《Moonlight Sword Sect》To Find Her Master (3/3)

After I finally got to the deva's palms, the deva began cupping its lower hands and covers us using the upper part of its hands to protect us from falling as the deva descends down the mountains.
Instantly, both me and sister Xiare were alarmed by the deva's hands moving towards us. It looks like that this is not going to be a rough ride.
Without warning, the deva suddenly jumps from the summit, causing the snow near the deva's feet to shake and fall to the land below the summit.
"Ahhhhh!!!" I screamed. I did not think that the deva would jump without warning.
"Aahhhh!" Sister Xiare too screamed. She was tightly hugging me as deva jumps into the sky.
I let sister Xiare hug me as much as she wants. Hehe~ I finally know how to scare sister Xiare.
Inside my head, I laugh like a madman. Finally! I now know what she's afraid of! Ahahahaha!
Looking back into the past, I also did cry when a deva within the Moonlight Citadel carried me to the main hall of the sect master by leaping through each mountain. F*ck! That was way too scarier than this.
Oops~, this lady here did not mean to curse.
I peek outside to see where are we right now. Right now, we are currently in a sky. Yep, sky. There were no mountains surrounding us nor trees and snow but instead, pure pitch darkness surrounds us.
For a while, I waited for the deva to descend the land below. However, as for sister Xiare…
Errr…. how should I say this… She was hugging me tightly as if I'm a tree. I take a look closer at her eyes. Her eyes were open but they weren't moving at all.
Yep, sister Xiare fainted. Is she really that scared of such heights? Then how did she survive at the dragon beast's ride from earlier this morning then? Wait….
Did sister Xiare also pass out while riding the giant dragon from earlier? That must be a joke, right?
Right?
Silently, I prepare for the deva's descend. I won't survive if I do not prepare as the impact of the deva's landing will also affect us, causing me and sister Xiare to fully experience the impact.
I take out a small pill bottle with white pills inside. These pills are called 「Negating fall damage pill.」 As the name of the pill implies, this pill negates any damage taken while falling. However, instead of the usual penalties for using this pill such us taking twice the fall damage after a day or something like that, this pill uses the energy of the impact as an extra energy. Yes, this lady here has her pills with no side-effects.
After all, they were a gift from my master and by the sect master herse— himself!
I open the pill bottle and take two of the negating fall damage pills. After that, I simply close the bottle and put it back inside my pocket as I swallow the negating fall damage pill. I also made sister Xiare swallow the pill.

*BAAAM!!!!!* I hear a thunderous sound below me. As I could not feel anything right now due to the fact that I swallowed the negating damage pill, I did not feel any of the impact.
"Ah! Eh?" Suddenly, sister Xiare opens her eyes again as she hears the crashing sound below us. Because she could not feel it, she just remained curious as to why she heard something crashing below her.
With now finally landing to our destination, the deva's upper hands move away from us. I look around and see that the trees and snow around us were affected by the impact, causing the trees to bend and the snow to clear up everything near the deva.
And as for the ground….
The ground is cracked.
"Eh? We're here already?" Sister Xiare look at the shrine near us. Indeed it was the southeastern shrine.
Surrounded by eight white-clothed statues with a hat similar to a pointed roof on their heads, the temple was in the middle of the statues, with no signs of wearing or breaking down. It was as if the temple itself was cleaned regularly.
Once again, I look at the deva and bow at it. The deva nods back in return. After that, both Xiare and I step to the land.
"Eh? I feel lighter than before?" Sister Xiare jumps as she looks at her body then at her bo— no. Bad word. This lady does not like saying those words.
Well yeah, another effect of the negating fall damage pill is that one would feel that they are lighter than ever. However, the truth is that it's just their nerves being numb.
Innocently, I look at sister Xiare before saying, "Let's head to the temple?"
"Let's go!" Sister Xiare said with joy as she jumps around. It looks like she's having fun with her weight being lighter than before.
Though it's a pity since the effect of the negating fall damage pill can only last for a minute.
Although the energy acquired by the pill will last until one uses them.
I head to the temple being surrounded by the fabled exorcists of the Moonlight Sword Sect.
As I go near the temple to pay my respects to the lord or guardian of the temple, one of the exorcist statues looks at me and said, "Halt! This temple is only for the spirits that have lost their way. If you go inside the temple, you might not come back as you will be sucked alive by the soul door inside the temple." The Exorcist looks at me despite its eyes being closed off.
Finally, there's a statue that does speak my language.
"Soul Door?" I ask the statue. It that a path to the underworld perhaps?
"Stranger, the soul door is a door that leads to the soul realm, where one gets either banished or reincarnate again. If a mere mortal like you come inside the temple, I can not assure your safety." The exorcist said with a worried tone.

