《Omega A Legacy Reborn》Chapter 26: Ragnarok

With all that has been happening it was really hard for the president to keep track of the updates and bugs that all his groups including Team Omega have gathered. His Hexagon of Fate has had its little glows here and there but nothing that will jeopardize his fate or the fate of his children. Hmm, well there was that one time that one of his employees mistook his ranch sandwich with mayonnaise, boy that would have been a disaster considering he is not to keen on it.
"Hm?" He wonders, who could be calling? Oh! He remembers now! It was...
"Sir, aren't you going to answer?"
"Yes but, I really wanted to keep the suspense going." Inès sighed.
"Sir this is not a T.V. series or one of those animations you've been watching lately."
"Hey they're really good and what's wrong with making it look like a T.V. series?" The bespectacled secretary sighed. Sometimes her boss can be...after a few seconds he answered and a hologram of a person appears.
"Mr. Kishima good morning I apologize for interrupting any work that you had been doing during this time." Said the person.
"Oh, don't worry Mr. Chance..."
"Please we know each other for years is fine if you call me Troy."
"Alright guess the same goes for me as well." Troy nods in understanding before tapping a cigarette he was holding in his right hand and lighting it up. "So what does a private government detective wants from me."
"Just a few questions, nothing more." The black-haired detective simply said before smoking his cigarette.
"Sure, I don't mind."
"Very well, involving the incidents that have been happening lately have you or any of your employees happened to see anyone suspicious? Anyone that you haven't seen before?"
"Kind of a bargain you threw there Troy. Hmm, not that I know of. I don't know about my employees. Thou, I will question them later and contact you when I do if it puts you at ease." Answered Leos. Troy just nodded.
"Please do, now for my next question: From what I have been seeing there has been an incident not so long ago involving one of your tournaments if I recall several people were brainwashed so to speak. I have read the stories about the legendary pieces and these symptoms match that of the Pentagon of Manipulation. I apologize if I am entering uncharted waters but, If it is true, then do you think they are after something that you possess something like a legendary piece? I have investigated a similar case involving the production of fake pieces, so are you in possession of such?" Troy was a very smart person it was why he was one of the most reliable sources of information that the government has. Leos knew this and it is no surprise to him that the detective will bring this question out sooner or later.
"I can assure you. I do not possess a fake piece. Yes, you're correct about the incident happening because someone having the Pentagon of Manipulation but rest assured that the legendary piece will not bother anyone again."
"What makes you so sure?"
"Oh I know, trust me I witness its destruction."
"I see..."
"Troy, I will tell you this...If they're after me is not because of a legendary piece or a fake one. Is because of what Omega has done for this world. This is not only a game that people can have fun on. It is also the best way for national leaders to have a private conversation with each other without the risk of their lives being in danger. Just like you battle to solve the most impossible conspiracy mysteries and crimes, I have to battle with my team of white hats against the black hats that threaten my family and the people of the world. They all count on me." Inès admit it these words seems to be the true feelings of her boss. Hearing this had made even her inspired to work harder for the good of the people that play and interact in this game. Troy takes all of this in before puffing his smoke and then seemingly stomp on the cigarette he used.

"I cannot argue with a speech like that. Alright, Leos That will be all. Contact me again if any of your employees find something. It will help in speeding our work."
"Will do." Troy nodded before he bids farewell and hung up.
"Sir." Leos sighed.
"Just when we thought we had things under control." Said the president. "Oh well, how's Team Valid doing?"
"...They're doing fine sir. Anna Wayne has kept herself from using Catnip to fight the bugs easier. As for Ellis, Gregory, and Will they've improved since their first time." Inès explained to the president.
"I see. Bulldog has been very busy with them I presume." Leos looks at his legendary piece. What Troy said was ringing in his mind. Can someone with a fake piece be involved in all of these bugs? Its been a while since the last one existed...hmm, he wonders...
"Yes. Ellis seems to be very loyal to his instructions, so whenever she needs advice she goes to him first."
"Is that so!?" Leos chuckles. The bespectacled secretary raises an eyebrow at this.
"Is something wrong sir?"
"No is nothing. Anyway, Tell Bulldog to give them the rest of the day off. They deserve it for everything they have done up to this point." Told the president to his secretary who nodded in response before leaving. Leos check his legendary piece before pressing a button to show a screen. He starts touching it until he found what he was looking for.
