《The Corrupted Archer System》Level Up!

He reappeared on the same spot he had been teleported away from. Sand littered every part of his body, the cold air felt refreshing as it cloaked him. His lung sucked in air, he sat down completely exhausted. He wanted to sleep but he was incredibly thirsty, and that sense of thirst stopped him from falling asleep.
After evading death for an hour and ten minutes, he'd gained 9 stamina and 8 speed. He wouldn't do that again, willingly.
Shadow was still sleeping peacefully. He snored quite loudly.
There was a well in the middle of the town. It was a simple construction. Small cut stones made square and in the middle there was a bucket with rope.
The bucket had never been heavier, moving figures appeared in his sight as he strained himself. He almost passed out when he dragged it up.
He took the bucket and drank all the water inside it in one gulp. WIth his sense of thirst satisfied he stumbled his way back to the barn. He sat down beside Shadow and fell asleep the instant he closed his eyes.
He woke up to Shadow biting down on his nose, he reflexively scratched Shadow's ear which made him let go. His stomach rumbled, last night's run had starved him. He stood up to buy food but realized that his foot was practically burned. He really needed a new shoe.
He had to stumble his way to the adventure guild. It wasn't completely empty, there was a few adventurers looking at the quest board. He didn't recognize any of the adventures, which was strange. Luckily, the old man was there, sipping on his drink.
"Hey Old man. I need healing."
"Show me where"
"Right here." He brought up his foot.
"How… You don't seem to like that foot."

"Yeah, hahaha! It's taken quite a beating."
The old man brought his hand to the wound, chanted what sounded like gibberish to Arne, and suddenly his wound healed. Arne felt his hunger growing, signing up as an adventurer had to wait, he went out and hunted slime.
Suddenly, a painfully familiar voice called out to him.
"Look at who it is, I haven't seen you in a while huh?" It was his bully Jake.
Jake had a shaved head, a big forehead and hungry eyes. He had a large black eye and his lips were busted. It seemed that his father had given him a beating again. Around him stood 2 other boys, they were a year younger then him.
"It's the archer." One of the smaller boys said, and they burst into laughter. All of them wielded swords and aspired to become soldiers after their fathers.
They walked away laughing. Arne ignored them and continued out to the forest.
He spotted four slimes rolling into each other. It was big prey. Arne wasn't sure if he could handle it, he felt a shiver run down his spine. He decided to go for it. He crouched down and snook through the bushes.
"+1 Stealth"
He paused when he saw that. There was no stealth metric in his status, actually, he there was no pain resistance either. Was there hidden stats he could improve? He double checked.
"Status,'' he said .

It was as he thought. He could improve in more than the five ways. He was also curious what happened when he reached lvl 2.
He continued sneaking up on the unaware slimes. The slimes felt slower than before, they jumped and rolled slower, and the stone inside them shone clearly. 'Had it always been like this?' Arne thought.

He put Shadow down and Shadow instantly bit into his toe, almost ritually. He brought his bow up, took an arrow out of his quiver, pulled it back, took aim, and released the shot. Bullseye!
"Bow mastery 4.9/1000"
It hit one of the slimes through their slime core. He picked up Shadow and started sprinting, like he'd always done, but before he knew it he was far away from the slimes. Had the slimes always been so slow? Or was it only these four.
He came back, and shot again. Another hit! He had never hit his shots two times in a row, he had gotten really lucky. "Yes!" He chanted, as he picked up Shadow. The slimes started chasing after him, he sprinted away and once again he had gotten really far away.
"Bow mastery 5.8/1000"
He returned and shot again, he missed. He missed a couple more shots before he hit again. For the last slime he threw Shadow in.
Shadow had to get combat experience, and from the looks of it he had gotten it. Shadow had figured out the slimes weakness and directed his bites towards the slime core.
Arne picked up all the slime cores and continued searching for more slimes. These ones had been really easy.
It was a windy day. The trees rustled and swayed, the birds twittered loudly in simple melodies. The scene was filled with bright colours, the sun shine felt warm and the wind felt pleasant.
He found more slimes, this time they were only three. Arne killed one of them, and then let Shadow kill the last two. He beat them all alone. Then, Arne saw a message he had never seen before.
"Level up! Skillpoint gained."

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him. Follow the story of the Chosen ordained by the Goddess of Time as he returns to the past to right his wrongs and set things back straight again!
