Darcel Lahaska is now trying to get her life back. With the help of Leos, his secretary Inès, and his group of white hat hackers, the black-haired teen has made sure that she redeemed herself as best as she could after she almost destroyed the president's life and even attempt to murder other people and create an army of mindless zombies. Can she be blamed for all of it? She sometimes thinks so but the president and the white hat hackers have assured her that it was because the Pentagon of Manipulation took her hatred over her family and the frustration of her sister's death and manipulated her mind to have nothing but revenge on the person that could've in her mind prevented it from happening but couldn't. With now evidence that her sister died a heroic death, she has moved on and is now an anti-virus for Omega Corp.

"Mrs. Lahaska." That was the voice of the blonde-haired bespectacled secretary. She has been the one who has assigned every mission that she has gotten. Black Hat Hackers have been attacking all the Sectors in Omega especially new ones that have been in development. She didn't even know they even existed but there they were. Ancient Rome, New York, She also saw one with an active volcano she assumed this is based on the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii. There was this one time she used a submarine to...

"Inès."

"We have found a bug on Sector RX0920." RX0920, that was if she remembered The one with the Cave of Division. She wonders if these are going to be stages that will be active during the new update along with the new story that is planned before the end of Summer. That place was big it was going to take hours to make a search and find this bug.

"I see." The bespectacled secretary noticed her voice.

"Is something wrong?"

"Huh? No! Is just...There are so many bugs and not to mention the map is big."

"I see...You do not have to worry about it." Huh?

"What do you mean?"

"It will take hours to find this bug alone and it's necessary that this bug must be taken care of before 4:00 P.M. Today." 4:00 PM But that...!

"That's in three hours?!"

"Which is why you will be in a group with 5 other members." 5?

"5? Um, I guess that's okay, but I'm kind of..." She is still not used to fighting in a group, the last time she did was with Team Omega during one of the black hat hacker's attacks who turned out to be the president of Velocity.

"Do not worry you will be familiar with two of the members." Familiar with 2 members? Is she going to work with Richard or any of Team Omega members? Or maybe that Jeremiah kid. She, however, did not expect these two.

"Hmm? Oh, Hello you are Darcel Lahaska, correct? I am Barry Strom I hope that we get along well." Told the tall muscular male who Lahaska knew very well so was the man beside him. The Other two not so much.

"My name is Alan Bouvier I'm a sniper so if you need someone with long-range attacks look no further." The Pentagon of Manipulation must have also altered his personality because he was sure as hell didn't act this arrogant.

"Ignore the arrogant fool. I am Lina Melis, I will be your support for today and hopefully for future missions." Very cheerful for someone older than her. Light blonde hair and light blue eyes. She seems like a model too, the way she is dressed (black sleeveless shirt, short gray skirt and black boots with large socks to match, along with a platinum cross necklace) plus it seems friendly unlike the one beside her who was a male. He seems...not very please of being here. His black shirt with a black bloody heart was very ominous to her while his black jeans had rusty like chains around his pockets. His shoes were as dark as his shirt with neon blue lines on the sides.

"Um, hi." Darcel started the conversation. The man look at her frowned and then looked away. Well, that was kind of rude.

"Oh don't mind him, I'll speak with him for you if you like," Melis told the black-haired teen. The blonde Lithuanian went on and...didn't speak, just took a small notebook from her purse and started writing on it. She then showed it to the boy. The brown-haired with almost an emo hairstyle boy looks at her with his dark red eyes and rose an eyebrow before he took the notebook and pen and wrote back. Melis looked at it and sighed before writing back at him. This conversation went on for minutes before she came back to Lahaska.

"Well..."

"Noah wrote that he will not respect you as a leader but that he will not let that distract him from fulfilling this mission. He respects the president but he doesn't respect the decision of you being assigned leader of this operation."

"Oh..." Melis noticed the black-haired girl's expression.

"Oh! Don't get it wrong! He might not like you but I am excited to have another girl as a partner and I heard you were really strong. I also heard you fought side by side with last year's champion Richard Kurosagi. I won't lie to you but I feel a little jealous."

"I...I just wanted to make up for something that I did to him. I am sure that you will fight alongside him one day."

"Doubt it. But, if you say so, I will be looking forward to that day." She must be a fan of the brown-haired boy. Well, being a world champion can get you fans that you are okay with it...or people who are obsessed with you.

