《Cross Roads: Wolves of Oleander (Book Three)》Chapter 24 (Present Day - October 19, 2014)

The full background check that Kayla conducted off the record on both Bĕhēmōṯ Firas and Aurora Rose Novak was an eye-opening one say the least. It appeared that Maria Boutonnière was also known as the Holy Mother was connected-- the same woman who reportedly betrayed her former lover turned adversary Daemon Archduke Endspiel in which he escaped prison custody and remains missing, is wanted in several countries.
Maria Boutonnière herself made her new home in HM Prison Askham Grange a few days ago, a women's open category prison located in Askham Richard village in North Yorkshire, England. The prison itself is run by Her Majesty's Prison Service. Being ever so studious, Kayla used Adrian’s resources to get the necessary information she needed for the investigation.
For multiple reasons, Kayla figuratively dragged Natalia to come along in Askham Richard village. She didn’t really take that much convincing when Kayla showed some of her findings to Natalia in private. Meanwhile, Ryoko didn’t really have that much to do, and Ayeka wanted to make to see what Kayla was up to.
Unbeknownst to Miles, they made their trip to Askham Richard village hours ahead of time. Finally, getting everyone together for both girls huddled around in the lobby.
“Okay, we are here…” Kayla informed.
Ayeka was still leery about the situation, “of course we are here, Kayla-Chan… You dragged us here across the country…”
“I have proof of Maria Boutonnière’s involvement in destroying our syndicate with the assistance of Bĕhēmōṯ Firas!” Kayla announced.
“She’s not here…” Natalia mumbled.
“What you say?” Kayla beckoned.
“She’s. Not. Here.” Natalia said with conviction.
Kayla wasn’t going to have any of Natalia’s nonsense as she got into her face, “Then, where?!” She growled.
Once again, Ayeka got between the two and explained, “The auditorium-- a theater of some sort… not far from here called Clean Break.”

Kayla scoffed at the fact, “Okay, lead the way, Natty. You're leading this arrest, remember? I’m just tagging along.” She coded.
Natalia doesn’t respond as she looked away, trembling in fear.
Ryoko witnesses the behavior and becomes concerned, “Natty, you’re shaking…”
“Natalia, dear, I would like for you to take down the Holy Mother. Read her crimes and cuff her properly,” Kayla poorly imitated Adrian as Natalia stares at her with her crimson eyes while her fierce rival staring a hole right through her.
This got another chuckle from Kayla, “I knew that would get your attention…” Having about enough, Kayla walked away and headed outside.
The team follows suit as they made their way to the parking lot.
Ayeka sprinted towards Kayla and spoke to her face-to-face, “I’m not going to ask you again, Kayla-chan, but you better tell me exactly what you’re planning to do? What are you trying to prove here?”
Kayla didn’t respond as she climbs into the driver seat of the car and starts it. Ayeka didn’t like the fact that Kayla was keeping everybody in the dark of what she indeed discovered. Already Kayla was in hot water with Adrian, and now she might be in serious trouble with Interpol of conducting an unauthorized search.
It didn’t take long for them to reach the feminist theater company called Clean Break. The theater company itself was a modern marvel on its own, having three studios and a courtyard.
The Nether Elite didn’t have to look very far since there was only one studio that was occupied. Chances are that Maria Boutonnière was inside. And indeed, she was inside as there was singing emanating from outside the studio. Weird enough, there were a lot of people chanting and singing along.
The Nether Elite was standing outside the studio, preparing the plan of attack. Kayla took a good look at her team and the only one she was concerned about-- more or less-- was Natalia who stood there stone-faced like a statue.

Kayla wasn’t impressed by her sudden cowardice, “A wink? A nudge? Anything?”
“Lay off…” Ayeka uttered.
“No, you lay off. We go in there, we got to be on our A-game. Fists up and fangs out!” Kayla quietly screams.
“Enough…!” Ayeka uttered again as they hear the round of applause from the audience. “Now, everyone, stay alert.” Ayeka urged as they opened the doors to the studio and entered inside.
The studio itself was rather spacious, holding at least 50 to 60 people. There was a stage that consisted of five others were playing their instruments. One who was front and center was a familiar face to not only to the crowd but to the Nether Elite.
She was very small and looked rather young for her age, having various hair colors before, she stopped dying it years ago, sporting her natural white blonde hair color, and that now came down to her knees. Yet her amber-colored eyes and her trademark smile stayed the same. She did away with her expensive robes as she now wears casual clothing while proudly showing off the sleeve tattoos on her arms.
“Maria Boutonnière…” Kayla identified as her team stood there, mesmerized by Maria’s sudden transformation.

The Ancient Core: A Progression Fantasy
The title of [The Ancient One] is bestowed upon an unassuming, forgotten Core. Hidden deep underground, it lies in wait, biding its time as it learns the rules of its surroundings. Roaming beasts and unknown threats surely threaten the little rock as it sticks to the darkness, its one true refuge. This is a slow-burning Dungeon-Core fiction with a LitRPG-System. You can expect an extreme amount of kingdom-building, an more in-depth Mana-System, and a Evolution-System. Chapters are between the length of 2-4k words, though the first 50 will likely be closer to 4k. Anything after will have the average be 2.5k. I personally like explaining how things work a lot, so do have that in mind if you decide to read this fiction.