"Fake Piece found. A piece similar to the folklore tales of The Legendary Pieces was found on Evo Labs today. Experts conclude that this was just a replica that seemingly looks like the actual one found by the scientists not so long ago. The name of the legendary piece that they found was named Estrella del Leopardo which is said that the owner will supposedly have the ability to slow time. Scientists will investigate further and will update the information." This was the news on October 24th, 2033 around three years ago to be precise. He clicks another page and shows another article.
"Unknown Phenomenon in XL45 Lab. Some employees of XL45 Lab sighted something flying on the roof of the building next door at 12:56 AM. they described it as a human-like being with wings. The most noticeable detail was the fact that something was glowing dark blue around the body of said being. No evidence was found thru investigation of the neighbor building. Updates on this news will be reported as soon as any evidence or other sightings are spotted." This documentation and others were on the president's personal computer. These were documentations about the fake pieces, replicas that were made by one of Androcles' Rivals. He was also involved in this as he this was a few years after having his legendary piece The Hexagon of Fate. These pieces were in a way dangerous to whoever held them as it drained the life force of the owner. Just like the legendary pieces, not anyone could hold them and only those that the fake pieces deemed worthy of its power were able to harness it. If what Troy said is true then...A war like the one that happened 6 years ago may repeat itself again.

Meanwhile, Somewhere in the streets of Paris, two people have blended in with the crowd.
"Did you found anything?" Asked Rusher.
"Yes, Ragnarok is being moved to a different location. If we move now we might be able to reach its destination." Kula answered.
"Very well," Rusher felt his legendary piece's warmth. Ever since he got closer to Paris the legendary piece has been glowing or sometimes burning. It's as if it was telling him about a legendary piece other than his and his companion's. He has a gutsy feeling of who it might be but he could be wrong.
"Rusher,"
"Let keep moving the more we do the lesser the chances of her finding us."
"....Right..."
Both members of LeGrace walk through the crowd of people without drawing attention. That is the last thing they want.
"Let go!"
"Wait up Rick!" These people can be noisy sometimes. However, Rusher felt his legendary piece vibrate before he crossed paths with the brown-haired teen who passed by with Frederick behind him.
"Rusher." That snapped the leader of LeGrace who looked at Kula.
"Did you felt it?" Asked Rusher and Kula nodded.
"Yes. That boy, the one with the brown hair. There's no doubt that the description matches. What an interesting turn of events, don't you think?" Kula answered. Rusher grinned. It was indeed a very interesting turn of events. These legendary pieces are the reason why Him and Kula met. Of course, her father was also involved in their first encounter. To find Richard Kurosagi...If it wasn't because they were running from that woman then he would test the boy to see if he can take real pressure in an actual fight instead of a virtual game.
()
As Richard passed by someone he felt his Legendary piece resonating as if it was warning him of something.
"Huh?" He looks around but sees nothing. Was the legendary piece just playing games with him?
"Finally you stopped," Frederick said catching his breath.
"Hey, Frederick. Don't you get the feeling that someone was just watching you?" The brown-haired leader of Omega asked his best friend.
"Er, no. Why?" Richard gets into deep thought before shrugging it off.
"Weird I mean, I know that dad said that when a legendary piece resonates it means that another one is nearby."
"Maybe is Aeris or Alice's I mean all three of your legendary pieces were glowing at the same time one time. I thought that we were already on Christmas." Said the black-haired boy remembering how Richard, Alice, and Aeris' legendary piece adorned the entire room he really felt like he was at a Christmas party.
"I guess." Still...why does he feel like something bad is going to happen?
()
Troy was now reading a magazine. Those always relaxed his mind whenever he needs to. Hmm, Deana and Sherri haven't come back yet he wonders. Someone knocks the door of his office.
"Come in." From the door came a familiar face to him. "Oh?! What brings you here?" Asked Troy with a smile. The person took a glance before walking inside and closing the door.
"Seems you haven't changed."
"Come on. It's been 3 years since we haven't seen each other the least you can do is say hello first."
"I didn't come here for petty reunions." Troy sighed. He hasn't changed either always serious about his job.
"So, what brings you here then?" Asked the black-haired man to the red-haired young adult.