Door sliding out came the magenta-haired young adult and their superior Viper.

"Viper is the preparation ready?"

"Yes, Miss Inès. Sector RX0920 has been scanned and we have found a safe place to send the group." The bespectacled secretary nodded in acknowledgment.

"You will be lead by Lahaska, she has been in this sector before so she will guide you through the map."

"Yes, Ma'am." The group said before walking inside the teleporter room. Lahaska wonders if the war between them against the black hat hackers will ever end.

Landing on Sector RX0920 The group looks around the very foggy area.

"Where are we?" Barry asked.

"Outside, we're near the bridge to the entrance to The Cave of Division, looks like the safe area Viper was speaking was here," Lahaska told Barry. This feels like her time in the tournament, the only difference is that he is not controlled by a fragment of the Pentagon of Manipulation. It feels...different.

"Can everyone hear me." Viper spoke through her intercom.

"Yes, loud and clear Viper."

"Good, the bug has infected the inside of the Cave of Division. It is most likely that it has evolved into a living being. What it is, is up to you to inform us."

"Got it." She looks to her teammates. Alan and Barry were the same as they were when she fought alongside them. Her two new teammates: the light blonde-haired girl had a sword and a round shield. The sword was very thin but with a tint of gold on the sides of its shiny silver sight. The hilt was black with a few strings of ropes attached to it. The round shield a bit dusty but sturdy and it had a bronze color. Her attire a brown fur mantle, a red shirt that has been tattered as if the girl has had very thought battles and brown pants. She has leather brown gloves with boots with gray fur on the top of said black boots. It reminded Darcel of a Viking warrior, she probably is it won't surprise her in the bit as some of them were Sweden. The boy Noah has a black with neon blue USFA ZIP .22 LR pistol along with a gray PHASR Rifle with a rectangular zoom lens that has an infrared target dot. He is dressed in a black cold gear along with a face mask that covers only his mouth. Darcel can see his slim body with small muscles on his arms. The boy looks at her and gives her an annoyed face before he signals her to lead. Was she distracted by the boy?! Right! The mission!

"Ah right! Stay with me, the bridge is up ahead." So she guided the group. Is strange, this is her group...Not a permanent one but a group that nonetheless she is leading. It felt like back then...back.

"Hey Miss Lahaska, are you alright?"

"Eh?" She must have been distracted because they already have past the bridge and were at the entrance of the cave.

"Oh yes! Let see, Hmm let's stick together for now. I think we should go right first, that's where the minerals are mostly produced and therefore where more bytes are stored. It should be commonplace for a bug to start absorbing and storing energy." Explained the black-haired teenager.

"Alright. I guess we should get ready for any possibility of a battle. We should start with the position. I as you can see I am a sniper class." Barry said holding his plasma rifle high. Lahaska knew what the orc player had after all she...Noah just drew an M in front of them. Oh, so he was a Magician? She would think he would be a sniper because of him wielding dual guns. I guess weapons can be deceiving sometimes.

"I may not look like it but I am a powerhouse," Alan said with a scythe in hand twirling it with style.

"What about you Melis?" Asked her black-haired partner.

"Oh, I am a supporter. I just prefer to have a shield and a sword to defend myself and everyone else! By shouting in your direction I can buff any of your attributes depending on the color of my shout! Red is for the attack, blue defense, yellow speed, and green health." So she is a healer, those are very rare probably because the format is more aggressive this year that not too many people survive to get healed by their supporter. However, in this situation, it might be the most OP ability in the game. Now that they know which class they are it will be a bit easier to know how to fight against this bug who invaded this new sector.

"Huh? What about me? Well, by default I am a scouter." A scouter will explain why she would be their leader. The journey through the cave going good...maybe too good to their liking.

"This is suspicious." Said Barry acknowledging the situation was far too peaceful for a bug to not have already made its move.

"I know it feels like we could trigger a trap at any moment." Melis looks to their leader. "Lahaska, did you sense anything?" The black-haired responded by shaking her head.

"No, I don't sense anything." Lahaska was also getting suspicious of this. There have been times where she could sense the bug slightly. Her ability to sense them had increased since the day Team Omega and herself worked together to stop one of the many bugs that Boulenvard sent to invade Omega.

