I've found another deficiency in my drawing–not a really headline event (headline in the literal sense) in itself, but it's an area I don't see touched on often. In animation, naturally, one draws a character many times at many angles and positions, so consistency is key–same thing with comics to a lesser degree (some comics fail completely at this and it makes them unreadable, in my humble opinion). But really, that consistency shouldn't be left at cartooning: the ability to draw the same human being in many poses is a natural extension of both cartooning and the basic ability to capture features, and I think it's a kind of practice that may end up being quite useful, this combination life drawing and consistency. It's a basic thing, but like the ability to derive eigenvectors from eigenvalues (and also unlike; it is actually a new discovery with definite ramifications), I don't see it being done very often. For beginners like myself, my preliminary expectation is that this combination makes for an excellent form of practice.

Of course, drawing means drawing and here it all unravels...
