《The World Of Divinity》Overcoming Difficulties!

[Draconic Roar.]
The illusion of a faint dragon came from the spear strike as Alex thought it was better off avoiding a frontal collision.
A synergy of harmony followed the Lizardman's next series of attacks.
Despite possibly having the fastest speed in the game currently compared to the rest of the player base. Alex still struggled to dodge the onslaught heading his way. Not because the incoming attacks were outrageously fast instead because they were outrageously tyrannical.
From Alex's experience he could gauge the rough danger level of any attack he received from playing the game for so many years. With this in mind, he knew that the wind pressure the Elite boss was currently forming around his spear was enough to damage him.
For a moment Alex showed a flash of hesitation from the force and power radiating from the spear strike. Luckily, he still instinctually knew to dodge and to play the situation safe.
3 strikes came at him at quick succession. On the first, he slipped his shoulder lower as he shifted his body to the side of the attack.
As the attack whistled past his ear despite pre-emptively dodging first his ear was still cut deep enough for blood to drip.

Somewhat dazed, he knew he had to try and retaliate but despite attacking the Lizardman remained on guard not showing any flaws in his defence.
Preforming [Flash steps] Alex retreated backwards as he gathered his thoughts.
Standing amidst the surrounding tree line that had their leaves and now some of their weaker branches taken by the heavy wind, Alex was deciding whether or not he should escape.
"That power, although I didn't take too much damage it was enough to possibly one hit kill me if it directly comes into contact with me."

"Ahh what to do!" He muttered to himself as he lock his eyes on the Lizardman.
"They really are creatures of impeccable defence. Not only for their green scaled armour from their portion of dragon bloodline but because of their fighting style is a form of attacking while defending."
Looking up towards the chest sat atop the rock he felt reluctant to give up after his experience in Blood Moore Valley. He really had been through it all for what was inside the Item chest. He needed it.
"Screw it, I don't believe I can't beat this green slob." Gritting his teeth he decided to fight.
[Flash steps] he activated, appearing like a phantom next to the left side of the Lizardman. Only to be greeted by a spear strike.
He gnashed his teeth at how sharp the senses of his opponent before circling around his opponent trying to find a blind spot to unleash a full force strike.
Thrust after thrust of spear blocked any opportunity of unleashing his battle prowess.
"It seems my proficiency usage of [Flash steps] can't contend with the heightened senses of an Elite boss."
"Humph, If you think that's all I've got to show you, you're wrong."
Void Steps!
Changing the tempo of his attacks when approaching the Lizardman disrupted the flow of battle that the Lizardman was clearly taking complete control over.
For the first time in a while, Alex managed to cut out some space for a strike as he removed all Mana in his movement and relied purely on brute force to push his body to extreme lengths.
Arriving behind the Lizardman, Alex with [Nature's Wrath] in hand, he brandished it with extreme killing intent pouring his frustration in his strike. Preforming [Backslash] he cut down.

"KYAAH!" The Lizardman roared out in pain as it turned it's body towards his attacker.
Inflicting a good amount of damage Alex was happy but still remained focused. Once again using Void Steps as soon as he delivered his attack.
Whoosh*
He slipped past the Lizardman's defence raising his dagger he used [Chop] this time as his other skills were on cooldown.

"Hehe, If you you can't sense the Mana output of my techniques your toast."
Strike after strike Alex used Void Steps after Void Steps.

The health bar of the Lizardman was falling faster and faster as [Bleed] was starting to activate and a big chunk of HP was taken by the x15 [Bleed] effect from [Nature's Wrath].
Like that after 10 minutes of extreme battle a mutilated Lizardman and a overspent human was drawing in on the final crescendo of the song.
"Hah, I really shouldn't be pushing my mind to these lengths at this point. I really haven't allowed my body to strengthen yet. This much would have been light work by the end of my previous life."
Even so he gritted his teeth and steeled his mind. He sure as hell wasn't going to give up because he was tired.
"KYAHAAHA!"
Enraged state emerged from the Lizardman after he dropped to 5% health remaining.
Along with it the impression the Lizardman gave off was of a unmoving mountain. His legs sunk deep into the already overturned earth. The gentle swing of his spear caused the wind to part and whistle with joy as it moved with a roar of a dragon.
"DIE!"
This time Alex didn't shy away as he released [Mana Blade] after [Mana Blade] trying to overcome the mountain in front of him by slitting it open.
Using [Flash Steps] he moved around gauging the attacks he released before using Void Steps entering the danger zone.

He was constantly receiving damage from the wind pressure and stray blades from the left over attacks. Yet he paid no heed appearing right next to the spear he placed his full force into his free hand and punched out at the Lizardman spear holding hand.
Knocking it off course ever so slightly he then thrust his dagger at the Lizardman neck.

Blood spilt all over Alex as a hole was pierced through the Lizardman's throat.
[You have killed Draconic Lizardman ELITE LvL 25. Gained 15000 XP.]
[You have received x8 Green Scales.]
[You have Levelled up!]
"AHHH!" Alex screamed out in victory as he slumped to the floor not minding the mess of blood and mutilated guts. He was all to used to it by now.
"What a fight huh."

Wizards, sorcerers and magicians still plied their trade, though much of their power had given way to the machinations of men and their war machines. Everywhere else the constant threat of a lightning swift Viking incursion loomed over the land.Growing up in this lawless world is a displaced Daynin McKinnon, heir to an ancient familial keep on the island of Rhum. He and his grandfather Ean scratch out a living amongst the Saxons, careful never to divulge their clan heritage. That all changes when Kruzurk Makshare chooses Daynin as the ideal prospect to help him bring down a vile sorcerer named The Seed of Cerberus, ferreted away in his impregnable fortress at Blackgloom. Little does Kruzurk know that in so doing, he will launch young Daynin, himself and others on a vast, dangerous quest that no one could have foreseen. *****One Hollywood producer has dubbed this three book fantasy epic from Jon Baxley as, "BRAVEHEART meets THE LORD OF THE RINGS." Real places, people and events flesh out this fast moving, multi-faceted semi-historical series but fear not fantasy readers. There's more than enough of the magical, mystical mayhem you have come to expect from great fantasy. Romance readers, too, will enjoy the 'spice' in these characters--and there are a lot of them--both human and otherwise. And if you're into Viking lore, this series certainly is for you. When someone asks the author about his series, he answers with, “There were far more surprises in this tale than I ever expected and it's not over yet!