('You're weak.') What?

"Hey, Darcel." She quickly turns around to see Barry holding her shoulder.

"Huh?"

"What do you think you're doing Lahaska?!" Why is Melis upset about her? Huh? Noah with a frown signal, down? She looks to see that she was just a few steps away from falling to the abyss below. What? Why was she almost on the edge of a cliff?!

"Miss Lahaska, I know the pressure of leading us is getting to you but there is no need for you to leave the game "that" way."

"Huh? No! I wasn't..." What is wrong with her? She heard a familiar voice...a voice she never in her life wanted to hear ever again. But it was destroyed and she threw it in the lake never to be seen nor found again! Why did she hear his voice!!!!?

('Useless Host.') There it is again! She is not going crazy, is she? Before she can study her very own sanity, her senses picked up a small source. It was faint but there.

"Guys, I sense something! A bit to the east!" Lahaska said.

"Can you give more specific coordinates?" Asked Viper. She saw the dot moving toward the cliff which she presumed was Lahaska. Thankfully, another dot was able to stop it before it went further on the edge.

"Hmm, about 40 steps...is...getting closer." Viper checked on her computer the coordinates and found that indeed there was some sort of dot approaching and whatever it was...it was getting closer and bigger.

"Watch out, something is coming your way and is expanding by the minute." Expanding? In any case, the group got ready to fight.

"Where is it?" Alan asked even thou no one knew the answer. Lahaska concentrated and she quickly sensed that it was coming from...

"ABOVE!" The group looks up to see a giant fusion of a Jellyfish and a Manta Ray. It had many stingrays like tentacles and very transparent colors. It made a sound that it could give shivers to the spines of children. It slowly descended before it extended its many stingrays and launched them at the group. The group just cut them out separating the sharped spade-shaped stingers from the Manta like Jellyfish's body. That proved to be a mistake as those turned into small jellyfishes.

"You got to be kidding me!" Alan said as he dismantles one of them to see that it double its quantity. Barry Rifles one of them with an overcharge shot obliterating it to ashes.

"Looks like they are weak to lasers."

"So you're saying that most of us can't even damage this...thing?!" Melis said as she swatted away one of the Jellyfish with her shield. Noah shot with his only energy weapon the PHASR Rifle and the result was what Barry stated, no more Jellyfish. Lahaska was more focused on the main bug. If what he said is true then the Manta might be also weak to it! Dodging Sting after sting with her scouter speed, the black-haired teen avoided every attack resulting in either stalagmite being cut in half or chunk of solid rocky ground flying everywhere.

"Core Shift: Sniper!" Replacing her sword with her trusty arm-cannon, Lahaska aimed at the Manta-Jellyfish but to her surprise, the thing despite being massive could move very fast. Noah seeing this decided to help her out.

"Melis! Use your shout to up their speed!" Barry told the blonde-haired Swedish.

"Don't have to tell me twice!" Melis take a deep breath before she shouted as high as she could. A voice wave colored yellow went straight to the two teens and their speed increased by 2.5 times their normal speed.

With their new speed, both Noah and Lahaska worked together in order to defeat this bug.

"Where is it?" Lahaska told herself as she tries to find where the bug could be residing. It could be anywhere and the transparency of the creature didn't help since the bug most likely is camouflage into its body. Noah just glared at the Jellyfish before shooting it in where the eye will be. It seems to have some sort of effect as it made a loud noise that shook the surrounding. The result was a bunch of stalagmites falling. The group moved out of the way and some of the spiky rocks fell and impaled some of the small Jellyfishes that were battling them. Darcel noticed something. It was some sort of tadpole on the part where Noah shot scurrying back inside the Manta-Jellyfish.

"There it is!!" Yelled the black-haired teen as she aims with her arm-cannon and shot in that direction. It hit its mark. However, it seemed that despite destroying the tadpole the Manta-Jellyfish was still alive. Noah landed next to her.

"Huh?" She looks and sees him signaling to himself. Hmm...Was he trying to tell her to explain to him why she shot the same targeted place?

"You are asking why I shot there?" Noah nodded.