"I have come to warn you not to get in the way of our jobs."
"Whatever do you mean by that?" The red-haired gave him a cold glare making Troy sigh in response.
"This isn't your job, Troy. This is Majestic 12's."
"You say that but you know that I'm not doing this because of a grudge or for fame. I am doing this because I love this job. Solving mysterious crimes is one of my Forte, and I will not let the chance of catching one of the most wanted criminals in France History slip through my fingers." The red-haired will acknowledge that. However, it still doesn't mean that by doing so it will jeopardize with his and the other members of Majestic 12 work. They were called by superior to investigate and stop whatever this LeGrace group was going after. So far they discovered that they were after two pearls that are thought to be lost forever. Dionne and Ragnarok. The pearls separated weren't a threat at all. However, if they manage to be together they can make a single weapon like a handgun be just as threatening as holding a nuclear missile on your shoulders. From what Ben and Mira have described from the enemies it seems that they must be people that were experimented from That project that his superior told them a few years back.
"One of this day that urge of yours is going to get you killed." Troy shrugged off.
"Risk I will take for the rest of my life I assume."
"Those assumptions will not help you just like you couldn't help her." Said the boy bitterly on which Troy for the first time went silent and frowned.
"..." The boy turns to leave and opens the door.
"Leave this to Majestic 12 if you don't...even if we're from the same blood I will have no choice but to use force. You don't want that to be the case now, do you?" With that, he closes the door leaving a downcasted Troy to think. After a few minutes, the black-haired man sighed before picking through his office table cabinet. He took from it a box of classic Rump cigarettes before picking one up and putting the rest back in the cabinet.
"You sure know how to give hard punches...Red," he lighted the cigarette before taking a small smoke and puffing it out. "But, that wouldn't be you if you didn't." The black-haired man continues to read his magazine in order to clear his mind more.

Meanwhile, Deana and Sherri were gathering information about the two people that they were tracking a few days ago. So far no one has seen the people they described which were strange because the tracking device that Sherri had was giving reads that they passed here. Even if they disguise themselves it will attract attention to them making their jobs easier.
"So much for getting closer," Sherri said as she plummeted on a bleacher with a sigh.
"Hmm?"
"Diane?"
"Maybe we're approaching this in the wrong way," Said the light brown-haired woman. "We should go somewhere where they would go next."
"And how are we suppose to know that?" Asked Sherri.
"From what we have seen the tracking ends in places where there's a nearby jewelry store. If we can eliminate the places that sell normal jewelry and sell antiques instead then maybe we can intercept them." Explained Deana.
"When you put it like that it's still low chances to find them."
"Still higher than going to a dead-end."
"I guess but we're talking about 39 stores all over France even if we eliminate everyone that is not in Paris that will leave us with 27."
"I see. Hmm, perhaps he can help..." whispered the light brown haired older woman.
"What are you talking about?" Said a confused Sherri.
"Sherri we shall visit someone, perhaps he might know a clue about it," Diane said. He might be at his home right now. She hopes at least he is.

Xino has come back home after a long day of scanning through Omega. Is been around 4 days since he has been home. However, he was looking forward to his weekend camp out with the boys. Unfortunately, Leos will be unable to join them since he is the president of a huge company.
"Welcome home dear." Gina greeted her husband with her motherly smile.
"Yeah." He always forgets how brightening and beautiful his wife's smile is.
"Xino why won't you take a shower, dinner will be ready soon."
"Okay, Say where's Richard?"
"Oh! He said he was going to train with Frederick somewhere. Something about being a better Sniper."
"I see yeah that's him alright."
"Like father like son, right?" Xino chuckles at that he also was a person that will train really hard in order to help his team in any way possible.
"Is that so?" Xino carries her in a bridal style.
"Oh, My!"
"Now that we are alone for a couple of hours, I would say to make up for our lost time." Gina blushed at that before he puts her down after reaching the kitchen before taking a good smell of his beautiful wife's cooking. "Hmm, cannot wait." He left to take a shower.
"My." Gina puts her hands on her cheeks that were rose-colored. She really wanted to join her husband now in the bathroom but her duties were in here not there. Although, she wishes they were.
A few minutes passed and someone was knocking on the door.
