"Your hand is too cold." Eumi said to me as I touch her soft cheeks.
Oh! I forgot that I'm using a breathing pattern! I'm sorry about that hahaha…
Gently, I pinch her cheek one last time before I take my hands out from her cheeks. Eumi, who have been pinched by me, pouts angrily as I take my hands away from her.
Err…
Wait…
No! Why did I touched her cheeks and pinched it?! Arghhhh!! Why is your charm attribute maxed out!
Instantly, I calm myself down as I realize what I have done. I must resist the temptation of pinching her cheeks! Ahhh!
"Ehem." I cough before continuing, "Let's continue walking?"
I smile before her, hoping that her pouted mouth will go away. Although you are too cute for me to handle, my resistance for cuteness has risen up to counter your charm attribute, Eumi.
Eumi, who was pouting at me, pinches her throat as she calms herself down before saying, "Yeah."
I glance at the dead body of Eidenweiss behind me and Eumi. His left waist has been slashed openly, revealing his inner organs and his hand were cut down. Also, his chest has been stabbed multiple times, revealing that he died from multiple stab wounds.
Well, it's very obvious, right?
Although it's kinda gross to look at, considering the fact that countless wars are currently happening in the mortal world, this kind of scenario is kind of a normal one.
I'm not even kidding. I have seen much and much greater gruesome deaths than this.
After all…
Nah, I don't want to talk about it, neh?
Anyways…
As we leave Eidenweiss' dead body, we once again resume back to our search for finding the stairs. Instead of finding a stair leading up to the next floor, we only just see more and more floating bookshelves floating around.
Weird. How come there are no stairs?
I look above, only to find out more and more bookshelves floating like a bunch of meteors. Err… if only they form a stai— wait a minute!
Suddenly, I had a Eureka. It was about climbing the bookshelves.
How come I didn't think of this before? Am I really that stupid?
Wait… since I had a eureka about climbing the bookshelves, doesn't that make me an intellectual?
Hmmm…. confusing…
"Eumi." I look at Eumi before continuing, "Can you help me climb that bookshelf?"
I point at the tall bookshelf in front of us.
Eumi, who saw what the bookshelf I pointed at, nods before saying, "Un."
After agreeing, both of us head to the bookshelf in front of us and began positioning ourselves. Eumi was positioned on the bookshelf facing me as she helps me jump to the top of the bookshelf.
I, on the other hand, was both facing Eumi and the bookshelf. I'm preparing to jump as Eumi lends me a hand.
"Here goes!" I said to Eumi as I run towards her. Eumi, who heard my signal, prepares herself as she helps me jump higher.

As I run in front of Eumi, I jump to her hands before jumping once again to grab the top of the bookshelf as I climb to the top. It was a success.
Slowly, I struggle as I go up to the top of the bookshelf. As I finally manage to go to the top, I take myself a breather before Eumi climbs up.
After breathing, I signal Eumi to prepare herself to jump.
"I'm going now." Eumi signals me before going to the place where I started running. As she goes to the same location where I started to run, she takes a breather before running towards the bookshelf.
As she goes near the bookshelf, she suddenly jumps and opens both of her hands on the air. Quickly, I grab one of her hand while keeping myself intact on the top of the bookshelf.
Although it was hard, Eumi slowly walks to the bookshelf vertically while tightly grasping my hand as I pull her to the top.
Nearing to the top of the bookshelf, Eumi grasps the top of the bookshelf using her other hand. Like me who also struggled when I get myself on the top, Eumi also struggles as she goes to the top of the bookshelf.
Slowly, I pull her up while she grasps the bookshelf to climb up. It was also a success.
Now, both Eumi and I are now finally on the top of a bookshelf. Well, since we're not even a high realm cultivator yet to walk mid-air, climbing is the only option to go up.
Calmly, we both take a breather before continuing. It's hard okay? It's too hard to climb without such items helping you.
After I took a breather, I stand up and look at the entire area around me. Except for the seemingly endless bookshelves floating around like a giant maze, there's nothing around us. There were no windows on the walls nor chandeliers on the ceiling above us.
Instead, there were only countless bookshelves around us.
Eumi and I began leaping bookshelf to bookshelf to search around. As we search around, we both look at ourselves as we were shocked at the sight we're seeing right now.
What is this? How in the world...
There were tons and tons of Eidenweiss roaming the floor below us. It was as if they were searching for something.
Is it us perhaps?
I gulp my saliva as I think of it. This scene was no laughing matter. They were indeed looking for us.
I signal Eumi to be quiet. Eumi, on the other hand, nods back in return as she shuts her mouth and looks at the countless Eidenweiss patrolling the entire floor.
As we silently leap bookshelf to bookshelf, one Eidenweiss look at us. My heart once again beats louder as I see the Eidenweiss staring at us.
F*ck! Is this a round two?
I slowly prepare the dagger as I look at the glancing Eidenweiss. There were bloodstains on the dagger.

