“It seems the original trio has reunited once again.” Adamlock spoke with a grin.

“I would love to bask in nostalgia from the yesteryears but this damnable place is a deathtrap.” Xavier exclaimed as he exposed his wound upon his shoulder.

“This was the aftermath of a brief fight. That fucking bastard ran away after I used most of my mana to deal a powerful blow.” Xavier continued to speak as he heaved a sigh of relief.

“But which wizard could be so powerful to cause you harm instantly? Ezekiel of One-eye, or possibly someone of that caliber.” Meguri spoke towards the duo as she openly speculated. Closely watching the vicinity, as she scanned the corridors and aisles of books.

“Gregor the Great.” Xavier slowly uttered.

“...” Adamlock and Meguri remained silent as the atmosphere intensified.

“Mother. Father?” Adamlock spoke out of curiosity.

Returning home from vacation, Adamlock eagerly returned home. Impatient to embrace his beloved mother and father. Though, the father was only added due to Adamlock’s filial nature. Teased at school and reputed to being the world’s number one mother’s boy. Adamlock’s scholastic achievements were nothing but impressive. As his butler drove upon the gravel road of his family’s estate. Adamlock admired the trimmed bushes and trees that accompanied a lush garden filled with exotic, beautiful plants and flowers. Parked several feet from the gigantic light brown door that led to a place called home. He excitedly ran, pushing the door away with magic as he yelled out to his parents. Soon his yells of happiness became a yell of curiosity.

Repeatedly calling out his parents within the vast home. He began to acknowledge his parent’s absence, pondering what socialite event they could be participants at. Unsatisfied from their selfish behavior, Adamlock proceeded towards the kitchen. As he hummed a light tone, a behavior his mother taught him, he noticed markings of magic coating the walls. Following the trial, the markings soon became marks of blood. Feeling his heart drop into his stomach, he chased after the trial. Soon he heard the fluctuations of a battle and the voice of a woman and man casting magic. The voices he had known since birth.

“Lumen Praesidii!” The woman yelled as a beacon of yellow light formed into a protective dome. Protecting both her and her husband, as their body was coated in wounds.

“Such actions is futile. Your family’s heirloom will be mine.” An aged voice spoke as gaseous tentacles surrounded the protective dome.

As the tentacles wrapped and submerged the dome. They steadily constricted, forming cracks upon dome and forcing the woman to cough blood. Refusing to lay down and die, the husband lovelying stared at his wife. Beautiful. Ignoring the fatigue and blood. He gazed at her figure, from her ample bottom to her chest that didn’t quite match in size. Her long brunette hair and the braids that accompanied it. Those thoughts soon led to his children, a son and daughter. Smiling as he felt renewed vigor course through his body, he bellowed out a hearty laugh which startled his wife.

“Adam…?” His wife uttered in an urgent tone.

“Little Belia. Your a wonderful mother and even more wonderful wife. Sanguis Vitam!” Adam screeched as blood emitted from his pores. Forming a ring around his body, dazzling lights blinded not only himself but his wife and their enemy. As the lights remained in dazzling brilliance, Adam skin began to discolour from a vibrant yellow hue towards a color of death; black. Belia watched a tears threatened to spill from her eyes, yet she remained firm to maintain the protective light. Yet their enemy, whose elderly features and pale tone remained calm and collected.

“Such actions is futile, your sacrificial magic will not harm me in due time-”

“Vi Lumine!” A youthful voice yelled in tone of intensified hatred as blood coated his eyes. His wand of ancient wood filled with gold lining, aimed towards the head of the pale figure. Only for the pale figure to reveal shocked eyes filled with anger and hatred. As his power erupted, quickening the destruction of the dome. His tentacles raced towards the wounded pair a beacon of light summoned by the youthful voice delayed their path.

“You insolent little child. I will kill you and retrieve that heirloom from your immature hands.” The pale figure spoke. Redirecting his tentacles towards Adamlock, a sinister gleam danced across the elder’s eyes. Dizziness surrounded Adamlock’s scenery as he felt a pair of abyssal colored tentacles penetrate his body before hoisting him by the neck. The deathly toned figure released a satisfied smile before violently coughing in blood, before light rivaling the intensity of a red-sun coated his entire body. The force of light caused an explosion-equivalent of a home’s demolition, forcing shards of wood, metal and glass to scatter everywhere and forcing the four individuals flying several meters from whiplash. Adamlock gazed at his parents unconscious figure, only to witness his mother smile and wink at him as she mouthed her lips.

“Be a good child Adam and take care of younger sister.” Belia mouthed as tears shed from her eyes.

Realizing the severity of the situation. Adamlock trembled uncontrollably as tears became rampant as he willed his body to crawl towards his beloved mother. Struggling as his body was stabbed with numerous debri of wood and glass. Ignoring the pain as glass shards cut into his hands and legs, he slowly crawled closer to his mother. Pain began to ache his heart as he realized he was unable to ever embrace his mother ever again, such distance was close walking, but unreachable in his current state.

“M-mother. I-I have nothing but E’s and O’s for my N.E.W.T exams.” Adamlock spoke with forced enthusiasm.

“M-mother. I’m going to be a powerful wizard that’ll make you smile.”

“M-mother. Please don’t go to sleep… m-mother, can you bake me some oatmeal cookies?”

Adamlock continued to speak and nag his mother. Who often hushed him with her lips before showering her beloved child with love. Yet she could only listen as tears flooded her eyes, as she watched her beloved world repeatedly toss words to earn a response. Her heart pained heavily, and she wished for nothing more to reunite with her child. But the world wouldn’t let her, as the hand of fate had different ideas. As her vision and hearing became blurred, a last tear escaped from her closed eye-lids. Sealing the entirety of her life and the memories that accompanied her, all towards the road of death.

“What’s a little child like you roaming around the Tomb of Potter. Do you have a death wish?”

“Maybe the little pussy got lost. Oh, he’s a member of the Phoenix. Maybe he’s a powerful virgin, you should seduce him to be an errand boy. Hey! Errand Boy.”

A pair composed of a woman and bird inched closer to the lone male who stood statue. Inwardly he was fearful, aware of the prestige of the eccentric woman. As her curves inched closer to him, he admired the beauty. From her short black hair, to her dazzling yellow eyes that seemed intoxicating. But nothing of admiration nor lust bottled inside him, because a headache of annoyance threatened to end his existence. As he listened to the bird’s obnoxious and vulgar use of language. He knew for certain he was going to be dragged into whatever charade that pair wanted. He knew of her reputation, he knew of her adventurous spirit, and unfortunately, he knew he was going to be another name attached to her banner of mischief.
