《Rise of Magical Empire》Chapter 6: Evolving Skills!
After making simple roads made of stone and dirt I polished them a bit and they looked decent, I made areas where I can make houses, but I decided to delay it for some time, it is unnecessary for now.
I decided to get new clothing, I don't know how I have these either, I never bought any, when I woke up I had them, they were a simple t-shirt and pants.
'Shop, Search 'clothing'
[High ranking noble clothes]
Hmm, they are good but too much blue colour and unnecessary fabric
After searching for a while I found ones to my liking
[Emperor Mu clothing]
It was clothing you would often see in the cultivation world, it was a long black robe with golden decoration on it.
'Buy [Emperor Mu clothing]'
After buying it, it was transported into my inventory, I changed into it and it looked good if I have to say myself.
'It would be good if I could find a forest, or a place where I could find resources, I hope people that come will know where I can find woods.'
After this, I caught a few fishes and got prompt
[Skill 'Fish catching' has reached level 5, do you wish to evolve skill?']
'Huuuuuh, this is a big surprise, skills can evolve? wouldn't this allow me to reach higher levels with magic within a shorter time if I evolve my magic skills?'
After thinking a bit I decided to evolve my skill.
'Evolve skill 'Fish Catching''
[Skill 'Fish Catching' evolved into 'magic chain']
After this I got a surge of information, I acquired information regarding how I could use magic to capture fish's but it could also be used in combat.
I approached the river and said 'magic chain!'
the green-coloured chain came out of the ground and the first fish that came close to it got impaled and killed, after that chain disappeared and before fish could fall to the ground another chain appeared and impaled other fish in the lake, because of lack of mana Gung Sook-Joo got pretty tired after only 2 chain attacks, so he cancelled skill.

After he ate he decided that he would evolve his skills so he can defend against people that will arrive in 7 days if things don't go the way he planned them to go, he would first make a wall which can defend again animals and magical beasts in future
He used the 'resource management' tab to get rocks and bought a blueprint for the wall it coated him 5points.
'Build the stone wall!'
[Building stone wall]
Stone started turning into brick's and placing itself in a circular shape over the kingdom, or at this stage barely village.
After it was done he went home and started practising the 'Water Mryad' technique
After 3 hours he made the first pillar, immediately after that he felt better connection between himself and the mana that surrounded him, he could feel fluctuations in mana when they happened.
After 10 hours of non-stop, and making 3 additional pillars, he got several prompts from the m system suggesting that he levelled up in meantime.
[Skill 'Mana circulation' has reached level 5, do you wish to evolve this skill?]
Incredibly happy I said 'Evolve skill'
[Skill 'Mana Circulation' evolved into 'Mana Flow']
He immediately felt much better control over mana, mana circulation had very limited control over mana, it could move into a singular line until it reached the next golden circuit, but mana flow allowed complete control over mana movement, it could be moved and bent at will allowing several times faster circulation.
He wanted to test a bit but his progress with technique would regress.
He spent the next 2 days decorating walls, eating, watering tree and training.
And he reached the second stage of 'Water Mryad' at this point he built all pillars supporting his body, he didn't feel any significant change except that he reached the level where he was able to see mana if he focused.

He also reached level nine in 'mana shaping' and level five in 'pillar building' but he was unable to evolve it.
After 2 days tree started growing at an abnormal speed, it already reached 2meters in height.
Mana shaping a technique that allows its user to use external mana mixing it with its's own, shape it to will, and give it properties.
Mana shaping work on the principle of pulling external mana toward the user, mixing it with his mana and giving it the element of its's own.
Using mana shaping to me was easier than it was to other people thanks to water myrad which the best technique in the book for building a foundation for mana shaping.
I tried making something simple, I pulled a small amount of mana towards me, after that I pulled water mana from the river mixed them and my mana, the process was smooth, at that moment a small drop of water formed above my hand.
Ding
[Unlocked skill 'Mana shaping ']
Woohoo! I celebrated, well time to continue with grind but I shall try some experiments first, I tried sending tread of mana towards my eyes and brain, results were fascinating, I could see mana and my eyesight got so much better, after that I tried sending my mana into a fist which resulted into reinforcing bones and muscles, and my strength increased.
Remembering that a group of people will be coming soon I made 5 houses, houses were good looking but they had 1 floor and were made out a wood.
Houses were empty though
I started training 'mana shaping' and evolved it into 'mana altering' which enabled me much better control over mana, elements and most importantly allowed me to change mana composition when I already launched a spell.
After another day I leveled 'Mana Flow' to level 10 and evolved it into 'Mana sculpting' allowing me to make even the most difficult things out a mana, this had its effect on mana shaping too so it became much more efficient, I could even make dual spells consisting of 2 elements without a chaotic backfire.
I also levelled up 'Magic chain' to level 3
And so the day when group of people are supposed to come came.

The Elemental Arena
*A Rational-Adjacent litRPG Survival Series.* The time for the trials has come, pitting the mortal species of the galaxy against one another. By completing challenges, clearing dungeons, and defeating rival species, the players may forge themselves stronger and smarter. But only one species will be declared the winner. Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!

Zeroth Knight
Isekai, fantasy, with the core themes of Identity and Fate. Story contains a, mostly, lesbian cast. Just when she was about to confess to the man of her dreams, Eve is taken by a light to another world. Swallowing her up, against her will, eroding her, it demands a life so contrary to her previous one. In a new world with the title of “Zeroth” forced upon her, she must rely on her newfound “friends” to stay sane and navigate her responsibilities. But bit by bit, the world loses sight of the girl inside; seeing only “Zero,” the person she did not desire to be, but the hero that the world needed. Will Eve let the title she bears consume her, or will she become the hero in both body and mind? This is the tale of her struggles, and a star-crossed love destined by Fate to never converge. This is the tale of Zero. This story is a slow-burn, meant to be a few hundred pages or more in length, so the plot isn't the fastest to move. It also has lesbian-themed relationships for the majority of its cast. This story partially falls under, "harem" with the main character being female and gaining the affection of other females, against (at first) the main character's (Eve) will. This first arc will be more focused on the mentality and emotions of the cast with battles spaced intermittently. The second arc will involve a lot more fighting. Arc two will be out in a reasonable timeframe. I have another story up, a short story drama with light yuri and supernatural themes: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/27010/escape-the-knight I am will continue updating older chapters to make them flow better, and to just be more structurally sound.