"Who could it be?" Asked the blonde mature woman before turning off the automatic stove and going towards the door. She opens it to see two unknown women.
"Good afternoon Gina Chedid Kurosagi I presume."
"Yes who might you be?" asked the confused mother of Richard.
"We're friends with your husband Xino Kurosagi. My name is Deana Novell this is my partner Sherri." The light brown-haired introduce herself.
"It is nice to meet you. Sherrill Emory."
"Mn. I see you can come in and wait in the living room he's right now in the bathroom."
"Thank You very much." The two female detectives went inside. For looking small on the outside this house seems very spacey inside the living room was surprisingly big in their opinion. Then again, it must be because the room they work it's very small.
"Would you like something to drink?" Asked politely Xino's wife to the two "guest". Sherri thinks that she is in the precedence of a good Samaritan.
"Yes," Sherri answered. Gina relaxed a little and gives her a warm smile.
"What about you, Miss Novell?"
"I will very much appreciate it." With that, the blonde woman left to serve some beverage for the guest.
"Deana look." Sherri signaled to a photo that is on one of the bookshelves that are on the corner of the room. Upon further inspection, they see a photo with a young Richard being carried piggyback by his father while Gina is watching them with a smile. From the looks of it, someone else took the photo.
"We took that about two years after our son was born. We were a very happy family back then." They look to see Gina with some iced tea. "Hope you don't mind this."
"Not at all. So, this is your son."
"Yes. Although he is already a high-school student."
"And he is the current Omega Singles Champion."
"Xino!" They look to see the brown-haired father of Richard drying his hair.
"Good to see you're doing well...Deana." After greeting, Deana explained the situation of why they were here.
"Hm, I see. So you think that they are searching for these pearls?"
"Yes. Dionne and Ragnarok were two legendary pearls with immense power if both were close to each other. Usually, these pearls would be nothing but regular jewelry if they were miles away from each other," Deana explained to him before Sherrill continues.
"However, if someone were to reunite these pearls together, it would be catastrophic especially if these people were to create a weapon out of it."
"That is a problem indeed." Said seriously Xino.
"That is why we want your assistance." Xino took a sip of his tea. Gina looks at her husband in concern. This request seems a lot more dangerous than the time when Lahaska hacked and put her son and his friends in danger. This, in fact, can't be solved by simply destroying a virus or simply purifying the source. No, this is a real-world situation the last time one of those happened she was...
"Man! Just when I thought I could have a peaceful vacation with my son!"
"I'm very sorry but you're the only person I could count on..." Xino cuts her off.
"No, no. is alright sooner or later I, my wife, or even my son will get involved in this."
"Your son?" Deana said confused by what Xino said.
"Deana, Miss Sherrill. I have a question. Have you ever heard the story of The Legendary Pieces?" The two look at each other in confusion before nodding.
"Yes. The story of 12 children who were chosen to become heroes. The legendary pieces were proof of their worth. Each piece held a unique power. I also remember that they were involved in a great war with a dark dragon. Why?"
"Well, what if I told you that those stories kind of has a hint of truth into it."
"True? Wait! Are you saying that your son....!" Deana said realizing what he was getting into.
"Yes. My son is the holder of the legendary piece, Diamond Dragonite." The Diamond Dragonite. She has read in the story that the holder of the said legendary piece will have the ability to summon or shape-shift into a dragon. However, that's just a folklore story but she wouldn't bypass this as truthful either.
"But why hide it for years?!" Xino sighed.
"Do you have any idea how the world would be like if they knew about this? No, I will like my son to live as much as normal high-school life as he can. Trust me Deana...this world is still not ready for the legendary pieces to be revealed to them."
()
Alice's Legendary piece shined for a second before it fizzled. She quickly shrugged off as an indication that Aeris or Richard must have walked by her house. Emuna could have too. Right now she was just home getting ready for something important.
"Lady Alice." The red-haired's attention went to the door where Jessenia was awaiting.
"Hm?"
"Milady has returned home and she wants to discuss something with you and Master Hishikawa. It seems to be urgent too" Her mother? What could her mother want to say that is so important? She looks at her C.C. Maybe later...
