《The Conqueror's Black Book》Chapter Twenty: Annihilation

This made Zephyr wonder really how strong his father really was. Was he a Great Master? Elite? Maybe even those prized Ascended? This fired up Zephyr as he wondered how he could reach that level as fast as possible. He slowly adapted to his skills and was thinking about the prospects of his abilities in the future.

How could he utilize each of them and what was the max he could bring out at one time. Zephyr was excited to experiment and after a whole three hours of silence between the awestruck Draco and him, he finally stood up and turned to fight some more.

Seeing him arise made the quiet Draco stand up in determination, they looked at each other and dashed towards the monsters again.

Strikes, energy blasts, weapons, fangs, claws, arms, anything and everything was being thrown about and blood was pooling the entire area.

After around forty minutes of intense battling Draco would be forced to throw off the monsters at his legs and arms and dash back to the safe area while covering his ripped flesh all over.

Somehow the monsters found him more appetizing or their grudge was deeper to the person who was harrasing them for a longer amount of time, thus their focus was more oriented towards Draco.

After retreating safely and gasping for air, he'd watch Zephyr go at it for another thirty minutes and strike down a bit more of the enemies.

"A demon..." Draco quietly muttered, and rightfully so. Over the course of this time, Zephyr's hair had grown mildly long and scraggly, his eyes were glowing purple and he was donned in bloody black armor with corpses around him.

Many serpent like beasts were slain and other bubble fish were used as distractions. Slowly the monsters were adapting to the way Zephyr was fighting, however, Zephyr too was breaking his limits and also reaching new heights.

Just like that the manic Zephyr would grow more focused with every exchange with the monsters while utilizing new weapons and summons from the corpses he killed.

Through trial and error of fighting the monsters, Another month had passed. Once again, Zephyr stood up from the safety zone in preparation for his fight.

"So from what I've learned, I can at most have two other summons from the black book, not including the seals, while attacking.

I can also employ two fused summonings if their attributes are remotely the same. my armor is self sustaining so it doesn't take much to employ, just got to take care of its weight." He used the time spent recuperating to also review his battles in an attempt to better refine his form in combat.

Meanwhile the little kitty he got had a love for raw meat and so Zephyr would just grab a corpse on his way back to the area and watch the kitty eat in extreme satiafaction while he and Draco would cook their fish for a quick meal.

"I think I'll call you, Flaare." Zephyr announced while patting the purring kitty and feeding it some meat. It had remarkably grown from eating monsters two whole classes above it and was around one meter in length, looking lithe and agile.

Its pupils were its biggest trait, one dark purple while the other bright red. It's flame however, was a shade of dark purple that would change to ink black when angry.

Thinking it was time, Zephyr wanted to try a new experiment involving Flaare. thus he got up and donned his Tyrant's Armor and raised his left hand, summoning the black book.

"Possession: Ifrit phantom!" Zephyr yelled. A ring of fire encircled him and burned brightly around him. He then let out a bright smile.

"Its time for your debut, Possession: Flaare!" With that, a massive roar resounded as the baby lion flew into his back.

The ring of fire blazed stronger and changed to pure black and the atmosphere started feeling bleak and dark imperceptibly.

The armor around Zephyr also donned some changes as fire was being emitted from its wrist openings, shoulders, chest plates, stomach.

Anywhere with a slight opening in the armor had fire and smoke billowing out of it rapidly. There was also the emblem of a burning Lion on the chest of Zephyr's armor which shone brightly.

All Zephyr felt was a burning sensation and he just wanted to release the embers of his power, all he needed was an outlet.

He raised his hands and converged every flame and energy he could muster into his right hand and watched the fire burn and spread chaotically.

After a while of charging, he stepped out of the safety zone and looked at the stampeding monsters with a slightly nefarious smile.

"Blazing Annihilation! With a swipe of his hand, the chaotic flames swept forward and rivetingly made contact with the beasts at the front of the stampede which couldn't dodge. This caused them a to immediately start burning and spreading the flames of fury in a magnificent manner.

The crackles of the fires and the cacophony of painful roars were just like music to the tired Zephyr's ears as he watched with enlarged eyes the effects his fire had on the monsters.

"What the? Is this my.... Power?" Zephyr looked at his hands and slowly felt the fatigue sink in and fainted on the spot.

Draco also looked on speechless at what was in front of him. Nothing. There was no more monsters.

It was a complete annihilation of everything the fire touched and it was still burning the marbles black and didn't look like it would leave anytime soon.

