The three went to an open area near the tribe. Alexa sits near the bushes, and both Akino and Lyka were standing at the center of the field.

Lyka: Alexa said you like my outfit, do you really like it?

Akino: Really? Alexa?

Alexa: Hehehehe

Akino: It suits on you.

Lyka: Thank yo –

Akino: If it truly served its purpose. You said the lightness exhibits mobility. I want to know what mobility you’re referring to.

Lyka: Wha…

Lyka didn’t just disappeared. She dashed, so fast it created a small sonic boom. After a brief moment, she reappears in front of Akino, with her left leg on its way flying towards Akino’s face. But Akino is faster. Lyka didn’t notice that Akino’s right arm already in position, blocking her kick. Lyka couldn’t stop because of her momentum, the kick hits, so strong it made the air between her leg and Aki’s arm move so fast, creating a small shockwave. The ground where Akino stands where shattered, making her dash away from Lyka after her kick.

Lyka: H – How?

Akino: Simple, not strong enough. But didn’t expect you’d move so fast, huh?

Alexa: I just notice, her body is mainly composed of muscles instead of fat. That’s why it doesn’t jiggle that much…

Lyka: EH?!

Akino: Can we please focus?

Lyka: Oh, sorry.

Akino: I’m surprised you’ve already utilized the modification in your body. With pre-calculations, you’d only show 50,000 newtons of punching force, but with your already modified body, it can deal more than that. Limitless power, and you must show that to me. So, don’t hold back.

Lyka raised her right arm, bluish fiery magic circles appeared on it. Akino started taking a defensive stance, she knew Lyka won’t hold back anymore.

Lyka: Thine Darkness, come thee prowess. Reaping Shadow!

A black aura appeared around Lyka, then she dashed again. This time, Akino isn’t going to block. She immediately grabs the dashing Lyka, and she succeeds but that Lyka turned into a black smoke.

Akino: What the! A copy?!

Lyka appeared behind Akino. With her left arm raised, she shouts:

Lyka: Reaping Arrow!

An explosion occurred, throwing Lyka away. Akino withstood the blast, and as soon as she sees Lyka laying on the ground, she ran towards her. Alexa did also run toward her. Lyka sat on the ground, shaking off the dusts on her clothes.

Akino: Lyka!

Alexa: Ma! Are you alright?!

Lyka: I’m fine… but this bionic arm prevented me from casting a spell.

Alexa stares at Akino with a spiteful expression.

Akino: My fault, I know…

Alexa: So, carbon fibre and tungsten-titanium aren’t conductive to mana? It just reacts badly, like an explosion…

Akino: But her arm seems to be undamaged… are you hurt?

Lyka: No. Nothing’s hurt.

Akino assists Lyka to stand.

Akino: I’m – I’m sorry…

Lyka: It’s alright, better have an arm than nothing… but only my right arm can cast spells.

Alexa: If you think about it, that explosion could be useful. But you must withstand its force.

Akino: We’ll get to that, but first, time for round two. This time just use your left to punch me.

Lyka: Got it.

The two went back to their positions. Lyka did the same thing.

Lyka: Reaping Shadow!

Akino: Won’t fall for that in a second time!

Another black aura appeared around Lyka. Akino readies herself, but she was surprised. Five Lykas went out of the black smoke, running towards her. She clenches her fists, and swiftly punches each of the Lyka, only ending up punching a copy of her. Akino did a roundhouse kick behind her, and her kick stops midair. Lyka was able to turn herself invisible, used her bionic arm to block Akino’s kick.

Akino: Wow. Now we’re in a reversed position. But still, it’s not strong enough. I thought you’re not going to hold back.

Lyka: I am!

Akino: Then why is it still weak?! Is that all you’ve got?!

Lyka snaps. She jumps away from Akino, she raised her right arm, and a magic circle appeared on her palm and on the ground where she stands.

Alexa: Oh boy, you made her mad.

Akino: Good. We’ll get to see her full extent.

Lyka: You really want me to go all out?!

Akino: That’s what I’ve been waiting for the past 5 minutes.

Lyka: Tsk!

Lyka closed her eyes. Akino could feel that a huge amount of energy is concentrating around Lyka’s body. The mana energy is condensing on her right palm, pointing towards Akino.

Lyka: Dark Roar!

A huge dark bluish energy ball emerges from Lyka’s magic circle on her palm. Alexa jumped into the bushes to hide, while Akino prepares herself by raising her arms, putting it together to defend herself. Lyka shoots out the energy towards Akino. A huge shockwave, a deafening blast, and a bright flash terrorized the whole forest. The aftermath has burned the ground, the trees where the blast is directed were torn down and burned. In the middle is Akino, still standing but with missing arms, burned body from her head down to her toes, tattered face and was reduced like purely burnt char. Lyka gasps on what she saw, she didn’t expect to burn Akino alive with her attack.

Lyka: AKI?!

Lyka runs toward Akino, but Alexa jumps in to stop her. Lyka was about to cry, regretting the actions she did.

Alexa: Don’t!

Lyka: It was an accident! I’m sorry! I’m very sorry!

Alexa: Ma! Step back!

Lyka: Please, don’t be mad. I swear, I didn’t expect to –

Alexa: Ma, relax. Just look.

Alexa assists Lyka to step back as they stare at the burnt body. After a few seconds, electrical currents began appearing on the body, and as this electricity runs over Akino’s body, the body began regenerating in an instantaneous pace. As the body repairs itself, the surrounding began heating up, the grasses three meters away from the body began burning and the already burned ground started to become red hot, turning into molten rock in seconds. Akino’s body was fully healed, or ‘repaired’ in a just fifteen seconds. She bends her neck, stretches her arms, and then yawns.

