The morning greeting me with my whole body throbbing in pain as I got up. I can remember taking something to easy the pain than limping my way towards the bus stop and home. After arrive it was close to ten which is nothing new. Heck when I walked in the people were in the living room laughing only glanced my way before returning to they merry making. I was covered in dirt and had dried blood on my face but like I said before it wasn't new to them.

My father worked for the guild so seeing people hurt and injured probably wasn't anything special to him who had fought life and death battles. His short black hair and eyes with his strong body gave off the aura of battle harden general. His personality was cold to other except those he cared for like my step-mother and sisters.

My step mother Christina Grey was the definition of a delicate lady in appeaser. She had strawberry hair and green eyes that gave off the feeling of priceless jewels. She had been my father childhood friend but they grew distance when they got teenagers because of some reason. Only after my father divorced and his return to the city did they meet again.

My little sister was in my eyes the definition of cute girl. Even though I'm rarely around her she doesn't treat me hardly except around others. She unlike my step sister is very shy but because of her dark hair and green eyes she is know as the little princess around the neighborhood.

What really annoyed me was the commute to get to back home. It was a hour commute from my home to campus on bus but about a fifteen minute drive. How do I know? Don't underestimated how favored my step sister is with our parents. Dad on his way to the Guild to work in the morning would take her and my little sister to school but has declined to give me a ride since I was tested talent-less.

In truth its not really there fought as its a social norm for those who are like my self or have weak jobs are not given much fleck in our world. The statues menu is a innate skill that all awakens users have and its is a unspoken rule not to tell anybody your statues because people in short are asses. After opening my statues and examine my body its seems that the damage was great since I'm still unable to recover even after taking the pill of minor healing. Sighing deeply I began my daily meditation and reorganize my mind.

Gathering the mana in the air slowly and circulating it through my body is a basic skill of meditation and is helpful when increasing mana or qi depending on your preference or skill. There are advance levels of the skill that focus on specific attributes like giving the person and increase in fire resistance or refining the heart so it can stand more pressure from advance skill use. This sadly are out my price range considering I can only get money from doing level F jobs at the guild even after working there for six years of so.

After meditating I got freshen up in the bathroom cleaning my wounds and changed into my adventure outfit. A standard black shirt, Brown work pants, boots, and put on studded leather jacked. The outfit is nothing special and has hardly any protection properties. Grabbing my school bag which I also use on as my holding bag I left the house passing my uninterested family members as they were sitting down enjoying breakfast and told them good morning.

After catching the bus and transferring twice I made it to the guild head quarters near the edge of town. It was a five story building with brick reinforcing it with magical formations . It was open at all time and you could find traffic steadily coming and going from the place. I headed in and was greeted by the smell of ale and grilled meat. The first floor was for begins with ranks F-D which was common to see students such as myself or even some poor people. In the back corner was a girl with pink hair and matching pink dress behind a contest seeming bored as she twirled her hair. I signed and headed over there stealing myself. As I approached her dull eye took on a delighted glow.

“Well hello Mr. Grey come for another mission or are you just happy to see me?”

Trying to keep the annoyed tone out of voice I stared into her eyes ignoring the big guy next to her tense up.

“I've come to do a mission, my I see the catalog.”

“Humm, why are you so cold? Common and have a little chat with me after all your the longest Academy student to be ranked at F in our guild history.”

She smiled amused as she made the sound carry across the room. The noise died down a little as people were entertained by her antics.

“Ms. Moon, my I please see the book.”

“hmm, your no fun today but ow well here you go.”

Her smiling face showed a bit disappointment as she reach under her desk and taking out a old warn book and sat in front of me. I put my hand over it and invoked the incantation as letters started to appear on the empty book page.

Taking a look at the available mission with my level my options were limited. With my damaged body and low strength score being a porter would be hard, though it pays the best out of all four. The Kitchen job would help but typically since its and F mission I don't think it would be very friendly especially for someone like me. Finding a lost animal wouldn't be to hard if I bought a search crystal and resistant talisman but the time to search the city might be to long. And around her I'm kind of famous because of my aliment so getting attention from some bad people might happen. The last is and gathering request that would bring me outside the city which would be dangerous and then I'll be alone.

There are pros and cons to most of them but the safest and better is the Gathering request. I will be able to travel alone which despite the danger would give me more mobility. Also the plan they want is very common plant that grows in the forest just south toward Blossom Forest. The pay isn't that much compared to the others but its still something.

My total wealth right now should be fifteen mana cores, which in money terms is about 200 hundred dollars which isn't bad. Thinking about it I point towards the gathering quest as Ms. Moon gathers the paper work.

“Will that be all”

She leaned over giving me a clear view of her cleavage and turned her head in a come hither look. Yea, I won't lie it was tempting but he over grown ogre of a man next to her killed my teenage fleeting heart.

“Yes I would like to take a look at your basic skills.”

“Humm, planning on learning on but I thought none of your skill have made progress. Is it wise to get another.”

“I'm not getting one now just looking. Plus its a smart to have goal in mind when saving up.”

She nodded retrieving the quest book and took out pink colored one in front of me. Like before I browes though the unimpressive skill set that the guild had. I found two skill Cooking, Magic Missle which would help me out a lot.

Magic Missile – Send a burst of magical energy toward foes. Cost 50LMS

Cooking advantage would allow me to cook the meat I hunt granting me bonus beside being full as of now. It also if I leveled it could provide some income for me. A great example would be the Noodle quest and how the skill would have helped me. A person who has the ability to cook at a proficient level would probable be treated better than a talent-less user with no physical abilities when doing so. All in all it would be a great help if leveled.

The next was Magic Missal a basic wizard skill that is given after the awakening. When a person get there class they also get a basic skill, mine was learning as I thought it would be overpowered but I was sadly mistaken. It is one of the most powerful in a wizard hand because of the versatility of the spell which allows the user attack from a distance.