"Okay tell her that I'll be there." The maid nodded before closing the door. She sighed is been weeks since she was quote on quote grounded. She still is upset about it but there was nothing she could do. A princess., the more she thinks about it the more she thinks is true. I mean only a princess is treated like this when their parents become overprotective of their daughter the exception is at least those parents especially their mother show that they deeply care. Her mother hasn't even shown any emotion nor effort to seem like she cares.
"Why can't you understand I'm not a defenseless little girl anymore?" She said to herself before changing into something that would most likely fit her mother's liking.
()
"When you say it like that, it makes it seen as the entire human race cannot understand mythical artifacts." Sherri chimed in to take out the grim atmosphere that both Deana and Xino were making with their silence.
"Oh! Don't mistake it as that Miss Sherri! But I can say for sure that the majority of the people don't know that they actually exist. I mean not everyone knows about what you're chasing after." Mentioned the brown-haired father of Richard while taking a sip of his beloved wife's delicious tea.
"That aside, LeGrace is a dangerous group that works with Gregorio LeDutch one of the most wanted criminals in France. Whatever he is planning we can be sure that will bring thousands if not millions of people in danger if we do not stop this group from retrieving both pearls." Deana said.
"Xino." He can tell his wife is concerned not only about this situation but also their son and perhaps the rest of the legendary pieces holders. Hmm, maybe by using access to the Omega Satellite that hovers around Earth he could pinpoint where these members of LeGrace are heading.
"Very well, let me get my XL Mach 7.6."
"Thank you, Xino."
()
Meanwhile, The leader of LeGrace and his small partner arrived at a jewelry store.
"Anything?" Rusher asked his partner before she clicked on a monitor that appeared in front of her. This monitor was only visible to her and Rusher who has a legendary piece himself. Kula scanned the area...nothing, there were no jewels that resembled Ragnarok. With a disappointing sigh, she looks toward her tall leader.
"Nothing. It seems Ragnarok isn't here either."
"I see." Just then Rusher's C.C. rang. He looks at Kula before they connect the C.C. below the monitor. After a few seconds, the screen showed Grew.
"Grew."
"I have some great news Rusher. We have successfully retrieved Dionne from inside the Marianas Trench. Albeit we had a little trouble with Majestic 12." Majestic 12...
"Is everyone alright?" Ask Rusher.
"Yes. However, due to some damage to our jet, we had to make a small stop near our base here in Puerto Rico. We will depart tomorrow and continue toward the base."
"WHERE IS MY BEER?!!" Yelled someone who they assumed was Mol. Grew simply sighed.
"I see. We'll keep in contact and make sure none of the other members or even the same members of Majestic 12 follows you. We cannot let them know our whereabouts."
"Yes, sir." with that they end their communication.
"Looks like we need to be more careful now," Kula told the tall leader before this one nodded.
"Yes, it is for the best if we lay low as much as we can. Hmm, there are two more stores nearby and small room rents not so far from the last store so we will rest there for tonight."
"Yes." They would've proceeded to the next store if it wasn't for their legendary pieces resonating as if it was warning them of an upcoming danger. Rusher without hesitating took Kula and move out of the way of a thin laser that was going straight to the orange-haired girl's skull. Seeing an infrared dot on his head, Rusher scoffed before using his speed to outrun whoever wants them dead.
"Kula can you activate your legendary piece?!" He said while running. Kula simply gave a calm nod before her legendary piece glowed and the whole street became a labyrinth. Hopefully, they'll be able to escape.
()
Meanwhile, on the roof of a medium-sized apartment, A woman with Platinum hair had a slim infrared goggles helmet and was holding a semi-transparent color Sniper with a red targeting scope. She was dressed in a Gray suit and white buttoned shirt underneath it, pants and black shoes. If it wasn't because of the gear and the gun that she was holding in her hands someone will assume that she was just a businesswoman.
'Target lost. Proceeding to analyze the unknown structure.' The goggles told the woman who calmly reloaded her weapon and presses a button before she swipes the top of the sniper.
'Piercing mode activated. Structure analyzed. Proceeding to create structure map and visuals.' With that, the woman was ready to neutralize her targets. She wasn't stupid to shoot an actual bullet therefore, she decided to use her paralysis bullets. Even if you hit your target in the skull the worst thing that could happen was a slight headache.
()
Rusher and Kula were inside the maze/labyrinth. They have suspicions of whom might be the culprit that was trying to eliminate them. It's all thanks to the legendary pieces that they have escaped death.
