《ES Modern Dungeon》I got sent into Magical Wasteland!

I didn’t feel any effect yet but I could feel mana tainted by concepts I spoke of seeped out of nearby dimensions. Mana was flowing, converging into a giant river coming from all sides to me. Soon my mana senses were overwhelmed and I passed out.
When I awoke I was already in another world. I was surrounded on all sides by trees and lush greenery. The temperature was high. My initial analysis of the environment was that I was in a jungle either near the equator or near some lakes and magical thermal vent. The soil was strangely infertile and the trees upon closer inspection were really old. The area around me had high mana content but about 10 meters outside of the spot where I awoke mana was pathetically low.
I had to act quickly with my limited knowledge. I assumed that this thin amount of mana was normal for the entire region. I used parts of my bone armor to make a backpack sized extrusion on my back where I placed bones in specific locations and etched onto them runes for gathering mana. Then I made main channels from where mana would enter and made some funnels that led outward.
I also shifted my appearance, my bone armor got covered in scales and I absorbed my pinky fingers. My legs got spread slightly apart and joints were also slightly modified to allow easier climbing. I changed my tongue to one which looked like a snake tongue. Similarly I put some thermal sensors on it but as opposed to normal snakes my eyes weren’t as crappy.
My comfortable body posture got changed into hunched slightly crouching from straight. Apart from my head I was looking similar to a lizard that got cursed and assumed a human-ish figure. After my transformations my extra mana storage finally filled up and the surrounding mana content turned into near wasteland mana level.

Almost no magic in the surrounding, the trees were also sucking up some mana. Thanks to their lack of defenses I was able to see that they turned mana along with sunlight and barely any nutrients from the ground into biomass, which they later used to either grow or heal any damage.
I killed a nearby tree and took as much biomass as possible without compromising its structural integrity. I climbed it shortly after to look around and observe the sky. While the possibility of getting back to the same dimension I was exiled from was nearing zero It was still possible. My look in the sky quickly dispersed any worry that I was sent into the same dimension.
There were 2 stars in the sky with a tether connecting both. Great I ended up in the twin star system which has its merits like extended lifespan as opposed to the singular star system. But everything in the system gets twice as much radiation and other shit. To further clear out how fucked I am. Allow me to explain my imaginary audience.
In twin star systems some planets might go between the stars and depending on the circumstances like velocity of the planet and its angular momentum the full orbit or day might take thousands of years. Which sucks a lot because it’s completely fucks up any form of navigating using the stars on the night sky. The only reliable way is using magnetic poles of the planet.
Since I’m probably on the equator no matter how slow the planet is turning, as long as it's possible for plants to live, the location of the giant twin nuclear reactors will shift. The poles of the planet might shift but it won’t be happening as quickly as stars in the center of this system. Well no matter what, I should look for a mountain… Welp endless jungle. Great! My fucking luck! I now have to use mana to make myself preferably a living house. Since every tree here is gathering mana any clearing where there is more mana would be suspicious.

I wasn’t dumb to think that this world is uninhabited and if there are life forms here I might be sure that whatever lives here will be hostile to me due to my unfamiliar scent and appearance. I jumped off the tree and fully absorbed it, then I just picked a direction and went from there going for a solid 8 hours at slow jog speed. I arrived at…. more forest, some trees were closer together and that’s it. There were some bushes and small plants around.
The whole forest looked like it was mostly barren, sure there were trees around but not much besides them. This situation normally occurs in very very old forests where giant trees block out all or most of the sun actively choking small plants and lowering that soil fertility I noticed earlier.
There weren’t any better options than the place where I stopped so I just killed all of the nearby trees by draining their mana and biomass then I fused all nearby dead trees into a big cocoon inside I made 3 rooms. In the first one was my bedroom as well without any bed, just a vat made out of flesh and wood, filled with fluid biomass. The second one was my study where I would study all of the stuff I find on the surface and below it.
The third was my lab where I would test very dumb ideas, accordingly to its purpose the walls there were thicker and tougher. I had some spare space so I made it into 1 normal room and 1 closet. The other room had beds and I intended it to be a guest room. If I ever encounter a sapient it would be nice to be prepared. The closet for now became my small warehouse for all of the interesting junk I might find.
The outside wall was changed so it looked like a big tree and a bunch of small ones that just got bent when they were growing and that’s it. Of course the gaps between that bark were filled with moss and some twigs that looked very similar to surrounding bushes. Of course every space not currently used was covered in mana gathering runes.
Then I connected the roots of my house to nearby trees and their roots to their neighbors and so on and so forth. I stopped until I was about 90% to my location where I awoke. I then changed all of those roots into pipes for biomass and mana. Now when any of these trees will have more than enough mana or biomass it will be moved to my house and then stored. After my exterior mana batteries will be filled then the biomass and mana will be redistributed along the network.
I used coming biomass to create quite a big section of upper branches of a tree to completely mask the artificial clearing. Then using my skill for manipulating life I gave my network of trees a sapience and very limited of manipulating itself. It’s primary concern was to serve me and to send me biomass, as well as staying alive and alerting me if anything enters its range.

Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist (and narrator within the story) receives a last-minute invitation to join the expedition. As the expedition travels south around Cape Horn into the Pacific Ocean, the crew finds the monster after a long search and then attack it, but the ship is damaged with the three main protagonists thrown into the water. They are quickly captured and then meet the enigmatic Captain Nemo. ~ Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is a classic science fiction novel by French writer Jules Verne and was originally published in 1870.
