CHAPTER 6: ROYAL ACADEMY
Hearing that his son wanted to go school, Chen Wang was surprised.
“Why do you want to go school, I remember you have learnt all the characters of our continental language , and many adults are far more inferior to you in terms of knowledge. It would be just a waste of your time to school. It would be better if you spend some time on the history and geography of our country.”
“I’ve already memorised that.”
“Then about the surrounding countries.”
“I’ve also learnt them.”
“What about the Culture and history of our continent, the “Fire Phoenix Continent.”
“I’ve also learnt about them whatever was written in the books.”
Hearing his son’s replies he was stunned. One had to know the total no. of books in the library was about 1 million. But this child said that, he had memorized them all. How could it be possible for a one year old child?
After some thought he thought, that his son was deceiving him. He knew that this was an unbelievable idea because he knew, his son was very honest and never lied to him ever.
Chen Wang decided to check the truthiness of his son’s words. “So you learned them all by heart, and then tell me how many countries are there in our continent.”
“There are 4 major countries, 58 intermediate countries and 440 minor countries. That is a total of 502 countries.”
“How many alchemists are there in our continent?”
“1 level-4 alchemist, 6 level- 3 alchemists and 20 level -2 alchemists and 80 level-1 alchemists. If also count apprentice alchemists it would be a total 0f 301.”
“What is …..”
…………
After a series of questions, Chen Wang came to a understanding that his some has really learnt all the books of the library, otherwise it won’t be easy to answer all the questions without a moment of thinking.

“Okay then, I believes you learnt all in the library. So, what do you want to go school for? Since you already have all the knowledge available in the royal library.” Although he said this he was deeply shocked. His son didn’t have nothing left to learn in this country what should he make him do then? Will he have to send his son to Clear Sky Sect earlier than the expected time?
“Father, I want to go school because of my friends are there. They will start going to school from tomorrow, but I will have to just stay in home, what I’m supposed to do here?”
As Chen Zheng said this, Chen Wang was now really tensed. He guessed he has no choice but to send him school, till he arrange for his son’s trip to Clear Sky Sect.
“Okay. You can go to school.” Chen Wang left the room as he said this somewhat tiringly. He was really tired. Now he has to arrange everything before the schedule.
……………..
After acquiring permission from his dad he was really happy. He told his father reason for him going to school was boredom, but he lied. He has a high level cultivation technique, which he can practice in home till he completed the first level but, he wanted to play with her little gorgeous friend Jian’er. He missed her so much today; he was very worried, how would be his life without her?
He didn’t cultivate today. Maybe it was because of nervousness of going to new place or excitement to meet Jian’er again but he didn’t meditate.
………………
It was morning now.
Chen Zheng woke up. Today was the day he will be going to school. He prepared his clothes specially for today. After wearing his clothes he shouted to outside, “Uncle Nian, please prepare the carriage otherwise we will be late for school.”

“Okay, young master.”
After the carriage was ready, Chen Zheng went to the school with Uncle Nian.
When he reached at the front gate of school, he saw a huge name plate, written on it with Big golden Strokes,” Royal Academy”. Yes, this was the academy where all the children of main families of capital came to study.
The building was 3 stories high but it was spread to but 2 to 3 thousand square metres. Surrounding it was a large garden spread across 6 sq. kilometres. The garden has a large pond, were fishes could be occasionally seen jumping in and out of water surface. On the top of the school building one could see peacocks standing on it. It was a really wonderful sight to behold.
Chen Zheng went out of carriage and stood before the gate. He didn’t know where to attend the class or where he had to go. Suddenly someone called him from behind. “Chen Zheng, you came quickly then me.”
On turning around he saw, Jian’er was running toward him with her muddled running.
“Good morning, Jian’er.” , said Chen Zheng.
“I’m very happy, that I can go to school with you. Don’t worry If you don’t understand anything just come and ask Me.”, told Jian’er seriously.
Chen Zheng thought, ‘These words of yours are very amusing. You will be the one to ask me about these,’ of course he won’t tell Jian’er this, as he doesn’t want to see her cry at all.
Seeing that Chen Zheng was alone, she asked, “Did you come alone?”
“Not at all, Uncle Nian came to drop me.”
“Silly, I wasn’t talking about that. I was talking how will you get admission if your parents didn’t came?” , asked Jian’er while shaking her head and putting her hands on the waist. This was a beautiful sight in the eyes of Chen Zheng.
“Is there such a rule?”
Although he was from Royal family but due to his ‘seclusion’ he wasn’t able to meet with too many people and know about these rules.
“Don’t worry. I’ll be admitted for sure.” said Chen Zheng with an unwavering confidence.
“Why did you say that?” asked Jian’er as confusion appeared in her eyes.
“You will know.”

8 79Dark Lands: The Exile and the Prince
A short time has passed since the siege on Ruined Home has been lifted and as the survivors of the battered encampment slowly begin to rebuild their new home, Aurelius has returned from a failed troll hunt. Yet despite the battered prince’s failures, he has set into motion a series of events that will forever change his life. Meanwhile, Iskra has found herself at the helm of a far more favorable position and begins to forge a path that will lead her towards the first steps of a long road of revenge. Author’s Note: This is the direct sequel to the first Dark Lands story and as time goes on I will update the synopsis to help bring further detail about the story. For now however, I hope you all enjoy what is about to be written. Eight Years Arc: Eight Years have passed since Aurelius and Iskra have first met one another, and a lot has changed since then. The vast majority of Aurelius’ family has been slaughtered by the hands of none other than his oldest brother, a man that the golden haired prince had spent the past several years to hunt down and kill all in the name of vengeance. Upon his return, the kin-slaying prince has found that some things have changed during his absence. Iskra, his first wife and love of his life, has proclaimed that she no longer cares about the events that have been unfolding in her former homeland for the last several years and states that she is solely focused on raising her children. Yet it is through learning that the High Elves have taken a keen interest in the once magically-absent lands of Ranislava that Aurelius decides that action must be taken and thus he journeys south to learn more about what his distant kin are up to in such a backwater region of the world. Who he will meet and what he will do will turn the tides of fate, but in whose favor is something that only the Gods will know. (The Eight Years arc is something that was designed to be written in a way where people don't have to feel the need to go back to the very beginning of the Dark Lands story in order to know what is going on or who the characters are.)
