《Moonlight Sword Sect》Hidden Order (1/2)

"Haha…" The goddess, who I was pouting to, laughs as she looks at my face.
Shameless! Too shameless!
Muuuuuu!
After several seconds of just pouting at the goddess, the goddess finally calms down as she stops giggling.
"Haa…." The goddess sighs at my face. You're too shameless!
Sigh…
Whatever. Might as well accept the truth of the goddess knowing my thoughts.
Gently, I calm down as I look at the sighing goddess. Well, there's really no need to hide anything in front of the goddess, right?
After all, the goddess can clearly read my mind without pause.
"Here." The goddess summons a white card to her hand and gives that white card to me.
I look at the card. Like the white card yura was given earlier by the sect master, it was also the card that can summon some weird stuff just by holding the card.
There's not much that of a detail on the card to be exact. Only some azure color on each corner of the card and that's basically it.
Yes, this lady is not kidding. That's just about it.
I nod in return and take the white card from the goddess' hands. As I take it from her hands, the card suddenly changes color.
It was a color of azure. Not white but rather, azure.
Weird.
"Channel your Qi to the card." The goddess said to me as she looks at the card.
I listen to the goddess and began focusing my attention on the streams of unending streams of Qi within my body. As I focus my attention on my Qi, I began guiding them to my palm to channel them from my palm to the card.
They were like lost lambs waiting to be guided by someone.
As soon as a wisp of Qi goes to the card, the card suddenly glows and many weird lines began appearing on the card. The lines were geometrical, almost seemingly flawless and beautiful.
After the weird lines appeared on the card, another set of new lines appears on the card, with this time being in the form of letters and runic symbols.
I narrow my vision on the card. At the top part of the card lies a weird symbol of a moon. It was a full moon with fogs floating around on the moon.
Weird.
Below the moon lies a runic word. Since I am not some sort of a historian or translator, I could not read the runic words.
Hey! Don't mock me for not knowing such language okay? This lady really does not know the runic words.
The runic language is considered dead already in the mortal world ya know? So if there's someone who can translate these kinds of words, it's those old folks and ancient beings that roam the cultivation world.
Also, considering the fact that near me is a goddess, she might as well know these kinds of archaic language.
Should I ask the godess? Hmm...
I look at the goddess. The goddess, in turn, looks at me and points out the runic word on the card.
"The runic you see is the name of your elemental power, stupid disciple." The goddess said to me as she points out the runic word that is below the moon.

See?
Well, it's very obvious that the goddess knows about the runic language.
Right?
"Your elemental power is the same as mine— Infinite Moonlight Illusions." The goddess telepathically said to me as she reveals the newly elemental power that I now have.
・・・・
What?
It's not a moonlight element that Yue Shin and the others are talking about?
How come?
What do you mean by 「Infinite Moonlight Illusions?」 Are they just some sort of weird elemental name named by you, master?
Sigh…
I can't believe this.
"Well, probably." The goddess smiles in return. "Although it's full name is called 「Infinite Moonlight Dreaming Haze Illusions,」 I might as well shorten its name, right?" She continued, smiling at her proud work of shortening such elemental power's name.
Err…
That's not what I mean, master. I was talking about the crystal's weird name itself. Since when did an elemental power suddenly had a long and weird name?!
I mean, I could understand if someone's elemental power is called 「Wind Storm」 or something like that but if someone's elemental power had two to three times than the original one with weird words on its name, I might as well bury my head to the sands for knowing how idiotic I am to actually believe that kind of elemental power having such name.
Sigh…
If someone hears me talking about my elemental power, they might just take me as a laughingstock.
But really.
Why is your seemingly weird elemental power different from the others? Aren't your elemental power just a moonlight element and not some weird one?
"The reason why my elemental power is different from the others is that I am a venerable goddess, stupid disciple." The goddess answers my question, pinning down any questions I wanted to ask.
Er…
What's the connection between being a god and having a weird element? Hmm…
Weird.
Definitely weird.
"In short…" The goddess stands up from the throne and began performing something using her fingers.
"Our elemental powers are unique to them." The goddess telepathically said to me, making my body spike in chills as she telepathically whispers to me.
Eh?
What do you mean, master?
Unique?
But still, that does not mean that my elemental power is weird, right?
Sigh…
Might as well accept my fate of being a laughingstock for the others.
As soon as the goddess finishes her words, the whole celestial hall reverted back to the original black hall with Hanbai's talismans covering any parts of the hall.
The gigantic black hole above me also disappeared, reverting back to a simple gigantic circle with light passing through.
"Open your hands." The goddess said to me.
Why? Is there something wrong?
Hmm…
I open my hands, exposing my white palm to the goddess. There were no signs of calluses on my hands nor scars on it.
Yes, there were no calluses on my palm.
Well, considering that even though I use heavy weapons like swords, my hands still remained the same ya know? It is soft and feels gentle to touch.
I guess that it's magic, right?
As I open my hands, the goddess takes the card from my hands. Err…