Well yeah, I did not clean it since there's no need to.
Instead of fighting us, the Eidenweiss below simply continues his duty— patrolling the entire floor. Eh? What happened? Did Eidenweiss become scared silly? Err...
Eumi and I look at each other as we see the fleeing Eidenweiss. Err… how come?
"I think it's because of the bookshelves." Eumi whispers something to me. Bookshelves? What do you mean?
I look at the bookshelf we are currently at. This bookshelf is made of wood. What about it?
Thinking of the bookshelf, I suddenly had a realization: The Eidenweiss clones mistook us for a bookshelf. I really am an intellectual for finding out such obvious reason.
Indeed, it was the only possible scenario. Well, ever since we got to the top of the bookshelf earlier, there were little to no bookshelves crashing over us. Indeed.
This lady is truly an intellectual. Heh.
I nod at Eumi's explanation about how did the Eidenweiss from earlier only glanced at us before leaving. You too, Eumi, are also an intellectual.
Once again, we continue leaping bookshelves to bookshelves, hoping to find the exit. Although there were some Eidenweiss looking at us, I did not bother them as they mistook us as some sort of a bookshelf.
*Crash!* A loud sound of something crashing rang throughout the entire floor, alerting all of the Eidenweiss below.
Together, all of the roaming Eidenwiess head to the direction where the crash happened like some sort of ghouls hunting flesh. F*ck! It's terrifying!
Some of them were directly running into the bookshelves and crashes to the bookshelves while some of them leap into the air and flies to the direction where the crash is.
Just by looking at the huge amount of Eidenweiss flying around, it could be seen as a terrifying swarm of Eidenweiss. I'm not joking.
Looking at them, I suddenly had my spine chilled as I think about all of the Eidenweiss around here attacking both me and Eumi.
It would be a total carnage.
I take a quick glance at the frozen Eumi. She too was shocked by the sight we're both seeing right now.
If not for the fact that the other Eidenweiss did not notice us earlier as they began patrolling the entire area, we would have been killed over and over again.
It's too scary to think of. Really.
I touch Eumi's hand to snap her back from reality.
"Eumi." I said to her.
Eumi looks at me and said "This lady is not scared" over and over again as she finally calms herself down.
"Let's continue." She said after finally calming herself. I nod back in return before leaping to the other bookshelves.
Slowly, we leap bookshelf by bookshelf. As we leap to the other bookshelves, Eumi constantly glances at the direction the other Eidenweiss head to from time to time. She was obviously scared.
As we finally reach the end of this seemingly endless bookshelves, we saw myriad of bookshelves acting as a wall not far away from us. There were ladders and ledges on them. It was as if they serve as a path to somewhere.
"I think that ladder might be the only way up." I point to the ladder far away from us as I talk about it to Eumi."
"Yea—"
*Bang!!!* Halfway through Eumi's speech, a loud sound of something being destroyed was heard all across the floor, causing multiple bookshelves to fall from far away from us.
Come on! Are you kidding us?
*Bang!* Another roaring sound of multiple bookshelves stretches all across the floor, making both me and Eumi cover our ears as the sound was so loud that it made our ears hurt in pain.
We look at the direction of the sound, only to find out that there were multiple swords of varying sizes and shapes attacking a large beast made out of other Eidenweiss.
What. The. F*ck?
Yes, the beast was made out of multiple Eidenweiss. It was like a slime but with Eidenweiss as its skin. Yuck!
As for its enemy however…
Since we are too far away from the battle, we did not saw the beast's enemy. However, judging from the swords floating around the beast, it looks like the beast's enemy is Yue Shin.
I look at Eumi and nod at her, implying that we should go there. Eumi also nods back at me in return.
Both of us change our direction, from the ladder to the fight.
While constantly leaping to each bookshelf, we finally see the enemy of the beast— It was Yue Shin and Fira helping one another as they attack the behemoth of Eidenweiss. Both of them are cooperating to stop the beast.
" Eyewatcher master and the Sword Summoner master." Eumi said telepathically as she leaps to where Fira and Yue Shin are.
"Lady Eumi and lady Xiare." Fira said to us while she was attacking the beast using her two silver swords.
Yue Shin, who was attacking the beast, steps back from attacking and summons two longswords beside him. "Here." He said telepathically to us.
"Un." Eumi said back telepathically.
"Yeah." I too respond back to Yue Shin's word.
After Yue Shin said "Here," the two longswords fly in our direction. As it goes flying, both me and Eumi manages to catch it. The two swords were like the swords Fira has— silver swords.
"Attack any cores you see once the Moonlight Shadow shows any openings to its cores." Fira telepathically said to us as she cut the hands of the giant slime made out of Eidenweiss.
Both Eumi and I nod back to Fira's words as we quickly head to the battle.

Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