"We should keep moving, Kula I will let you solve the puzzles of your very own Square Root of Puzzles. We have to escape her. If I am not mistaking she is not alone." Said the blue-haired leader of LeGrace.
"Right." It was easy for the orange-haired girl to decipher and answering all the questions that appeared in the monitors on the screens. She remembers the first time it happened. She was 8 years old, it was at that moment that she was destined to hold the legendary piece that was dangling from her neck. It was a scary but at the same time learning experience. As they proceed through this maze/labyrinth her monitor picked something up. Her eyes went wide before she yells at her blue-haired tall companion and leader.
"Rusher, Duck!" Confused by this the blue-haired male was going to ask why before his veteran survival instincts kicked in and he barely through the literal skin of his right arm escaped being shot by a thin laser.
"What the?!" Rusher then hears his legendary piece shrill warning him of another laser shot. ('Piercing laser.') thought the leader of LeGrace before moving out of another shot.
"Tch." Rusher hissed in frustration since he doesn't know where the shots can come next. The orange-haired girl was a bit concerned if she has already found them then is just a matter of time before the others follow suit. Searching for Ragnarok will be difficult if not almost impossible to get now.
"Rusher." Concerned Kula began to try and use her mist.
"DON'T USE IT!" Startled she looks at her leader. Rusher made a promise to her father no matter what: do not let Kula suffer. If she uses her mist chances are that she will get hurt from the side effects. It looks like he will need to unleash his power.
"Rusher!!" Rusher screamed as he got surrounded by the mist and his legendary piece glowed. His mechanical arm started to transform into an arm cannon similar to a certain classic hero he used to watch as a kid. He concentrates before a chirping sound emitted inside of it.
"Kula where is she?!" Asked the blue-haired male to his partner. Kula looked at the monitor to see the enemy ready to fire again.
"At our 2:00 aim up 45 degrees!" She told him before he aims exactly where she told him.
"Okay. I hope she likes the taste of her own medicine! Cheetah Cannon Level 1!" Rusher fires his cannon and from it, a blue blast escapes from the cannon. This surprises their outside adversary who had her eyes widen before a huge explosion follows. That caught the attention of the innocent bystanders who scream in terror and wonder what happened to the building. Terrorist attack? A planned demolition? No one knows. Rusher's arm reverts back to normal.
"Did I get her?"
"...Yes...I do not see her anywhere and from the way that people are panicking and the burning building slowly crumbling I say you did a number if not gotten rid of her." Kula explained while looking at her monitors.
"Good." Rusher stumbles a bit.
"Rusher."
"Don't worry I'll be fine. Just need to rest a bit from using the mist." Kula looks and frowns. The mist was slowly consuming his skin. However, it wasn't as lethal as the first time he took the full side effect. He is lucky he didn't lose his other arm for this. That is how he lost it, to begin with. This mist, it can be a blessing or it can be a curse.
"...Okay."
"Anyway, let's go we have a chance to escape from them now that they lost their scout."
"Right." They kept going to hide from the enemies that want them dead...Majestic 12.
()
Meanwhile, back at the burning building, the woman flew out of the building with her jetpack. If it wasn't for her Heavy Field Barrier H.F.B. for short, she would not have live to tell the tale. Following them will not be wise as the attack has left her without an H.F.B. and she cannot risk her enemy using that laser cannon again. Hunting them will be a lot tougher than she anticipated.
"Silvett, are you there?" Said someone thru her earpiece. He seemed to be very calm.
"...Yes."
"Report."
"The targets escaped. It seems that capturing them will require more reinforcements." The voice went silent before it spoke to her.
"I see...Are you alright?"
"Yes. All thanks to the H.F.B."
"I will send Romero and Juliet to back you up, make sure to not be discovered. We don't want them to interfere." Silvett knows who he was speaking of.
"...Yes." with that she flew away from what remained of the burning building. The search for Ragnarok will be a very difficult one but they have to stop this group from bringing the Armageddon to this world.

Who will he teach and help become a shining light Warning I am not the best writer, and it will take awhile to build to more of an action adventure story with dungeon building as a side as the story will shift from Jade the dungeon to his choosen students I use Cultivating Dungeon, and The bound dungeon as systems to build off of, but the story is all mine
