《TARGUM: The Architects Of Pride》Chapter 33. Undercover (Still working on it)

Waldorf and Godfrey stepped into the beam that emanated from the preset co-ordinates on the three dimensional image of Agios. Greaves could put someone within a span of where they wanted to be. Waldorf hoped for both their sakes that they would not materialise in a wall. Greaves had said this was impossible. Waldorf thought to himself 'there is always a first time.'
He had gotten use to Godfrey's new face. It was great to be able to walk with him without his friends mind chair. The lack of grumbling took some getting used to too.
They were both excited. An actual trip off Torah without some mindless bot giving them health and safety advice throughout. Was a real adventure. They had serious work to do. Deller was ruling Mangor with a strong will and was close to becoming worshipped. There was no doubt in Waldorfs mind that Deller would soon be making himself a diety. Building images of himself and controlling the people was something Waldorf and The Warden were trying to stop. This visit was more for finding out the way the magic worked and coming up with an idea to ensure it could be managed safely in the right hands. This was more Godfreys job but it tied together nicely for them both to do some undercover work.
They dressed in the manner of traders from nearby Turo. Godfrey commented that their clothes were far too clean and unruffled as they had been replicated as new. Waldorf suggested that when they arrived they should 'roll around a bit in the dirt'. Godfrey smiled at him.
The beam placed them safely on a strip of beach near to the quayside. The buildings of Pride were angular and spacious. It felt so well laid out. Not the crammed together hovels and sheds that Waldorf had seen on vids of Kings-Port. It was a rapidly growing town and was built with the future in mind. After the quiet beach the town itself was a hive of activity. It had a bustle. It had shops selling all kinds of food and drink. People everywhere, running errands, shopping and they all appeared to be happy.

"I think I like this town." Waldorf commented. "It would be a lovely place to retire."
"I think I would rather live at Evans my friend. I thought you were against retirement? It may be a nice place to visit. That inn looks rather tempting. Shall we pop in after our business is done?" Godfrey replied.
Waldorf nodded with a grin. "It has been a while."
Waldorf realised he missed life. It was so nice to be amongst people again.
He continued towards the guild house. He was on a mission. He vowed to himself that he would like to visit more planets and towns in the future. For now he had a job to do.
After climbing the slight slope through an avenue of trees. They came to a large door and pulled a chord that rang a bell. A rather agitated woman in her youth answered the door. The cause of her agitation seemed to be several toddling children pulling at her hem.
"We are here to see Soloman. We are traders." Waldorf spoke precisely. Godfrey looked embarrassedly at the floor.

She is in deep trouble and the consequences will be dire if she can’t find a way out. She is a fighter, though, and just doesn't quit. She has to do her best, and maybe her best is pretty good. As Sally uncovers more about her situation, she finds that she has to be smart and tough and that in this place she needs to depend on her friends, who are using her as much as she is using them. This book contains themes concerning life, death, and body functions, light swearing, minimal nakedness, and should be suitable for most. Some pertinent info: Ten Thousand Sallys is a complete novel of approximately 140 pages in 20 chapters. Around 80,000 words. not too long, and maybe too short.
