Ice fairy’s Pov

In the Yeti headquarters

“Now, Ice fairy… You want to flee from this place?”

Her eyes look up from the hairy creature and focus me.

I know she wants to lift my mood by distracting me and she manages it to a certain degree but every time she looks in my direction, I want to scratch her perfect brown eyes out. My fingernails want to deepen into her beauty and my teeth want to skin these ridiculous freckles from her face.

I swallow it. It’s better to have a friend in prison than an enemy.

I look away so I don't have to see her grinning features.

"Sure... A life as mother is nothing for me. I mean who would look after my children while I hunt men? And what would be the reaction of the fat ape."

I hold back the commentary and say instead

Before she can react to my commentary I say:

It has big drills to reach through the ice...My money is on the Methane gas in the ice, but this shouldn't be nearly enough.

She goes to the crib of her son and takes a little animal (as big as myself) out.

It looks like a chimera of a fish and a human. The body is identical to a trout which has the hands, legs and the face of a human.

The abomination begins to sing

The bearded baby begins to protest when the fish is taken from his crib but the mother calms him by petting him.

"What are you doing?"

She uses the gun like contraption and fumbles with it at the back of the half fish. Some red stains the ice and the song becomes louder until it quiets a little bit again.

The wound on the fish is patched up with the help of the first aid kid. She comes to my cage. The weapon points into the air. I can imagine what it is.
