Moments later, Redgrave and two of her armored guards rushed to safety as they make their way to her office, which doubles as a panic room. Locking the door behind them and sealing it shut tight, Redgrave wasted no time calling the government officials for extra support.

“I can’t believe they’re here,” Jeanne grimaced.

“Don’t worry, they are dealing with our new prototype. The Nether Elite have no chance in hell,” one of the guards’ consoles as this camaraderie was short-lived.

In Jeanne’s seat, was a female black fox kemonomimi wearing a red battledress sitting in her chair, waving and smiling.

In a sudden blink of an eye, one of the armored guards turned on the remaining two. They never really had a chance to react as the intruders disarmed them and took them out quickly. Using one of their weapons, the traitorous armored guard the gun at Jeanne, “Don’t even move.”

Jeanne wasn’t afraid to die. If it was her time, then so be it. She had no regrets and wouldn’t change a thing about what she had done. The only downfall was the fact she wanted to do more on her time on Earth. Jeanne looked at the mask of the gunmen who is just moments away upon the trigger. Fortunately for her sake, the traitorous armored guard had other plans.

“Bang, you are dead!” the traitorous armored guard teased as he lowered his weapon. Still, Jeanne had every right to be afraid right now. “I mean, you have no idea just how hard it was to get your attention.”

Jeanne was at the mercy of her captors. He then took off his helmet and revealed himself. He was a prominent and muscular male jackal kemonomimi with long platinum blonde hair with olive skin. What the predatorial kemonomimis wanted to do, they were going to do it. Jeanne paid close attention to the towering jackal kemonomimi. She recognized him, but something was different from how he carried himself…

His whole attitude and aura were both imposing and alluring. His light purple eyes with slitted pupils were smoldering and welcoming; it even made the shade of his purple eyes like lilac roses. His warmhearted and intimidating nature was also infectious.

The jackal kemonomimi spoke with power and authority with his low, velvety voice, “Relax, Redgrave, I’m not going to kill you. Allow me to formally introduce ourselves. You have already spoken to my senior royal advisor over the phone before, Noel Moon. And it is I: Bĕhēmōṯ Firas, Imperatoris De Neque!” the jackal kemonomimi greeted with an evil smile as the female fox kemonomimi waved.

Jeanne was now officially freaked out by his polite behavior, “I… I already know who the fuck you guys are!” She stuttered, identifying the mountainous monarch. “The… the… you brought the Nether Elite here to kill me--!”

This accusation made Bĕhēmōṯ laugh malevolently, “The Nether Elite is not going to kill you either. Hell, they can barely kill a fly. I mean, I was the one who hacked into your security system… and I may have triggered the alarm on purpose.” He gloated an evil smile.

“Noel? Are you there? Answer!” Kayla said over Noel’s headset.

It was a bad habit of Noel, not turning off the speaker on her smartphone as she corrected that error when she continued to speak to Jeanne, “we did, however, need the Nether Elite’s assistance to be here today. Do you know why?”

“Y-you’re probably going to tell me anyway…” Jeanne relented.

“Your new ‘friend’ has been calling me about the Holy Mother for days now. Yesterday, he even disparaged his Majesty’s family,” Noel explained as Jeanne grew more nervous. “I know for a fact the Holy Mother has been scheming for a while now. Even playing coy and frail as she can be held with little to no detection. You, however, know all too well about… playing different roles.

“As in, you used your sympathy card and cashed in your political favors by having the Holy Mother moved from Broadmoor Hospital to Askham Grange. And conveniently away from the watchful eye of the Crux Nexus, who are working with Broadmoor. I find that quite generous since she had your mother killed years ago. Despite the age difference and the experience gap between the two of you, I know how to spot a couple of… opportunists working together to achieve one common goal.”

Jeanne was a terrible liar. She always told the truth; it was one of the reasons why she never really made a good businesswoman. They are times you really need to lie to save yourself. She tried to hide it even though it was written all over her face, “I… I don’t know what you mean...”

Bĕhēmōṯ nodded with a grin, “That’s right, Jeanne, keep treating us like we’re incompetent. I know this is entirely against my own principles, but this is necessary.”

He took the same smartphone and pulled up some provocative imagery. In particular, it was Jeanne’s brother Micah and Nether Elite’s Ryoko Shimizu having a session of violent sex games. Watching her own brother being brutalized brought tears to her eyes as she looked away.

Knowing it did the trick, Bĕhēmōṯ spared her this pain by turning off the footage, “To think, someone like your own brother in the most compromising position with the same dementors he has sworn to protect us against? I know we all have our vices, but seriously? This one is just… considerably heinous. And I have done a lot of heinous things.”

Trying to stay strong, Jeanne tried her hardest not to cry, “What do you want from me?”

Noel didn’t beat around the bush this time, “You don’t really have to ask what we need from you. And I really don’t have to say what his Majesty wants either.”

Jeanne tries to take a deep breath, but the sudden shakiness in her voice was heard clearly, “Consider it done…”

With a disappointing smile, Bĕhēmōṯ was somewhat pleased with the outcome, “I’m glad we can all be friends again. I know my uncle doesn’t want to talk to me anymore due to many reasons, but you better tell him to keep his mouth shut as well because he is in no position to say anything. As for you, rabbit, we'll be in touch.”

And with a snap of his fingers, Bĕhēmōṯ and Noel disappeared in a veil of light, leaving Jeanne devastated and hurt.