It was totally undefendable as it burned using the person it landed on as fuel. The more energy one has, the more it feeds the flame to be greater. Once it devoured everything then it would devour the monster itself.

It's pure destructive power and parasitic nature chilled Draco as he witnessed the after effects. He turned and looked at the unconscious Zephyr with a myriad of emotions.

Should he kill this magnificent young threat while still able to with little difficulty, or leave him be as he remained in Zephyr's debt.

After a long five minutes Draco's claws were exposed and poised to Zephyr's throat. When he struck he stopped right at the jugular and swiped away, releasing his transformation.

"If I defeat you it will be while your at one hundred percent, not like this. Although this is the beginning of a rising calamity for our tribe, what better a hero to stop it!" with that Draco's eyes brightened up with motivation and excitement.

Somewhere far away in a completely dark place, two green eyes the size of massive orbs opened and started shining blasts of light which penetrated the sky with breakneck speeds.

the ground started shaking near Zephyr and Draco.

The entire arena started cracking and they were once again transported together to a collapsing place once again. Streaks flew into both their bodies and then they disappeared from the location.

Outside the Duke and the Krosé were in a showdown of sorts. They were repeatedly yelling insults and curses at each other, blaming the other for the current misfortune they were in.

"I'm giving them one more week or I swear!" The Duke gave his ultimatum.

"I should have never allowed the boy in, I will kill you in one week to avenge my young master!" Krosé roared with red eyes.

All of a sudden while they were yelling the ground started having tremors. It was getting so intense that not even these two veterans were able to keep their ground and had to crouch for support.

There the gate was shining a verdant green and released a ray of light where two boys appeared on top of one another, both unconscious and riddled with injuries.

Then, the gate itself started dissolving into nothingness and totally disappeared from existence.

But the two grown men were more concerned with the two boys. Krosé roared when he saw the state Draco was in and pointed a finger at Duke Reinhardt.

"Look at what your boy did to my young master, pay with your life!" He started accumulating energy and was ready to strike when a hand stopped him.

"Don't, Zephyr saved me and covered for me for a long time, I don't know how I could have came out alive if it wasn't for him." Draco explained as he rose to his feet, then he looked at the Duke.

"Tell him thank you for me, and that he has an eternal friend in me, as well as rival. Let's go, my wounds are not small." Draco got on Krosé's back and departed deeper into the forest while the Duke examined Zephyr and was in shock.

His left arm was in the wrong direction and his right arm had barely any flesh. Aside from that the others were flesh wounds but what surprised the Duke was that the arm was slowly moving back into place and the bones were glowing green and were sucked into the left arm.

The flesh on his right arm was all charred and wilted but green lights were being emitted around it, showing a slight healing process as a seal was hovering high above Zephyr.

Despite that, he still would not wake up. Thus the Duke pulled him into the chariot to rest before all else.

Back in the world of darkness, Zephyr looked around and saw more shadowy figures.

"I knew it, these are the recordings I have in my books. They all appear here so does that mean this book has a domain? But why do I not see the phantoms of the monsters I just battled." Zephyr mused and was in wonder as he looked about.

Then the book in its entire glory appeared. It was five meters in height and Six meters in width. A flash of purple and a new page became the first page of the book. It was titled table of contents.

What was on it however was remarkably little.

Table Of Contents

Possessions

Enchantments.....O

Armaments.....X

Tyrants armor...O

Conquerors Axe....X

Seals

Seal of Gravity....X/O

Seal of Rejuvenation... O

Seal of Frenzy....O

Seal of Subjugation... X

That was all so far. From what Zephyr knew was that O meant he had access while a X is still locked.

Runes weren't there because he had next to no knowledge on them and armaments, aside from the Axe he also knew nothing.

The seal of Frenzy probably had something to do with the Gorilla King which got killed, but somehow its ability became a seal.

"An upgrade perhaps? Then does that mean there's more potential in seals then?" This got Zephyr excited for his finding and after a couple of minutes he slowly went dormant, not before seeing a flash of green light.

Once awoken he saw his grandpa who looked weary and had a whole gruffy beard by his side with a worn down face.

Despite all that when he saw Zephyr, tears welled up and he put him in a bear hug and quickly asked for details. Thus Zephyr went over the details of everything that happened in the rift, all the battles, the beast he acquired, boosts to his abilities, experiments and even the magic seals.

He told his grandpa everything and was confused why he had a look of absolute shock and fear in his face. Then, tears started pouring from his eyes in streams as he pulled Zephyr into a hug again, a gentle one this time.