"Well, I saw a Tadpole there. I thought it was the bug. It might have been but I get the feeling that it is not the only one inside that thing." Noah looks at the bug. It seems to have decreased in size meaning that it must've gone weaker once Lahaska destroyed that supposed tadpole she saw. If that's the case then there should be one on the other side where the other supposed eye is. But there might be more...Hmm, there could be more where the gills are...Maybe. Noah signals to him again and then points the gun at the creature and then signals to her arm-cannon.

"You want to shoot and want me to see if there's tadpole where you target?" He nodded. That's sounded like a good plan. That thing might regenerate fast enough that she wouldn't have another shot at it because she has to recharge every shot.

"Alright. Barry, Alan I need you to give us cover! Melis, Noah, and I will need your support with power. We need it in order to target very powerful spots."

"You found the weakness!?" Barry said impressed by those two.

"Yes, it seems tadpoles are the bugs we're are looking for if Noah can manage to shoot the places where it will expose them I can line a shot that will destroy it."

"How does he know if there is the correct one?" Alan asked a bit skeptical of this plan.

"I trust him. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't find out." Barry thinks about it before nodding.

"Alright, we'll distract it long enough for you guys to hurt it. Lahaska, make sure this thing dissolves into nothing." The black-haired teen leader nodded. Barry chuckled.

"For some reason, I feel like we have done this before." That's probably because you have. Both of them. They fought alongside her but for a different purpose.

('Revenge.') No! She is no longer driven by such a thing! She now has one mission and that is to help the man that gave her sister a purpose in life. And now with a team, she can do that, and who knows maybe next year this group might go to tournaments and even represent France in the Omega World Tournament. Unknown to them there were two shadows up in darkest on the ceiling looking at a specific black-haired teenage girl.

"Get ready! Let's Go, guys!"

"Right!" With the plan in motion, Barry and Alan went their separate way from the other three. The bug focused on Lahaska, Noah, and Melis before it hears a whistle before turning toward Barry and Alan.

"Hey Ugly, Over here!" Alan told the bug before Barry shot it on the body several times. This cause the distraction needed as it now focused on the two Omega warriors. The Manta-Jellyfish bug attacked them giving the distraction that the others needed. With a Shout, the two other teens had a red aura surrounding them meaning they got an attack boost. Using their boosts (both speed and attack) Noah and Lahaska went and target the other place where the eye was and the result was the same. Noah exposed the hole that the tadpole resided and Lahaska took it out. The gills were next, trying to push them out of the way the bug desperately tried to swat them away but because of Melis Speed shout, they could easily dodge them before being a position where they could aim at the gills well. Exposing the weakness Lahaska aimed at the tadpole before once again a familiar voice interrupted her aim.

('You don't need them.')

"Shut up!" Distracted by it the girl got hit by one of the tentacles of the Manta-Jellyfish flying the black-haired girl into the solid rock wall.

"Lahaska!" The black-haired groaned before seeing the Manta-Jellyfish going after her. She was saved however by Alan and Barry.

"Are you alright Miss Lahaska."

"Yeah." Answered Darcel to Alan as she recovers. The Manta-Jellyfish split up into two forms one of a Manta and the other a Jellyfish.

"It could do that all this time?!" Barry said as Melis and Noah surrounded the Manta.

"Guys there is something that we can try."

"What is it, Lahaska?" She wanted to say to use their formation but...well they wouldn't remember it anyway because.

('They're Useless.') No, they are not!!!

"If we can make a triangle formation we might be able to use a unique attack."

"A what?"

"Do you trust me on this?!" They could tell the desperation in her voice. Something was definitely wrong with their leader. In fact, they might know what it is.

"Lahaska...Is this because of what happened a few months ago?" Barry asked. That caught the black-haired girl by surprised, How...?!

"How did you...?!"

"Miss Inès has told us about it. Huh? I never thought I will be snared by such a cute girl as yourself." Barry hit Alan in the head with the butt of the sniper before he spoke.

"We were told that you had a legendary piece that could control people so long as you had fragments remaining." So Inès told them.

"...Sorry...I just..."

"Is Okay, I understand. I would've done the same. I mean you must have had a thought time with that thing." She was...but mostly was because of her parents. Her life wasn't happiness, In a sense, if it wasn't for the Pentagon Of Manipulation, she wouldn't have known the truth and also she wouldn't have met Alice and everyone else. Still...she cannot forgive the legendary piece from using her weakness against her. Now, her parents fear her but her new family has come to accept her.

