《Why do I have to be the SI?!》Chapter 5

“Alchemie, Transmutation, Tauchenergie und Aufstieg” I continued to speak the language used by the Ulmish when using magic while the rest of my consciousness weaved my magic and the matter in the alchemical circle to create the materials needed to create the armor Hadrian would use.
“Stahl aus Ulm und Eisen von Zauberhand und die Zwerge' des Berges” As the words were said and the magic twisted and turned the materials in the ritual seems to melt together and combine into a single whole, then the magic was really put to the test as it was converted from raw mana into matter.
“Materie für Mana, Mana für Materie, erschaffen die Rüstung des Ritters von ulm” As materials that were missing from the original components were created by the magic to fill in the gaps and finally the magic and Materials finally started to gather into a single whole.
“Großer Gott Drakevof vom Drachen gebt uns die Rüstung eines wahren Ritters” Finally the last part of the ritual was completed as the magic and matter combined to create a suit of Armor fit for his knight.
He sat down as the exhaustion hit him from the use of so much magic to create the suit of magi-tech. Hadrian came running to help him back to his feet but he simply held out his hand and pointed to the suit of armor. “Go put it on, I can’t have my bodyguard and Knight without Armour after all.”
Hadrian simply nodded and walked to the suit of armor admiring it. After all even in the empire a suit of MKXII Armor was almost never made the way his Lord had. After all it was simply more efficient to use material already there than to transmute things like cloth, iron, and primitive steel into a suit of famous ulmish steel.

He linked his implants with the suits systems and it opened allowing him entrance into it’s bowles. He put his arms, then legs, and finally torso into the suit before ordering it closed as the hud and view of the outside world popped into his view.
He flexed his hands then moved his arms and moved his legs around a bit to make sure all the proper systems were in order and there wasn’t some system failure that would pop up in the middle of combat. Finally he connected his rifle and the suit systems unlocking the full capabilities of the weapon of war.
Watching a soldier from a much more advanced society getting back used to his standard armor is more than a little weird. Of course I was a little paranoid that he would suddenly turn on me when he got the Armor, but I shouldn’t have because as soon as he was done looking himself over he walked over to me and helped me on my feet.
“My lord the Armor you have given me is of satisfactory quality. Though I have to say I'm impressed you came up with such an ingenious way of getting me my Armor so I could better protect you.” I simply chuckled and gestured for us to continue on our way.
-----
As we drove into LA I told him to turn on his suits' stealth systems which he did without complaint.
As we drove to the airport the next part of my plan slipped into my mind. After all phase two should be the easiest part so far. All we had to do was get on the next flight to japan and get to tokyo.
Of course if it was that easy then I wouldn’t have been chosen at all. It turns out that they had gotten my finger tips from a smudge on the counter from when I leaned on it to give the code word. So my face was plastered around the net thus there was no way I was getting a ticket now.

You may be wondering just how they knew that it was my fingertips? Well lets just say teens and drunk driving near a speed trap don’t mix well for the teens. So while I was thinking of ways to get to japan Hadrian gave his idea.
“Why don’t you simply teleport us to this japan my lord?” Lets just say I was a little embarrassed for not thinking about that. So I drove to the more rundown part of the city and spread out my magic to short circuit any security cameras in the area and started gathering my magic that I wasn’t using to block surveillance of us.
And I Envisioned the pictures I had seen of japan and with a firm grip of Hadrian simply let go of the area we were in. Then I doubled over throwing up as the magical backlash hits me from teleporting across the surface of the planet with no former training or experience doing anything of the sort.
Well at least I know not to do that anymore without some kind of training. As I get done with my dry heaving I look around and sigh in relief that I had at the very least got us here. I took a quick second to make sure the dry heaving was over, and had Hadrian help me move so we could get out of the area.
For the next thirty minutes we walked in silence as the sound of the city in the distance got closer and I felt relief flood through me as I recognized that I really did teleport us to the right place.
Getting out of his grip I told him to once again turn on his stealth systems. I quickly used a simple translation spell on myself so I could talk to the locals and figure out where the GATE itself was and sneak through.
---
After walking into the city at a swift pace I quickly found someone who looked to not be in a rush and walked up to him. “Hello good sir would you mind if I could ask you for some directions?” He looked slightly surprised that I to him at least, spoke Japanese. “Sure where are you going?”
“I was wondering if you told me where the GATE was?” He winced for a second before responding. “WHy do you need to know?” I quickly thought up a bluff before responding. “I want to pay my respects to the officers and civilians that died from the attack.”
He nodded and gave me the directions and with a smile and a thanks I left him behind As I walked towards the gate with dreams of conquest and Empire Building on my mind.

I feel this one is slightly better than chapter four was but you can be the judge of that. Thank you for reading my writing I really appreciate it.

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.

Contact First
2039 - Earth A narrow beam energy signal appeared aimed squarely at earth from the TRAPPIST system. The communication consisted of a layered set of repeating data over several thousand wavelengths. Over the next few months scientists discovered that the lower wavelengths carried an encoded numerical language which could then be used to interpret the more complicated messages carried on the higher wavelengths. After half a year of painstaking work the signal was fully decoded. It described a small satellite launched along a precise trajectory towards the fourth planet of our solar system. Included was a package of advanced research that humanity would need to have ready in order to receive the satellite and decelerate it safely. The alien data provided the kick that humanity needed to turn from petty squabbling and unite to explore the final frontier. Major government and corporate leaders worked together to create the framework for the United Federation of Sol. UFS spaceports went from scaffolding to daily launches in every major city around the globe. Ships floated like dandelion seeds, spreading on solar wind to grow into colonies. 2397 - Mars orbit, Egeria Station The command center was a hive of activity as checks were conducted and systems initialized. Scientists flitted by like mayflies as communicators beeped and holoscreens spat out green tinted readouts. Nervous energy was thick in the air as everyone anticipated the culmination of over three hundred years of work. Massive fusion reactors under the planet's surface thrummed with barely restrained power as energy fed into a gleaming metallic maze criss crossing the planet. Metal fingers reached up, overshadowing the mighty olympus mons and trying to grab the stars. All over the solar system, people quickly turned to look as gigantic energy lances shot from the dusty fourth planet. Two years later. The same people that clapped loudly at the successful activation of project Hermes now wait with baited breath. A silver capsule trailing bright photonic sails is captured by a net of grav beams and guided with care bordering on reverence into the station. Holoscreens across the headquarters project an image of the sleek craft settling in the bay. Data connections are established and the holoscreens blink to white. Slowly an image forms on the screen. Across the headquarters people stare in wonder as a wholly alien face stares back. "Contact established. Welcome to the universe."