Lyka: H – how?

Akino: Matter manipulation. I told last time, in our world magic doesn’t exist, but smart people were able to harness the power of recombining and rearranging matter.

Alexa: You did read the file about the experiments on us, didn’t you?

Lyka: Yes, I was able to read it… but some parts were a bit complicated for me. I had to use your ‘dictionary’ every time I see a very unfamiliar word.

Alexa: Still having problems with some of our terms, huh?

Akino: Well, to sum it up: we can be regenerate super -fast, able to adapt in extreme environments, manipulate the compositions of the objects to our will, and due to our connection to this ‘spatial anomaly’ we have unlimited supply of energy and atoms to rebuild ourselves.

Lyka scratches her head upon hearing what Akino said. Akino scoops out a hot, molten soil with her hand. Lyka was shocked on she’d seen, as Akino turns the molten material into a steel knife.

Lyka: Wow! You didn’t even use a tiny bit of mana!

Akino: Matter manipulation, though we still don’t know what’s the full extent of it.

Akino holds the knife firmly and takes an offensive stance.

Akino: Ready for round two?

Lyka: Wait, aren’t you exhausted?

Akino: Nope. Throw that same attack again.

Alexa: What?!

Lyka: Don’t be ridiculous!

Akino: Do it, or I’ll attack you.

Lyka repeats her attack, another energy ball forms on the palm of her right hand.

Lyka: Dark Roar!

Akino stands still, facing head on the attack Lyka was about to release. Lyka hesitates, but she builds the courage to release the attack. As Lyka releases the condensed magic energy, Akino’s skin turned into plated armor, covering her whole body in less than a second. The attack hits her. As the dust settles, Akino can still be seen standing upright, no damages on her body this time, however her body is glowing like a very hot metal.

Lyka: You’re glowing, are you alright?

Akino: You should prepare another attack.

Lyka: What?!

Akino takes an attacking stance, a trapezoidal opening where in vent fan looking structure appears on her chest armor and huge electrical currents are coming out of her. Lyka, which is confused, immediately casted another spell, making new sets of magic circles around her.

Lyka: Multiple Cast! Dark Shadow, Reaping Roar!

Shadow images, 5 in total, splits off from Lyka, all carrying condensed magic energy on their right hands. They surround Akino, and immediately releases the concentrated power. Akino sweeps her clenched fist in circular manner, hitting all the magic energy beams, cancelling their damaging impact, and causing to create a shockwave. Lyka sure is surprised with that, so she jumped 4 meters high, and casted a magic circle above Akino.

Lyka: Greater Dark Roar!

The magic circle shoots out an energy beam, directly above Akino. A direct hit. The ground shakes, and the winds move aggressively due to the sheer amount of force the magic circle is releasing. The beam violently dissipates, revealing Akino jumping with her right fist raised. While in mid-air, Lyka throws a left punch the instant seeing Akino jumped towards her. Akino grabs Lyka’s Bionic left arm and throws her to the ground.

Lyka: Ugh!

Alexa: Aki! Be easy on her!

Akino: I am.

Akino reaches her hand to Lyka, assisting her on standing up.

Alexa: Ma, are you alright?

Lyka: I’m fine, thanks.

Akino: And with that, now I could see your problem.

Lyka: My – problem?

Akino: Repetitive attacks makes you predictable, shouting the name of your spells count in being predictable as well, you’re taking time in casting spells, and lastly… well not really that it concerns you, so I’ll let that slide out. Overall, great strength and speed, but you’re not using properly.

Lyka: Hey! What’s with the last one?

Alexa: Yeah, I mean she needs to know that so she can improve.

Akino sighs, she creates a tactical knife from the palm of her hand and hands it to Lyka.

Akino: Strike that knife onto my chest.

Lyka: WHAT?!

Alexa: Oh boy… she’s doing it.

Lyka: Doing what?

Akino: You heard me.

Alexa: Just do it, ma. She did that to me as well during our time in our old world.

Lyka: What – what happens next?

Alexa: See it for yourself.

Lyka readies herself, she rushes towards Akino and aims the knife towards her chest. Akino stands still, but she could see that Lyka closed her eyes while she’s rushing towards her. The moment the knife nearly hits Akino, she sidesteps it and immediately grabs Lyka on her shoulders to stop her.

Akino: You haven’t killed anyone, have you?

Lyka: I…yes…

Akino: You slowed down when you got nearer to me… you’re hesitant in hurting someone, yet you have so much strength in you. Your guardian taught you a thing or two in fighting, right?

Lyka: Dr’akan only taught me some useful spells, she also taught me to fight and defend myself as well as the others. But she never taught me to kill anyone.

Akino: Yeah, but you burnt me into crisps earlier.

Lyka: I’m not intending to hurt you badly! I just... lose control of myself…

Alexa: Well, if you can’t handle killing someone, incapacitating should do, right Aki?

Akino: I guess… but finishing off the enemy is more efficient. Still, it depends on the situation you’re in.

Lyka: You’ve trained Alexa to kill?

Alexa: Yeah! Strangling the neck, lethal stabs on the sternum with pencil, neck breaking, spine splitting, and many other ways.

Akino: You’ve seen how cruel our world was, so I was forced to train what I knew. And she’s making up that, I only taught her how to climb up on someone fast since she’s small, and how to stab them or break their neck while clinging to their backs.

Lyka: You guys are weird.

Akino: You should build up the courage in killing someone, it will help you survive in a cruel world.

Lyka: What if the enemy surrenders?

Alexa: Disable the guy, so that he can’t counter against you.

Akino: This will be a tough one…

Akino sat on the ground, and gestures to the two to take a seat as well.

Akino: I have a plan, we’ll use overriding techniques to make you learn things faster.
