《Moonlight Sword Sect》Eumi's Journey To The Forbidden Mountains (1/5)

『 Eumi's POV 』
"Safe tri— ehhhhhh?!!!!" I hear Xiare screaming as an invisible hand pushes us into the portal in front of us.
As we go inside the portal, I look at the interiors of the portal. It was pitch black.
Just by thinking about the portals make my head hurts. I had bad memories with portals from someone abducting me to passing out completely inside a portal.
Speaking of memories, I silently recollect my memories as I search for the scene where the sect master Jin said something to me about something last year. Uuuuuuuu my memories are so bad!
I lied earlier when I said that I remembered what the sect master said to me last year. Tee hee~
Oh, by the way, this lady's name is Eumi Hyare. My other name is called, 「Eclipse.」 I am a third realm second stage cultivator. Despite my master not teaching anything as he is currently meditating at the forbidden mountains, this lady here is personally being taught by the sect master himself. Cool right? Tee hee~
Although it's kind of weird to have my other name 「Eclipse,」 I personally like it. The name Eclipse is cool, right? Right?
Oh and also, I lied to sister Xiare about my cultivation being at just a mere first realm third stage. I'm sorry for lying about it.
Right now, this lady is currently inside the portal with sister Xiare. I look at sister Xiare before saying, "Hey Xiare, do you want to continue out talk with elder fairy Hyuxia?"
Almost instantly, sister Xiare replied back "No!"
Eeeeehhhh? Why do hate elder fairy Hyuxia so much sister Xiare? Do you hate the fact that she's more beautiful than you? Or stronger than you?
I look at sister Xiare with my mouth pouting. Elder fairy Hyuxia is my idol you know?! Why do you even hate her?
In return, sister Xiare looks at me with her eyes half-closed, implying that she already knows what I'm thinking and she is not interested in it. Uuuuuuh! This lady here shall let you know how beautiful and cool elder fairy Hyuxia is!

"Eumi." Sister Xiare says my name before continuing, "Want to go to the sweets stall outside of the hall of illuminating lights?"
"Hey! I know what you are thinking! You're trying to distract me with such obstacles to prevent me from talking about elder fairy Hyuxia! This lady here shall not give in to such sweets! Sweets are bad!" I say to myself as I resist the temptation of eating sweets.
However, despite my resistance, I gave in to the temptation and replied back, saying, "Sure! Let's go!" to sister Xiare. How could I be such a fool! Uuuuuuu!!
"Hehe, let's go there after we find your master." Sister Xiare grins as she completes her mission of distracting me. I must increase my resistance against sweets next time to counter sister Xiare's distracting plans!
But where is this "hall of illuminating lights" that sister Xiare talks about? Did she found a good sweets stall there? Nuuuuuu! Did she already taste every sweets located in that hall of lights? How could she leave me behind like that?! Going around to eat sweets without inviting me! That should be a crime!
"Finally I can see the exit." Sister Xiare looks forward while being pushed around by an invisible hand.
I stop looking at sister Xiare and look forward instead. There was a light coming at the far end of the portal. Using a scoping skill called "Enshi" which zooms the sight of the user, I look at the exit of the portal. There were trees and grass outside the portal.
After looking outside, I cancel out my skill. Using skills can cause Qi exhaustion you see. Since I'm using a skill that is meant for 4th realm cultivators and above, the skill consumes my Qi pool twice as fast as a penalty for using it. Sucks right? This lady also agrees with your opinion. Unless you think that the penalty does not suck, that is. Right?

I silently meditate to recover my Qi. Sister Xiare on the other hand, is thinking about something. Although I could not guess her thoughts, I feel that she's playing something inside her head as she constantly smiles or be angry about nothing from time to time. Weird.
We waited for quite a while until the invisible hands finally push us out from the portal. I'm glad that I manage to recover a little bit of Qi that I lost when I used the scoping skill. Sister Xiare, on the other hand, was smirking about something. Better not to bother her I guess?
I look at the surroundings. There were trees and flowers everywhere. Small animals such as squirrels were playing over the meadows. Also, there were people everywhere. Eh? People? Shouldn't be the place we are heading to is the forbidden mountains? Why are we in a town instead?
I walk over to the nearest mister. As I go in front of the mister, I utter, "Hello there mister! Can I ask you a question?"
Although startled, the mister calms himself down and said, "Hello there miss. What can I do for you today?"
"Do you know where is the forbidden mountain located at?" I ask. I'm really sorry for not knowing the place of the forbidden mountains. I really am.
"Eh? Why do you want to know where the mountain is? Are you seeking death perhaps" Said by the mister with doubts in his eyes.
"Umm, we're not seeking death mister. We just want to know the location of it." I replied to his question.
While looking at me, the mister sighs before pointing Xiare and saying, "Just go to the direction where the young lady over there is. Although it's a forest, just go deeper until you see a shrine. That shrine has a gate that will lead you to the forbidden mountains. Also, please don't tell anyone about this info I gave you. Saying about the mountains here is a taboo but since you are polite, I gave you some information about the mountains."
"Thank you, mister, for your information." I said to the mister.
"No big deal." Replied by the mister.
I then bow in front the mister before leaving the mister. The forbidden mountains are deep in the forest huh. Strangely, I could not seem to find the mountain as I look up above.
"Xiare! Xiare!" I shout at sister Xiare.
"What is it?" She replies back.
"I found where the mountains are! Follow me!" I then ran towards Xiare.
"Huh? Where is it?" She asks.
"Just stay there!" I reply back.
"Huh? Okay?" With a confusion in sister Xiare's eyes, I ran faster until I am finally in front of sister Xiare.
"Follow me." I hold sister Xiare's left hand with my right hand as we go to the direction the mister pointed at— northwest.
==============
"Lux Exquivale... What a beautiful name." A girl's voice was heard throughout the mountain. It was a gentle voice that could charm anyone as soon as they hear those words.
The voice itself was not too loud, nor is soft either. It was as if the voice came from inside one's own head. It was an area-wide telepathy, with the user being a female.
"Soon, I will find you... Then we will live together..." The girl's voice was once again heard by every living being within the mountain. Be it a rock or a small critter, the voice was something that even the winds can hear.
"For forever." Suddenly, the entire mountains became cold as a moon with a color of blue appears on the sky.

Sweet Minds

The total word count of the first 30 chapters will amount to about 225.000 words. My chapters range, roughly, from 5.000 to 10.000 words. I post with irregular intervals, on random days and at different times. I hope you will enjoy the story! English is not my first language and I am very much open to constructive criticism. My Failed Reincarnation as a Demon’s Prisoner
When Kayn opened his eyes in the empty void, he was met with a familiar voice and the knowledge that he was neither dead nor alive and about to be reincarnated. What he didn't expect was to reappear in the world of the living and immediately get captured by a clan of demons, now living as their prisoner. After a lucky encounter, Kayn stumbles upon a room that could possibly give him what he needs to free himself from their captivity. But, as he soon finds out, escaping from the demon queen herself isn't the easiest of tasks... **DISCLAIMER**This story attempts to be quite comedic (I don't know if I'm doing a great job at it) and will be more comedy heavy at the start than later on. As the situations Kayn finds himself in become more grave, the story will become serious and less comedy oriented. There will always be comedy throughout, but at some point I do plan on shifting the focus. I'd love to hear everyones opinion on whether the comedy should be kept in full, or dialed back a little so the plot can take centre stage more often. Happy reading!
