《Godfather World》Switching Sides

Oritha did not give a fuck. Whatever her shitty guild and party members were telling her to do, she thought it was dumb. There was no need to run around killing people when they could win by securing the flags. That was the only reason she came to the library, even if she wasn’t a fan of books.
Now that the Death Princess wanted to try, she would let her. Besides, these eggs were good. The rumours about Guild Survivor getting their hands on a very talented rookie who excelled in the kitchen made her envious. She had enough of these idiots in Guild Carnage. They don’t even feed her properly, and if it wasn’t for the agreement she had with Felix to support someone with true blood for future survival, she would have left.
As the Amazonian made her way to the cafeteria base, she sensed bloodlust from her right and reacted swiftly.
The collision made her growl. This opponent wasn’t easy to handle, and Oritha put some distance between them.
Liu Feng frowned. He couldn’t tell who this was, but this person could withstand a hit from him. Regular people would have shattered if not fractured bones. What a strong body!
“Seer,” the Amazonian could help but be amused by the appearance of Johan’s nemesis. What were the odds? Did he return from his hunt because he sensed danger to his sworn brother?
Although the voice was unfamiliar, Liu Feng had a feeling that this was the woman Akiko said would appear at the cafeteria. Presently, they were navigating through the first floor of the library. Liu Feng had to stall her a little even if Oritha was not hostile towards Zen.
“Why are you here?” Liu Feng asked and paid attention to Oritha’s movements more than usual. Virtual reality did not replicate the sensation for all senses equally.
Although the Amazonian knew that Liu Feng was deliberately stalling her, she did not mind. It wasn’t as if she had anything important to do at the moment. If anything, she was curious. Why would someone like Akiko treat Zen with so much respect? She did not question the Seer’s preference. It was a known fact that this man was a nutcase and gourmet. Zen was a cook, and his abilities must have pleased the Seer enough to want to own him.

“Akiko told me about your guild’s advisor. I’m just curious to know if the grass is truly greener on the other side. After all, some of us already know how this game should be played. Only those with true blood can clear the stages.”
Liu Feng said nothing. This lady knew about the true Godfather candidates too? Only top families with good connections knew the truth. Akiko’s family probably told her about this possibility. It was the only reason why Liu Feng joined her guild and Zen’s party. Someone had to put a leash on the Death Princess. It didn’t matter how noble she looked. She was still a person with a surname. He wouldn’t put it past her to stab Zen in the back if her family ordered her to do it.
“Whether or not the grass is greener here, you’re an enemy if you are from Guild Carnage.”
Liu Feng’s statement made the female warrior throw her head back in laughter.
“Are you rooting for the true candidate in your guild? Do you think he can win against Carnage’s true candidate?”
Liu Feng did not answer. Logically speaking, Felix would make a better Godfather than Zen with his natural ability to lead and fight. He was everything a perfect mafia was and the complete opposite of the very civilian-like Zen.
However, the Seer was a selfish man. The future he wanted was a place with good food and an impossible utopia where nobody had to starve. The only person who was the closest to making his dark world a little more flavourful was Zen, not Felix.
“If Zen cannot climb to that position on his own, I will assist him with everything I have. He’s very civilian-like, and I don’t think he knows the truth yet. The blood has not awakened in him.”
Surprised that Liu Feng was telling her such sensitive information, the Amazonian thought about it.
“Why?” she asked. “He’s only going to be cute for a while. As the battle royale games progress, he will be a burden that will kill you.”
Hearing that question put a smile on the Seer’s face. It wasn’t a cold one. It was the rare genuine one that only appeared in front of his brother or Zen.

