《Feathery Delight》Epilogue

At the same time in a modern, sleek, hospital room. Rhythmic beeping sounded from the heart monitor placed right beside the teen sleeping in the bed. It was connected via long cables to his body. Many other expensive-looking machines cramped the room but were not in use currently. The pale and emaciated form of Jason, clad in a hospital gown, peeked out from between the sheets. A strange addition to the outfit was the metal cuffs shackling his arms to the bed and making him unable to leave its confines. Were it not for the setting, he would have looked like he was just sleeping. Half-close curtains let in a meager amount of light, and the dark windows on the other side tinted the room in twilight.
The room was eerily quiet. The only signs of life came from a sleeping boy and a heart rate machine. At least that was the case until the lanky form of a man clad in a black suit appeared in the shadows. He moved like a cat, stalking through the night, and sat down next to the bed. He reached out with his hand. And, with the utmost care, moved the hairs out of the teen's face. “Really, what am I going to do with you now?” His voice was quiet and calm. “You come to me with the desire to grow stronger, and I help. My only request was that you be careful when you use that power. Now, what do you do? You go around assaulting girls for their magic. Not only that but you get caught in the process, bringing down the full power of the police and magistrate upon us!"
The man grew more and more furious. The calm struggled to hide the deep fury hidden behind its mask. “And then you go and mess with the Junge family? And you FAIL?!” Face twisted in anger, the man stopped himself when he heard the stuttering sound of the machine next to him. Somehow, during his outrage, his hand found its way around the teen's throat, strangling him in the process. “Haaa… This is all your fault, you know. You don’t deserve this power. Let me take it back before your idiocy causes any more stupid mistakes.”

Mana moved, and mystical seals of black and blue formed above the sleeping form of Jason. A slight red shimmer made it through his closed eyelids for a few moments before dimming again. Slowly, a red mist began to seep out of his body, drifting towards the seals hanging above. With increasing speed, the fog leaked his body. In the process, his entire body began to lift, coming to a rest levitating a few centimeters above the bed. The fog congregated and formed a red sphere hanging just below the seals. A few minutes later, the process was finished. With the disappearance of the seals and fog, Jason's body dropped lifelessly down onto the bed.
Accompanied by the long, high-pitched sound of a no longer beating heart, The man reached his fingers for the red sphere. Like an appel from a tree, he plucked it out of the air. His eyes shone with delight as he observed the power collected in the small red orb. “Come back now. Maybe your next host will be the right one.” From the object in his hands, the man’s eyes returned back to the now still body of Jason. “Your excessive need for the female flesh and inability to control those urges were good for something, it seems."
The hospital was becoming lively, and he could hear many people rushing to the room. The ball in his right, he stood up and dusted off his clean suit with his left, taking extra care of the shield-like emblem pinned there. “So long, young Mosby.” With his words of parting, his body shimmered like a mirage in the desert before dissipating into nothingness.

8 302World War Academy [DROPPED]
EDIT: Hello, as you can tell this story is dropped. reason why this is the case is that I really didn't know where I was going to take this story and really, I wasn't satisfied with how I was writing here. However I am currently writing a completely new story and with it is that I am taking some aspects from here and using the ideas on my new story. New characters, new ideas, new plot, everything is completely new. So I hope that goes well and i'll leave this story up as reference for me in the future. Thank you Akani Kizuato. An 18 year old that recently started to live on his own to get away from life. With his sister and father dead from the wars as they fought in, he tried to continue life and tried not to let it get in his way. It may seem that way but with his whole life planned out, it may not seem to be. He had been rejected from all universities within the nation despite being top of his class, which is very unusual because even local colleges rejected him. It was as if he was banned to go to any of those places but uknowingly why. As he ranted, and relieved stress on the school rooftop, he had received an email from an anonymous source saying that he was accepted into some academy, which he had never heard of before. With events that lead up to his mysterious encounter with people who are there to take him, it may be quite a ride. Cover art made in Adobe Spark.
