Vecto paused, staring at his former friend and companion with his remaining eye.
"You heard me!" Streamline coughed. "You valued his life over yours and thought of yourself as a worthless machine. You wondered why Gyro had risked his life for you when you can be recreated. You blamed yourself and questioned your existence, telling yourself you weren't worth saving . . . and soon, that mentality stuck . . . and you began acting like the mindless machine you once vowed never to become!"
Vecto was at a loss for words. He struggled to maintain his thoughts as he reflected on Gyro's brutal death.
Streamline laughed despite Vecto's grip. "Don't you realize? When you found word of Morphaal's resurrection, you pinned the blame on him instead, and when he couldn't be found, you blamed Sable! Then you blamed the SS6. Your rage trickled down from there, and now you're venting your rage on your friends, acting like the whole world is against you, when in fact-it's you against the world . . ."
"You lie. You're lying!" Vecto yelled, tightening his grip. "You are the ones who toiled against me!"
Streamline took another deep breath. "How selfish of you! . . . We aren't tryin' . . . to kill you, Vecto. We're trying to save you!" As he spoke, he grasped Vecto's chestplate panels. "To bring you back to the OLD VECTO!" He yanked Vecto's chest apart, going for his core: for the Flummox Capacitor orb within the robot's chest.
Vecto's mind snapped back to reality. He looked down to observe that his chest was open, then watched as Streamline extracted his pistol and blasted his orb at point-blank range. The shell struck the orb's faint shield and exploded, causing Vecto to release Streamline, both of their bodies catapulting from the force of the blast. The explosion ripped into Vecto's waist, flaring through his chest. It also tore through Streamline's body armor, exposing some of his charred flesh.

"You would sacrifice yourself to obliterate me?" Vecto asked. His body was aflame, but within those flames, the orb remained intact, spinning in place.
"To save you!" Streamline replied, struggling back to his feet. "AND KNOCK SOME SENSE INTO YOU!" He lifted his Omega Blaster and unleashed green energy at Vecto. The blasts divided in midair, spanning out to lash Vecto's body like horizontal rain. The energy beams chipped at Vecto's frame as the robot walked through the stream, heading for Streamline.
The gunfire ceased as Vecto's Blaster 3,000 knocked Streamline in the side of the head and fired.

8 105Energy
A discussion of people, monsters, and the nature of reality, all with the scenic backdrop of a litRPG and violent death. Anthony is your average, unassuming programmer that wakes up from a dream only to find the world he knew is gone, along with much of his memory of it. He is forced to fight for his life (badly) and try to help others (unwillingly) in a desperate bid for not only his own survival, but that of humanity as a whole. Join me on my first expedition into writing anything longer than a book report as I ramble endlessly and attempt to cushion the whole thing with exotic adventures in a game world.
8 93Palus Somni
It is the final days after the end of the world and you only have one month left before the last sanctuary erupts into chaos. There's a dead body hanging from a tree and cadaverous giants watch you sleep at night. The end is already here, you just don't know it yet. Now rated in the top 3% of all novels on Royal Road! Palus Somni (‘Marsh of Sleep’) is a worldbuilding webnovel about what happens when your God forsakes you. Inspired by gothic horror and mingled with British myth and folklore, join the Alucinari nuns as they struggle with day-to-day life after the world has ended. Every night when the sun sets the monstrous Gol, colossal beings with too many teeth, awaken and roam the marshlands. Only those with a faithful heart will be spared. Young acolyte Wille has never seen the walls fail, but when a fellow nun is murdered within their sanctum the very safety of the monastery is thrown into question. Did the Gol find a way to breach their defences, or is there a human traitor amongst them? The answer lies both far in the past and deep beneath the earth, through the maze of ancient catacombs. With a cast of over thirty different characters, watch as your friends and enemies spiral into inevitable madness at the hands of a callous and unforgiving world. Discover the secrets of Palus Somni through letters, diary entries and notes found scattered across the monastery. Uncover the mystery of the grotesque giants that stalk the night and bring your challenge to the Gods themselves. Each character has their own handmade pixel art, and every update includes a music recommendation for a dark atmospheric dungeon synth album that you can listen to while you read. Slice of life meets cosmic abomination: Palus Somni is a collection of intertwining stories, some chapters are stand-alone tales while others feed into the overarching narrative. It is an exploration into a community, and rather than focusing on any one character the story meanders through the convent, exposing the hopes and fears of its inhabitants. Story updates every full moon.
8 54The tribal queen and the Medic
The duty of a medic is to help those in need, no matter who they are. So after a bloody battle between imperial forces and Native Amazonians, Jaison went back to the battlefield to search for survivors. It starts to rain and the exhausted young man takes shelter upon a hill and under a tree, that is when he meets a beautiful Amazonian whose warriors need help. Being a medic he decides to help, what could possibly go wrong. Bit slow on updating at the moment since I am rewriting some parts and making some new parts for the story. I am also now making a story called Amazonian and her captive which I want to be somewhat like this story, just high quality and with a better story. Coming soon: Updating and adding new chapters. I also have a blog spot where I only upload images based of the stories I write.

[unedited/discontinued] I thought the unimaginable only existed in fairy tales, and stupid redundant television shows. I never knew how wrong I was.
