《Blood Limit》Ch 27

When I summoned this place, true I had thought of bringing back nature. But when I had only a swamp in mind I did not think that I would bring this forestry here as well.
As we were going I began to realize this place I had summoned was not just swamp like what you would see in fantasies but it was forest and so much more.
The forest was really quite as we past but I could sense the life within it, interesting birds were the only thing daring enough to show.
I heard a screech and my head tilted back to give me view of the sky above, above flying among the trees were birds with I had never seen before. I could tell they were white before they disappeared into the trees.
I let my sight take a gander at the the place as we past.
My senses were in constant shock from encountering things new to them. Although they were familiar with nature this goes beyond my long time beliefs I developed being born a human on earth. The taste of the air was exquisite, granted it made me feel like I could go on forever.
My old eyes were useless compared to now. I saw things in a grander light everything appeared more lucid than before and the nature around us possessed a specific radiance to them. Small wisp of light came from everything and vanished just moments after it'd come making the place appear magical. The sunlight had hit us at a splendid angle which made me feel quite relaxed despite this unfamiliar situation.
"We are here." My attention was pulled back to the female elf as she had spoke. I glanced around and I already noticed the lack of grass beneath my sandaled feet. We had treaded dirt for a while before we arrived to where we are now. Before us was a large yard the size of a baseball field, there was a huge wooden house three stories high just at the edge of the forest. All around this baseball like area was dirt with few blades of grass growing randomly.

The house seemed rather ordinary with few stone structure that worked as both the strength of its foundation and design of intricate, ornate affairs on the material. For a house constructed on top of a dirt surface I thought it had been maintained very well.
Then I saw the reason..
Coming around the corner with a anxiousness about him had been a man. His head baled exposing a green tattoo on the side that had no hair to be covered by. He had a stocky build, scars on his body had yet to heal. He wore a white tunic and brown trousers. The handle protruded from either side of the bucket shaped like a semi circle he held it in his left hand, the bucket had a dry white towel which hung off the top edge of it, in his right hand was a wash cloth that originally used to be white but was smudged by the dirt. His right hand wiped the surface of the stone as he attempted also cleaning the ornate affair of it. Before he saw us at least..
"Lady Aryna!" The suppose slave cried, with long strides he made a bee-line toward us. He had been at the side of the house and we were crossing the front so he had to turn the corner before he stood blocking our path. His actions left me dumbfounded and I was looking like 'why'?
He dropped the bucket to the ground, the impact made some of the water come out but it was abysmal to the full bucket, I noticed a large leaf floating at the bottom. I heard a thud, the man had fallen on both knees and groveled in front of the elf I've been traveling with. Her name is Aryna huh? The man was shivering in fear and his respiration worked overtime as I could practically feel the sweat in the air.
"You.." Her intense gaze landed on his back. Then she sent a glance at me, looking as if she changed her mind on something she looked back at the guy. "Resume your cleaning duties." The man shook.

Standing slowly he picked up the bucket and went back to the wash cloth he dropped at the wall he was cleaning, not before shooting me the 'I tried!' Look as he past.
"You didn't have to restrain yourself for me." I said as we continued our steps. She looked at me a moment as I kept pace.
"I did not do it for you." She said. We were approaching the stairs and stopped. I stopped my tracks as well and looked to one another.
"That isn't what I saw back there, I am not here to free these slaves. They are not my people. Don't worry about me. I'm not here to free them." She looked slightly concerned. "Are you really only here for..? Why did you come here? Its true your interest in my people?" She said appearing confused. I had not told her why I done what I did in detail. But her guess was only partly true.
"I have come.. because I thought that this would be interesting." I uttered honestly. Her eyes had opened gradually and her mouth ajar. That was before she frowned at me.
"You came here because it's interesting?" She exclaimed with electric bolts flying from her head coming with being stunned I nodded as I tried to hold back a laugh. "You- I told you they would kill you right! Why have you come anyways!?"
"But were you not the woman who lead me here? And whats this, when do your elves not want to enslave humans?" I asked her. From astonishment to shock, only her mouth hung open before her lips came together again. "I won't mind being your slave ya' know?" I got to see her mouth open again as she returned to the stunned look. I watched her eyes narrow and smirked to my self, as I allow my self to be amused by her.
"E-enough games!" She shouted as she stomped pass like a kid, she ascended the steps. Her skirt was tighter in back. The shape of her hips and the delicate curves of her back were imaginable.
"Ill wait here." I told her. She shot me a glare for a few seconds before she swung open the door with her left hand, stepping in she disappeared inside before slamming it shut.
I chuckled at her mix of emotions. I sighed and looked at the steps. I sat down on the top most step, the third one and my bending my knees I spread my sandaled feet across the first step and studied the vast open space in front of the house. When I felt like I was being watched I looked to my side and found the human slave from before. I lifted an eye brow at his pose. He had two hands next to eachother wrapping the corner of the wall as his head stuck out with the other half of his body. Only his neck properly hidding behind the wall. After he saw me raise an eyebrow only then did he run from his post and go back to cleaning.
I thought of playing parrot a little and repeating his actions but decided not to waste my time. Soon enough ill be meeting the 'True primordial' it looks like. I don't intend on anything big so I also hope that this goes well.
"What do I do?" I asked to my self and my gaze went to the skies.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge

A Fool's Journey, or the Vagrancies of a Man in Exotic Lands
What does a sad bastard do when fate, literally, decides to throw him into a fantasy world? Solon just wanted to lead a normal life; work, share some pizza with friends, work, play some videogames or read something, work, maybe sleep?, work... Pretty much the usual, rinse and repeat. It was far from perfect, but life was nicely boring and comfy enough. Truth be told, he had hoped it would go on forever, or until he got married, or until the apocalypse finally decided to bring an end to everything. As far as he could tell, though, the former was about as likely as the latter; not very. And perhaps even somewhat related, if it ever came to it. Unfortunately, he saw himself involved in some sort of cosmic fart that screwed him over, brutally severing his life-plan. Or, maybe, would it be more suitable to say that Fate had other plans? Sure, he's yet to find out exactly what those plans might be, but, at the very least, they do seem to involve him being shoved into another world, fighting off a couple of horrendous creepers, and -almost- an accidental liaison with a baboon. Needless to say, the job doesn't come with dental care, and death seems more likely than retirement... Yep, when he got yoinked out of Earth, there were no princesses waiting for him, no sexy goddesses, and no severe Gandalf-wannabes! Heck, not even a bunch of demonic cultists! All he got for the trouble was a bunch of snarky windows and the honest desire to punch whatever bastard happens to be behind the smug System. Well, that, and a few forced trips to the so-called Tower of Ascension. Not exactly what he would have expected but, on the plus side, he does get to do some magic. Though, not quite the wand-waving kind. Whatever. One thing’s patently clear, though, he’s certainly not the chosen one, nor the summoned hero, nor the Savior. If anything, he himself might be in need of some saving... Just what kind of fool does the System take him for? Please do consider the tags. Also, 'Strong Lead' here means weak to strong, over a decent amount of time, not op from the very beginning. Things to expect: decent grammar, cheeky goats. Things not to expect: Harems, a decent sense of fashion.
