When the previous host tried the crystal, which helps one to seek if one has spirit affinity and which elemental affinity he has, the result made him very excited at first because he had spirit affinity! But when found he had Nil Affinity he was broken.

But what was Nil Affinity? When a person has no specific elemental affinity like Fire Element Affinity or Water Element Affinity it is called Nil Affinity. Nil Affinity can help a user learn any type of Magic Rune but the price for this was he would have to give up a specific element affinity. It was same as the jack of all trade but king of none.

Comparing one with Specific Element Affinity with Nil Affinity, one with Specific Element Affinity would learn the Magic Rune of the Specific Element faster than the Nil Affinity one. Before the one with Nil Affinity could learn any simple Magic Rune, the one with Specific Element Affinity would have mastered five or six Magic runes of the Specific Element.

Element Affinity helps the user create the Magic Rune in one’s consciousness. If the one with Specific Element Affinity is learning Magic Rune best for him or of different element its all up to the user. He will live if he is powerful and die if he is weak.

What does more Magic Rune signify? Increase in combat ability of wizard and ability to react in different precarious situations.

No matter what, even if this world was unjust and selfish but the one with Nil Affinity still have to give his best or he would die a cruel death. But the most important question, where do all these Magic Runes, Knowledge about magic and these resources like Crystal with helps one check one’s affinity comes from?

The answer is very simple, a dungeon or a portal connected to a large underground system with thousand times larger than the current world he was currently in. Basically, no one can explore the whole thing in one day but similarly, the resources found in this place doesn’t have any limit.

If you dare, go inside and play hide and seek with monsters and you can gain as many resources and knowledge about magical resources you want!

But it did not end… Actually, the humans were not alone, when exploring the portal, they came in contact with other self-conscious species which were similar to the human being, not in appearance but the way they addressed themselves.

Once a lifeform of another plane appeared in the Human World. At first, it was friendly on the surface but it quietly collected the coordinates of the Human Plane and sent them to its home planet and what followed it was a planar invasion from another strong and self-conscious species.

As the history goes the Human Plane learned its lesson with greater pain with made it weep for more than a century but similarly, it was the start of the planar invasion! There were no more invasions on the Human Plane but human wizard families and organizations started exploring the portal thoroughly to find out more coordinates of different planes.

At the end of the day, the portal was not the only place which produced resources, planes did it too! Moreover, the planar invasion was more like raiding a dragon’s den, wherever the vision goes was a treasure in its own. After all, anything that couldn’t be found in the Human Plane was a treasure, even the population of different lifeforms was a unique treasure if used correctly.

People would do anything to gain power, after all, gaining power was just the first step to success! Just like previous Green’s friend Delta who poisoned him to death to gain money to buy Magic Rune Scroll.

Magic Rune Scrolls were all one-time-use thing made by wizards of the same level. But these kinds of scrolls were the cheapest one could find which would disappear after one learns the Magic Rune. After learning these scrolls, the only thing mattered was creating the specific Magic Rune Model in one’s consciousness to perform the respective Model Spell.

Delta took his money away after poisoning him, but what he didn’t know was the one whom he poisoned was still alive. Green slapped Delta and all rubbish thoughts away and started planning what to do.

Green ate all the food that was left, after all not all the food was poisoned. Wearing a robe with a hood covering his head, he walked out silently out of the hut made of rough lumbers after starting a fire in it. Gradually the fire covered the whole hut made of lumbers.

Green started the fire because he wouldn’t be able to come back and this place was in a remote area so no one would find out anything abnormal.

Before Green went out of the hut, he tried to use all applications that were on the smartphone. All applications on the smartphone gave him a surprise leaving out a single application which he had the highest expectation on, that application didn’t open leaving a prompt message;

[This application cannot be opened due to unknown energy obstruction… Closing application; Time]

He didn’t know what this unknown energy was and he could only deduce that this application was overpowered.

The hut was built a little far away from Port City where the portal was located. As the only place where portal could be accessed was Port City, consequently this city had greater hustle and bustle. Many people travelled in and out of the city every day.

With the little money they had, they had to spend the night out of the city walls. Everyone knew that Port City was just the starting point of their journey.

But the most important question, why do Green have to walk on such a dangerous path? Why does he have to become stronger?

When he read those rumour-like stories of invasion of other planer lifeforms, Green knew that there was no way any story who spread to such an extent to even stop a baby from crying just a made up one for time pass. If magic exists in this world that means anything can happen!

If such an invasion happened again then what? It was better than doing nothing. Not to mention there was Delta who did not know that he was alive. Anyway, he didn’t have any rabbit teeth mother in this world to dote on him…