"..." Alan put a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, we are not mad that you didn't tell us. Fear is one thing all people have. We just need someone to help us out and fight it. So far you have been a great leader."

"You guys."

"We can keep having this quote on quote reunion talk all day but we have a bug to get rid of." He is right there are more important things right now. Wiping her tears she got in her position.

"Hey, I got a question."

"What?" Asked the black-haired teen to Alan.

"What was the name of our team?" Why would he...?

"Why?"

"Just curious." The name was kind of...

"It was...silly. I named it Team New Gen."

"Team New Gen...Hmm, I kind of like it." Alan said.

"Really?" That was not expected.

"It makes a bit of sense since we all are the next generation. The world is relying on us to move forward and keep the legacy of humanity alive. Though I wish that some of the people in the U.S. could listen." Listen? The US?

"Why?" Lahaska wants to know what he meant by this.

"We can discuss the problems that the U.S. has later, besides it is not our problem but the president's and the white house."

"You do have a point." Even if it's eating her to know what is happening in the country with the second biggest core player and O.A.S. In the world Barry is correct no time for thinking of something that the U.S. government can solve. They have their problems here in France.

As this was happening Noah and Melis were doing their best to take out the Manta.

"Is there a way so I can attack the weak spot?" Melis asked before Noah looks around before signaling to some of the stalagmites that dropped.

"That's convenient." It was. How in the world did it make some sort of arc ladder?! Nevertheless, the two teens dodged the stingray before Noah chanted something and shot two laser shots. As they hit their mark revealing the tadpole on the left gill the Manta screeched as a jolt of electricity stop it in its tracks and attack along with stopping the tadpole from escaping. The Sweden Viking took this opportunity to get into the stalagmite ladder before she was in a position to jump down and stab the tadpole. The Manta tries to shake her down but because of the paralysis it couldn't and with a twist of her sword she killed the tadpole and with it ended the Manta's life.

"That was a ride that I will not recommend anyone taking," Melis said with a giggle before she looks at the direction of Alan, Barry, and Lahaska. Before she took a step Noah stopped her.

"Noah!" He signals to their positioning.

"What about it?" He makes a sign that meant "Just observe". She did so.

The Jellyfish was almost at their position.

"Hey, you think this would work?" Alan asked Lahaska.

"Oh don't worry, we will blow this thing to ashes." Assured the black-haired girl.

"Ready?!" said the black-haired leader as the beast approached.

"YEAH!" Ready to attack...

"Now!"

"FORMATION: NEW FLASH & SIGMA!" They all yelled as their first formation deflected the attack back and stabbed the head of the Jellyfish revealing the tadpole. The second formation summons a meteorite crashing on top of the Jellyfish. Said Jellyfish tried to stop it but to no avail before this one started to dissolve along with the tadpole that resided on top of its head.

"Whoa." Melis could only say as the meteorite crashed and the only thing that left was a giant hole on the ground.

"Is over," Barry said looking at the result.

"Yeah."

('Not Yet.') Lahaska heard the voice before on the corner of her eye she saw something or someone. Who...

('Come.') Lahaska knew this voice. There was no way...She went after it without anyone but one person noticing.

"Hey, where did Lahaska go?" Asked the blonde-haired Swedish girl.

"Huh? That's strange...Where's that mute kid, too?" Where could they be?

Lahaska followed where the figure was going, she quickly core shifted back to her scouter form because the person was going way too fast. The person stopped right at a part of the cave where diamonds could be seen in fact, some stalagmites were made of the crystal expensive material. If she was a betting woman she will say that this is where miners excavate for the currency of this stage. If this were in the real world she can easily say that the man who owns this piece of the cave will easily be a billionaire.

"You followed me...I never thought you would...Not alone that is." Said the person in a young male voice.

"Who are you?" The person chuckles.

"Is understandable because of the voice but maybe if I turn you will quickly recognize." The person turns. It was a boy very younger than her. He seems to be 14 years of age dressed in a tattered brown coat and saggy black pants. His hair the same color as her black, green eyes and a very smooth face. While she does not recognize the boy she, however, recognize the one thing that she thought getting rid of forever.

