《Legends of Valheim》Chapter 1: Legends

The Demon Race was once in harmony with every race, however this changed due to the fair, and neutral Demon King being seized by a group who wanted to wreak havoc. This inevitably led to every race other than the Demons forming an alliance known as 'Valor'. The name was used to ignite passion and morale as continious wars was bound to happen, and it was coming soon.
Year X1200 was the preface of a gigantic battle, which has been recorded down as the Battle of Gods.
The name was made because of the God's interference, and bestowing a system among the Valor Races, which included: Humans, Elves, Fairies, Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings and Dragons. Although nobody knew whether Dragons were real or not, the God's confirmed their existance to the Legends by giving them a system too. The system included Levels, which increased somebody's lifespan by ten years everytime they level up, starting from level 10. This newfound system also included classes, which the ratings were: Uncommon, Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. These Legendary Classes were the main forces of Valor, their strength was obvious due to the sheer amount of numbers there were, out of the whole population, 27 Legendary Classes came to be, and only one individual could have this class. Their strength was unparalleled and could not be compared to anything that was seen beforehand. This included weapons that were made by the Blacksmith Class, these weapons were unlike anything that had been made before and had made a huge impact in the numerous battles against the Demons.
Also, not only were Levels and Classes introduced, children were now born with Passion from birth, which is as natural as breathing for them. They would be given 1 - 3 passions which is what they not only excel at, but truly love. This can range from anything in the world, to having a passion for books, or having a passion for research into the worlds mysteries. The most a child can have is three, and no more than that.

After 120 years of almost continious battle, it finally came to end in X1320, which was named 'Haven Day', as it marked the day that their world was now safe from the Demons, as they had been expelled into the Underworld, and now everything could go back to normal, however, the Legends wanted to make a name for themselves, so they somehow begged the God's to do something about their heritage before they cease to exist. The God's weren't against this idea, as one day the Demons may strike again, so they added a system, whenever Women were giving birth to their children after a millenia of Haven Day (X1320), Legendary Class Candidates will be given birth to, this event would be completely random and may happen to anyone. For example, a woman needs to give birth on X2320, and they had between X2320 and X2340. This will happen on every Haven Day to come, as this was an event which happened every millenia. However, the Legends had to sign an oath with the God's to keep this quiet from the entire world, as this would enforce things like slavery and mass population during these times. Every Legend had no qualms with this and went on their way.
In celebration for Haven Day, every important figure in the world concluded that this world shall be named 'Valheim', in accordance to the alliance.
After the Legends numbers slowly dwindled overtime, the max level anyone reached was 210, which was accomplished by Brale, who was Magic Swordsman Legend.
Because they soon realised their levels were difficult to raise, they instead started to place their inheritance as they knew their time was coming to an end.
Soon after, 2 generations came, and as the God's expected, Demons were rampant once in awhile, and battles became an occurence, albeit rare. However, dragons who were children when the 1st Generation of Legends were active, they soon came to realise that the 2nd Generation could not be compared in the slightest, and nobody knew why. This didn't mean they were weak at all, they just couldn't be compared to their past generation, and this slowly happened to the 3rd Generation. Now, it's the 4th Generations turn, however, no one in the Valor Race except Dragons could live long enough to see another Generation, so they had no clue about the dwindling of power.

X4321.
"Push Darlin'! You can do it!". A man with a stubble was shouting encouragments to his wife who was pushing as much as she could to give birth to their child, and quite a rough accent. Just by hearing this accent, somebody would instantly know that they live in a countryside environment.
"Almost love, I can see a head!". The midwives were ecstatic, it was almost over. The lady giving birth also couldn't be happier, she wanted this to be over with as soon as possible because of the pure pain.
The man took a look at what was happening when the midwife said she could see a head, and the man almost fainted and had to sit down, looking pale. Who could blame him? It was a literal bloody mess!
A midwife who was there for assistance purposes, chuckled as she saw this and changed her full attention on the baby.
Half an hour passed, and a bloody baby came from the woman.
The man was bursting with happiness, whilst the woman was sweating profusely, however she also cracked a smile whilst holding her baby boy.
Both parents looked at eachother and nodded, almost like they knew instantly.
"Ivan. His name is Ivan". The man lunged in and kissed both his wife and his child.
A few seconds later, their expressions changed.
[A new Druid Legend Candidate has been born!]
[Private message to Sam Moore and Liam Moore, Congratulations! Your child is now a Druid Legend Candidate! You and your child will never be told when a new Legend is born again!]
Their faces completely darkened, the midwives cracked a few jokes saying it could be your son, but only Sam and Liam knew it was actually him. The first message was broadcasted to every Valor Race in the world including children, however the second message was personalised to Ivan's parents.
This would be an honour for any family who was prestigious as this would bring honour to their family, however Sam and Liam were different. Sam has a rare class which meant she became an Adventurer during her early years, aswell as Liam however he only has a common class, he just enjoyed adventuring! Whilst Sam was something special and Liam not so much, they both saw disgusting things on their adventures. Dead bodies, carcasses, results of abuse. However, Ivan was a Legendary Candidate. This was practically his obligation! Also, everyone who belonged to a Valor Race has heard the stories of the 2nd and 3rd Generation battles. Because they were candidates, only one could live. Because of this, they had to kill eachother until only one Legendary Candidate of that class exists. However, they could only kill eachother candidates after 20 years, nobody knew why, however some conclusions have been drawn to the fact that after the 20 years, that's when Legend Candidate babies stop being born.
Ivan wouldn't even be able to live a quiet life either, because after someone reaches level 75, if they're a Legend Candidate, they have the ability to feel other living candidates no matter where they are in the world, they just had to be the same class candidate. Now, Ivan was about to be brought up in a world where his life is always at stake.
Sam was already emotionally vulnerable, so this was her breaking point, the floodworks didn't stop. Liam couldn't help but just stare at the crying baby whilst comforting his wife.
"I'm so sorry...". Liam silently wept too. He couldn't help but feel sorry for him as he had brung him into this world.

The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods. PLEASE NOTE: Weekly chapters will be released every friday along with interludes once in a while about Nigerian mythology. I'm a young 17 year old writer and I am new to the site so I will appreciate your comments and reviews. Thank you very much.

Shattered World: New Game +
Monsters have appeared and are attacking. The only hope for humanity are the gods who have come to help them. Granting their chosen the power and abilities to fight against the onslaught. Almost like a video game. Specifically, the video game Shattered Earth. A little too specifically like Shattered Earth? [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Some things about this story. This is a brutal world and a gory story, the gore is described. It is also NOT a power fantasy. This story depicts an Apocalypse, and humanities attempts to overcome it. There is more stuff to be noted that are different but those would be spoilers. Just know, if you are going into this expecting a litRPG power fantasy save the world story, you will not find it.