“He won’t. He’s going to be the light we need in this world. In fact, I wish to keep his conscience clear until the end. Did you know he makes meals for everyone in the guild every time we have a meeting and never turns anyone away from the kitchen? He cooks so much for others that he forgets to eat himself.”
Although he could not see, Liu Feng was willing to bet that someone like the Amazonian who experienced starvation and hates it would be moved by what he just said. He revealed how Zen was their dark horse in this competition to add the final nail to this coffin.
“How many people in this academy do you think would oppose the Round Table’s offer?”
Oritha paused. She heard about it but thought it was a joke. To think that there was a person brave enough to reject the Round Table’s offer to side with the Godfather who hated them all. No, to be more accurate, he wasn’t brave. Zen was a fool.
“Don’t think of him as a weak fool,” Liu Feng chuckled. “I believe that Zen can become the next Godfather, and this is not out of favouritism. After all, he’s a forerunner with just about everything in this strange competition. Think about it. He has titles, invigilator pledges, knowledge about how to clear the dungeons in a way that we struggle with and a plan to end the event without losing a single guild member’s life that did not involve any fighting.”
The more Liu Feng told her about Zen, the more the Amazonian wavered. However, she did not want to join guilds. She did not trust them and wanted nothing to do with the politics there.
“There’s something called a party,” Oritha said. “If you include me in your party, I can make a vow to not harm your party members and become a sword for protecting the Godfather candidate of your choice.”
Liu Feng frowned. Joining a party is not the same as joining a guild. It was more intimate.
“Aren’t you already in a party with Johan and Felix?”
Oritha nodded and brought her status screen up. “It wasn’t something I wanted. They simply roped me into it and promised me something good for me back then when I was drifting. I can leave the guild and party if you agree to add me to your party.”
The Amazonian was a straightforward person who didn’t like to lie. Liu Feng believed her. However, this wasn’t his decision to make. The party leader of Godly Food wasn’t him.
“Leave your guild and party first and apply to join our guild,” Liu Feng told her. “I have no control over the party. I’m not the leader.”
Hearing that Liu Feng was not the party’s leader, Oritha paused. “Who is the leader? Death Princess?”
It was difficult to think that the Seer would agree to make the Death Princess the party’s leader. They might be powerful people who were equally matched in combat powers. However, they had very tall pride that would not allow themselves to be at another person’s command, much less each other.
“No,” Liu Feng smirked. “The party name is Godly Food. It belongs to our advisor.”
For a while, Oritha did not know if the Seer was joking. However, the party name really did exist, and Oritha made a face. That would mean walking into enemy territory and convincing the brat to take her into their party. Already, Godly Food had four members.
The Amazonian felt some sense of urgency to be accepted in Zen’s party now that only two slots were remaining if she wanted to escape for Carnage’s manipulative arms. Even if she was a sword to be wielded, Oritha wanted to choose her master. Putting her lots with the Seer and Death Princess would be wiser than getting dragged along with Johan’s schemes.
No, it wasn’t a grudge. Oritha tried not to include her personal feelings from what happened earlier when Johan messed the library up in an attempt to collect ‘free eggs’.
This was simply a good business decision for her. Besides, what was more important than securing a steady supply of food? Zen would feed anyone, and if Oritha could get past his solid wall of defence called Liu Feng and Akiko, she need not worry about starving ever again for the rest of her stay in this academy.

A Nerd's Wet Dream Come True (Tossing an OC into Marvel)
John was an average man. At least that's what he tells himself at night. He lived in a rented apartment in the decent district, a well-paying job, and more student debt than he cared to think about being steadily paid off. Yet he was absolutely miserable. He spent his days living like a zombie, a slave in all but name to corporate. His only joy these days it seems was reading comics and writing fanfics. SI ones. Choke full of power fantasies and large harems. Yeah, even he had to admit he was a loser. His only redeeming feature seemed to be his photographic memory and the library's worth of comics and books he has read. Yet, when fate took pity on him and had John transported into the Marvel Universe, he was only all too happy to oblige. A second chance to make something of himself. Is he going to finally have the comfortable life he wanted? Will he laze away relying on his past life's knowledge or does he want more this time? Will his ambition and hard work lead to sweet fruits, or will it rot away in the darkness hiding beneath the colorful costumes of the hero's society? Now with crossovers! Be warned if you don't like to see OCs messing up the timeline or DC and other stuff showing up. I swear I'm not randomly adding stuff and there is a legitimate (as far as comic books and fanfics can be) plot reason why. (I'll be honest, I don't know "cannon" marvel really... I watched some movies and animated series as a kid, but I haven't picked up a comic in years. This is just some light-hearted and casual writing for fun. If there are any errors or something you think would be cool please let me know.) I'm also trying to have multiple main characters so that might be jarring for some people while I switch perspective. Sorry in advance, I'm new at this and idk what I'm doing, advice and feedback gladly welcomed!