"Excuse me, but this little one needs to find somebody. Have you seen a man roaming around here?" I ask the statue.
"A man roaming around here? I am sorry but this one did not see such a man roaming around here. You can try asking the other guardians of the northern temple." The exorcist said as it points out the now-northern temple...
Sigh… I guess I have to ask the deva once again huh…
I bow in front of the exorcist. The Exorcist, in return, nods back before saying, "Farewell stranger. May you find what you are looking for."
"Thank you." I replied back to the exorcist before returning to the now-not-jumping Xiare. It looks like the effect wore off huh.
"Come, let's go back to where the deva is." I said to the gloomy-faced Xiare.
"Ah yes." She said unhappily. Is she really grieving for her weight earlier? Well, you can ask the sect master a pill that can maintain one's body from being physically fit and hot for forever. She— He'll give you a pill as soon as you ask for it.
After all, the sect master gave me one when I was looking at my weight last year… I think?
Yes, the sect master is generous. He's like the S**ta Cl**s of the Moonlight Sword Sect.
Once again, I spoke the same words to the deva and told that we are going to the northern temple this time. After I pointed out where the temple is, both I and Xiare once again go to the deva's palms as we head out to the northern temple.
I'm really sorry about the deva for being our escort. I truly am.
Instead of leaping, the deva instead just walk towards the northern temple. After all, there's really no need to jump as we are now nearing the temple based on the deva's current speed.
While the deva is 'walking' towards the temple, I take look at the surroundings of the temple. There were eight black-robed statues with a bamboo hat above their heads. Also, another noticeable feature is that their left hand are equipped with a sword chained to another sword on their other hand.
The sword they are wielding is both a rapier and a longsword chained together. Yes, I'm not even joking about that.
It looks like the rapier is for lunging attacks at the longsword is for slashing and defending attacks right? Though using them using both hands requires a great amount of practice.
For a while, we waited until the deva is finally at the temple. Once again, I bow to the deva and began heading towards the northern temple.
"Inside this temple lies a sword that can freeze anyone to death. Should you try to enter the hall and die by the cold inside the hall or leave it and live." One Moonlight True Sword wielder comes in front of me as I head into the temple. It looks like this temple too is dangerous for such mortals.
"I am not going inside the hall." I said to the true wielder. I don't even want to bother myself with fighting.
"Then why are you here, stranger?" The true wielder asks me.
"I came here to ask." I said back. There's no point in lying anyways.
"Very well. What is it, stranger?" The true wielder looks at the surroundings before looking at me. It looks like the true wielder is checking if someone is going to steal the sword or not.
"I am searching for a man roaming around here. Have you seen him?" I ask the true wielder.
Finally, after checking the surroundings, the true wielder drops its guard down and began thinking about something.
After a while, the true wielder opens its eyes once again and said, "This one has seen such a man. However, this one did not see his face. Is he the one you're looking for?"
"Well, there's no one here except my master roaming around here though.." I think inside my head. Seriously, with the huge amount of devas roaming around, who can still dare to roam these lands without care?
"Yes. Have you seen where he went?" I ask the true wielder.
"I have, but I have not seen him since then." The true wielder then looks at the southern temple before pointing its hands, "If the guardians of the southern temple have not seen the man you ask for, the man you seek is most likely be in the middle of the north and south temple. There is a hidden passageway there. Seek it and you shall see a gate leading to the hidden temple of the moon goddess. However, beware as there are multiple guardians protecting the area."
"Thank you." I bow in front of the true wielder. The true wielder nods as a reply. It looks like I'm finally going to meet my master.
And catch up with the wedding too. Tee hee~
I turn back and walk to where the deva is. However…
"Stranger, if you go to the passageway, you will be instantly killed by the guardians protecting the gates of the moon goddess' temple. Take me with you and the three other guardians of each temples as you go inside the passageway" The true wielder suddenly catches up to me as if it's nothing.
Wait…. am I going to lead an entire team right now?!