"Say call." The goddess said to me, ordering me to say the word call.
Will something happens if I say that word?
Wait…
Am I gonna be like that certain OP character that can create anything I want? Wait wait wait wait wait!
That's not possible, isn't it?
Am I going to be like that OP character?! Matte!
Wait a minute!
My poor brain is processing the fact that I'm going to be an OP character! Wait!
Wowowowow~ I'm now an OP character!
Haha… ahahahahah!
Heh, sucks on you gods. This broken lady is now boarding the OP character train!
My dreams of being OP, here I go!
Though it's just a dream.
Nah, who cares?
Right?
Anyways!
"Call," I mutter while my hands are opened.
・・・
・・・
Nothing's happening.
Err...
This is awkward.
Am I really that broken that nothing is happening despite the fact that I muttered call earlier?
Heh.
Sigh…
"Look on your hand, stupid disciple." The goddess said to the gloomy me. I'm not sad okay! I'm just gloomy at the fact that I'm pretty broken to the point that the whole place became awkward!
I look at my pair of hands. Indeed, they still stayed the same as usual.
Err…
Why did the goddess tell me to look at my hands? There's nothing here ya kno—
Eh?
What are these things on my hands?
Indeed, there was something on both of my hands. They just suddenly appeared out of nowhere like a ghost.
On my left palm lies a small crystal with small feathers around it and on my right palm lies another crystal with fog surrounding the crystal.
"These crystals you speak of is your elemental power, stupid disciple." The goddess said to me.
Err…
What?
While I was curious about the goddess' words, the goddess touches the crystal on my left palm.
"This element is called the moonlight element, capable of gathering and unleashing huge amounts of cold Qi." The goddess said.
After talking about the moonlight element, the goddess touches my right palm before saying, "This element is called the fog element, capable of misleading and tricking everybody."
Err…
Then does that mean I have two different elements?
Ah! I get it now!
I see now why is my elemental power had some weird name on it. I see! Thank you for answering and clarifying my question earlier, master!
So I'm a dual-wielder right? Heh, this lady is truly broken.
Wait, you don't know about these kinds of stuff?
Ehem, let me explain it to you.
Whenever some being had two different elemental powers, they are called as a dual-wielder. If another being had three different elemental powers, they are called three-wielder. So on and so forth.
That's about it.
Really.
"Stupid disciple." The goddess once again mocks me for being stupid.
Err...
I'm sorry for being stupid okay? This lady did not mean to be one.
"Ven…era..ble..." I hear Hanbai's voice. His voice was broken, implying that he is exhausted or something.
I look at Hanbai, only to find that he is struggling to get up even with the help of his talismans.
"Here." The goddess said as she summons a small bottle in front of Hanbai and the others.
"Ma..ny…tha..n…ks.." Hanbai said, with his word still broken.
As for the others, they nod at the goddess and began opening the bottle as if they were really thirsty.
After drinking the liquid inside the bottle, the hidden masters finally regained their strength again. It was as if they suddenly became a hulking monster.
Wait…
Why do I feel like this kind of scene feels like similar to some RPMG game?
I mean, they just drank a bottle that recovers their strength back, right?
Hmm…
Weird.
"Lady Xiare," Hanbai calls out my name with his voice normal again. Yep, he really did regain his strength.
Looking at the bottle earlier, I think the bottle would be worth as much as a palace if sold to the auction house.
I'm not kidding. This lady is telling the truth, ya know?
Well, considering the fact that Hanbai suddenly regained his strength is just a second, it would be wise to tell that the water in the bottle is a miraculous one, right?
I wonder, can I ask the goddess to give me the same bottle?
"No." The goddess immediately shot down my plans.
Err…
Anyways!
I look at Hanbai who was walking closer to me.
Is there something wrong on my face?
Quickly, I wipe with my face with my hands. Well, since this coat the goddess gave me is white, it would be unwise to use them to rub my face, right?
After all, this is a coat given to me by the goddess.
And also, considering the fact that I am poor and that, this kind of coat is like a treasure to me, okay?
Ah, right…
I forgot about the debt…
Sig— wait a minute.
I think Eumi also forgot about my debt.
If she forgot about my debt…
Then that means…
I am free of debt! Hurray! Ahahaaha!
Ehem.
Sorry for my weird thoughts.
"Lady Xiare." Hanbai, who was now in front of me, calls out my name.
"Yes?" I said back to Hanbai.
"Can you tell me about your other name?" He said, asking me for my other name.
・・・
Crap! I forgot!
Err...
Should I fake my other name?
It's bad, right?
But seriously, who cares at this point?
Right?
"Ano—" Just as I was going to fake my name, the goddess immediately interrupted my words by flicking my head.
This poor head of mine… sigh…
"Blood Queen." The goddess said, telling me that my other name is called Blood Queen.
Err...
That's not really my other name, okay?
Also, why is my other name sounds so eerie? I'm not that weird ya know?
Wait…
Is it because my forehead is red?
Hmm…
Weird.
"Welcome to the Hidden Order, Blood Queen," Hanbai said to me as he bows in front of me, implying that he is welcoming me to some sort of something.
F*ck.

Tabula Rasa : An Unbound Adventure
It starts as many things do: a clean slate, an empty page. What once was set in stone and wholly writ is gone, and all that's left is the vague notion of absence, a fullness lacking. The feeling of being tetherless, pathless, without direction or responsibility is something many would find terrifying. Others might find it freeing - an opportunity to strike out on new adventures and explore the unknown.Either way, first they have to figure out where they are and how they leave. ====== My first novel on this platform! An avid GameLit/LitRPG fan, I decided to start writing this when I seemed to exhaust all of my options for well reviewed content on the site! Inspiration for the world/general feeling is a mix of Azarinth Healer, Abyssal Road Trip, Winterborn, and the Power of Ten series, with a strong reliance on 3.5 and PF1 frameworks as a scaffold for the world. I see Arc 1 as a Robinson Crusoe style coming to terms scenario, lots of exploration of the System, the MC's options, the island and encounters with the denizens and visitors of the Timeless Isle, with a non-zero amount of introspection around their long term goals. I'll publish as frequently as I'm able but don't have a regular cadence planned at the moment.
