《Alpha Squad - Vecto: Vengeance》Episode 1.6

The robot Vecto resumed his body image to hide the weapons and trick the soldiers. He blasted rapid pulsebeams through his hands as he walked closer. Soldiers blocked the energy beams or dodged and fired back. But Vecto's shields took the blows as he reached his hand out-littering the room with pulsebeams and bullets from his palms. A drove of soldiers died, and in retaliation, others came from behind with pulsesabers. They were met by missiles that Vecto launched from his back. Cannons catapulted from his chest, and blades slung from his arms. A green-haired soldier took a cannon blast to her face, a muscular one shielded himself from missiles but was struck in the neck by a blade, and a long-haired fellow was hit with a triangle bomb and blew up.
The weaponry kept coming. A cylinder gun formed over Vecto's arm, and he blasted zero point energy at incoming soldiers. A guy with a staff spun his weapon at Vecto's neck, but it snapped in half, and Vecto returned the favor with an elbow strike to his head, breaking the man's neck. Then a female swung her pulsesaber at Vecto, but he caught it, sucked the energy from the blade, and punched her in the face, sending her flying across the room. An old-fashioned metal sword struck Vecto's helmet. It was grabbed by Vecto's shape-shifting shield, snapped in half, and plunged between the soldier's eyes.
The soldiers stepped back as Vecto ceased fire.
"Any other volunteers?" Vecto asked. He existed only as the orb, controlling the floating weapons within his Force Field Shields in the shape and image of a human suit.
"I'll take you on in zero-g!" yelled a bulky man with a metal plate on his head. He clicked a few buttons on a protruding wall panel, and the room began to lose its gravity. Antigravity mechanics in the room activated to give the SS6 a competitive advantage. It was how they trained.

"All right. Your move," Vecto taunted as he hovered in the air, spinning upside down.
Bullets came at Vecto, but he blocked them with his fingers and reflected some back at them. The man with a plated head tried to grab him, but Vecto's shield expanded over the man's arm, then hardened to slice it from his body. Vecto threw the arm aside as the man screamed-silenced by a blast to the head. Someone flipped against the wall and jetted for him, but Vecto kicked ice down his throat from his foot's Air-to-Ice function. Even a five-foot-radius energy ball didn't work on him. Vecto grabbed the blast and slung it past him.
"Any more?" Vecto asked and extended an energized electro-sword from his arm, followed by a grav-sword from his other arm, and lastly a pulsesaber from his chest. The blades spun in place, slicing through the image of a fake body.

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.
