupt assemblymen but she quickly changed her tongue. “I no longer have a mother.”

“Is that so? What about an uncle or aunt?”

“Neither.”

Detective Kim noticed the dejected expression on the little girl’s face and felt sorry for her. This much was expected of an underground boss’s daughter, she would encounter enemies that neither she was aware of. ‘Poor soul.’

Detective Kim got up from his table and approached the office door. “I’m stepping out for a bit, Tiara. The door is going to keep close until I return. Go ahead and finish your dinner, a growing girl like you needs her strength. Don’t worry, I will definitely catch your father's killer.”

“Thank you, mister.” Tiara felt indebted to Detective Kim for treating her so nicely. Before her household turned to shambles only her maid treated her like a human being. She was very upset that a dirty assassin claimed her life.

“Alright, then.” Detective Kim did exactly what he told the little girl he would do. After stepping outside the office, he securely locked the door then told two officers who weren’t busy to stand guard and don’t let anyone inside aside from him.

“We’ll keep watch, sir.”

Shortly after Detective Kim disappeared down the hall, the station’s power supply was briefly stopped. The precinct was engulfed in complete darkness until the back-up power kicked in, even so, the station’s lighting was still dim with red lights flashing everywhere.

“What happened to the power? Why is it so dark all of a sudden?” As soon as the lighting became dim, Tiara who was devouring her meal accidentally dropped her utensil on the floor. She got up from her chair then ran towards the door while clinging tightly to her doll.

[Bang! Bang! Bang!] “Somebody! Please open the door! I’m scared!” Tiara kept on pounding on the door, begging the men outside to set her free but they were hesitant.

“What should we do? Should we open the door?”

“Mr Kim told us to not to open the door under any circumstance unless he is here.”

“But if we don’t that little girl might panic until she collapsed. I won’t have her death be on my consciousness. I’m opening it.”

“Hey, wait!”

[Beep! Beep! Beep!] The officer typed in the unlock code for the door. “Little girl don’t worry. Everything is going to be alright, it’s just a little power outage is all.”

“Hmm? But that’s strange.” The other officers who were glancing outside a window noticed that something was off. “How come those building over there still have power? It seems only our building alone had its power cut.”

“Could someone be deliberately sabotaging our building?”

“It’s possible. Detective Kim might be right about our station being attacked. Hurry! Secure the little girl.”

“Too late.” As the officers ran with the little girl towards the private office, they heard a menacing voice crept into their ear. Feeling threatened, they quickly reached for their handguns positioned on their waists. But before they could withdraw their guns from the holsters, an unexpected burning sensation stimulated the pain sensors in their brains.

“What the!”

“Kyaaah!”

The officers’ hands which reached for their guns were cut clean off. A fountain of Blood spewed from their severed limbs and sprayed all over Tiara Gold’s scared face. She just stood there motionless while getting drenched. Tiara was veritably frightened, fear poisoned her legs to a halt. Even her lips were paralyzed.

[Ba-dump! Ba-dump! Ba-dump!] Tiara’s eye grew wider with trepidation when she witnessed a virulent scorpion kicking away the injured officers while menacingly creeping closer towards her. [Dum! Dum! Dum!] Perceiving these intimidating footsteps, moreover, the pernicious eyes glaring down at her, made the little girl spilt her genital juices all over her bunny panties. Her flowing urine drenched the bloody floor. [Drip! Drip!]

“Don’t be afraid, little girl. I’m only here to escort you somewhere unsafe. Fhm-hu-hu-hu.” Tainted Scorpion’s diabolical laughter stunned Tiara unconscious. Her eyes flipped over to the back of her head until only the white was visible.