"It can't be..." Now the fear was coming back to her. The thing she did before the Omega Representation Tournament, the things she did back then...The nightmares she had. Everything...was returning.

"You can't get rid of me that easily, Lahaska. You and I are one in the same."

"No...I am not!!"

"Deny it all you want. However, You are destined to fulfill my mission...our mission. It is not done, that man...needs to die."

"No, He does not!! I...I know the truth. No reason to go after him!"

"Is that what you think? Or is it what you're trying to tell yourself? Face it, deep inside you need me. This power, the power to use other people's minds to do your bidding. You always craved it, you still do."

"I don't!" The boy sighed.

"Such a naive human girl. You still don't know, do you? Do you think they'll accept you? After all, you are still technically my owner. You can get rid of me all you want but so long as a single piece of me remains...your mind and mine will always be linked together." Is that why she could hear his voice over her mind? He...He was inside her?!

"Have you realize it? Even though I am using this temporal body you a part of the original branch will always be the perfect match."

"Humph, already have." Before she could say anything a huge red wave hit the black-haired girl.

"Vermilion, I was trying to make friends with her." Said mockingly the boy to another one. This one older with an armor that came out of a first-person shooter famous on the XcubeX9 that was colored blue. The helmet covered the face of the assailant. In his hand he had a giant laser cannon that to a normal human will be impossible to lift.

"Sorry Esprit but I just wanted to make a dynamic entry!" Said the male-voiced helmet partner.

"I guess you're right, maybe we should give her a lesson to not ignore her destiny." The boy said.

Groaning the black-haired girl felt a bit of pain from the sneak attack before she reacted and blocked Esprit's sword. It was a bloody red Kopis with two cubes rotating in the center. Lahaska wasn't fighting at her best since her fear of knowing that the Pentagon Of Manipulation was still alive was registering her. Even more, he was on her mind like a parasite latched on her brain. Playing with her human psyche the Pentagon spoke.

('Are you afraid of me? You are very pathetic you know that. No wonder your parents never loved you.') Esprit used the speed better than any scouter to land hits on her. Lahaska tried her best to blocked them but a kick or two landed on her ribs and stomach. The stomach one send her flying to a wall creating a crater before Vermilion joined in and tried shooting her with his huge cannon. Lahaska gasped in fear knowing that if he is able to hit her and manage to take the safety lock-off then...

"*Static** Lahaska...Can...*Static* What is *Static*"

('We don't want anyone interfering with our little reunion, now do we, Sigma.') The way he is mocking the Sigma name...Why? She just wanted to help people. Why can't she get rid of this thing that has used her to do despicable things?! Fear, death, corruption...To say the few as she became the owner of this dark and vile legendary piece. The name Sigma might not be known in the real world but on the Dark Web it is a name that was praised and in some groups feared and deemed cursed. Now...The one that gave its name is once again terrorizing the world of Omega.

"Sayonara." Before the cannon could release the shot a laser was shot from the left hitting the arm of Vermilion. The impact changed the aiming and went up hitting the ceiling and creating a huge hole as the shot kept going to the foggy sky that was separated in two leaving only the bright sun shining to produce light inside the cave.

"Tch." Esprit glared toward the one responsible. Noah had a clear shot of him with his USFA ZIP .22 LR and Vermilion with his PHASR Rifle. He doesn't know who these two are but...he can assume they are enemies. Perhaps black hat hackers?

"Stay...away." Stay away?

"Oh, are you afraid that he will turn on you? Hmm, I wonder."

"No!!!" Esprit revealed the Pentagon of Manipulation ready to use its power on this new obstruction. Lahaska tried to stop him but he used his speed to punch her on her stomach. The punch was so hard that it might have gotten her internal injuries because she coughs blood.

"Be a good girl and stay put." Noah saw enough to pull the trigger on them. Esprit just deflected the bullets away with his Kopis while Vermilion dodged the lasers. Esprit then broke a fragment of the Pentagon of Manipulation...However, to his surprise and amusement, it did not enter the body of his target.

"This is interesting. I would've thought that you were all extinct since the 2022 Genocide that was encouraged by those people who thought that the stupid people from the news were saying they were a threat that is until two years later when someone else became the president and try to undo everything. How much of a mess that country is now....no calling it one country is not a thing that could be said. Two United States...How ridiculous is that." He must be talking about The Separation.
