"Ahr, Yes, thank you." Kael's voice was still rough and weak. Thankfully, drinking gave him a little time to collect himself. He still felt slightly awkward about his staring when the cup was moved away again but quickly shoved those feelings into the cage where he kept his emotions. "You are... Sarah, right? Are you the reason I am still alive?" She nodded, placing the cup back on the table next to his bed. "Mhm, that's right. Though, you kind of saved yourself, if I am being honest. Pretty sure I would have died if it wasn't for your help. How could I let you die after all of that?" - "Haha, not sure how much help I actually was, but I guess distracting the Thrizon and Jason from time to time was somewhat helpful." Her smile grew a little stiff at the mention of Jason and the monster, but she caught herself quickly, returning to her warm demeanor. "You did quite a bit more than just distract them, but that discussion can wait, I think. You must have questions, go ahead and ask. I will try to answer you as best as I can." - "What happened after I passed out? How did I get to wherever this is?"
The story that followed sounded crazy. After smacking Jason over the head with a long metal stick, the boy lost consciousness and was now kept in some secure ward of the central hospital. Kael could only shake his head at his resilience, magical or otherwise. The Thrizon had apparently been losing energy from the moment it appeared and only managed to sustain itself through its connection to Jason. The cube was some kind of conduit apparently. "And so, after you knocked him out, the fight was basically over. The Thrizon returned to the cube, and I rushed to your side, trying to help. When I saw the state of your injuries, there was not much I could do. You were losing too much blood. So I did the only thing I could think of, I froze the wound while your body did the rest."

She told him that he survived primarily because of his physical talent. Even unconscious, his body would naturally cycle mana, supplementing his mundane regenerative capabilities with magic. That was also how he could fight for that long in the first place. After that, she had called her family. Apparently, he was not in a hospital at all. The room he was in was part of her family's mansion, and the operation had been performed by her uncle. The uncle, a renowned surgeon and mage, had stitched him back together about a week ago. Since then, Kael had been resting here. When he asked about his faint memories of someone taking care of him, she blushed a little, confirming Kael's suspicions. The blush looked good on her. He thanked her again for her help, only for the blush to deepen a little.
"Anyway! That is how you ended up here. Are you ok with me asking a few questions?" Exhaustion was catching up to him by the minute, but he could not really deny her, could he? She had been very open and forthcoming. How could he not reciprocate? "Sure, go ahead. Do keep in mind that my magical knowledge is very limited." - "That is no problem." Her smile, when she spoke, was dazzling. She then produced a pen and writing pad from somewhere and got ready. "Let's start with the basics then. My name is Sarah Junge, what is yours?" - "Kael Barkley" - "How old are you? Is there some family you want us to inform?" - "15, I think," - "You think? You don't know your age?" - "No, I do know how old I am, but my birthday may have passed while I was unconscious." - "Oh! Wait, let me..." She pulled out a sleek metallic smartphone from somewhere below his vision and unlocked it. A few moments later, Kael went from 15 years of age to 16. Nightmares as a birthday present is a new low, he thought with no small amount of sarcasm. "Happy belated birthday, Kael." - "Ah, thank you." Their exchange was awkward, and he was happy when she quickly returned to asking questions.

While they started with relatively easy questions, they soon entered into a territory that Kael was uncomfortable with. When she had asked if there was anyone he wanted to contact he came close to mentioning Barbara. That alone came so far out of left field that it threw him for a loop. Then the questions dove deeper into where he came from, how he knew magic, why he was there, in the streets, and why he decided to step in. Maybe it was her soft voice, reaching him without a trace of judgment. Maybe it was her pretty face and caring attitude. Maybe it was the influence of what he had experienced while unconscious. Regardless, whatever it was, it broke all of his mental barriers. What was the worst that could happen, right? "Haaa, your questions are hard to answer without context. If you have time, why don't I tell you the story from the beginning?
And so he spoke. From the time his parents had been declared missing to his shameful escape from the only place that had accepted him for who he was.

Second Life's Game: Hell
(LitRPG/Fantasy) *** Disclaimer: I changed the title of this fiction because I realised that religious people may be offended by it. This fiction is purely intended to entertain and is not based upon any religion. *** What comes after death? The Afterlife. A world split into three layers. Heaven, Nexus and Hell. The Afterlife is harsh, cruel, and sometimes downright unfair, with everything based upon luck. A world with a game system, which enables the residents to level up, and gain special attributes. A tower lies in the middle of it all, named the Core, which provides passage to God, who will bestow on you your greatest desires. Unfortunately, to get to God, one must conquer 27 stages and battle against others wishing to meet him too. Ikite, a young teenager, gets killed by a gang of criminals and reawakens in Hell with a different body and life. As his two new personalities meld into one, he becomes an 'Awakener', someone who has their previous life's personality sharing their mind. However, he realises he has no combat perks, a bad class and a peasant's life in Hell, the lowest layer. At first, he decides on a hardworking, yet peaceful life with his mother, but bad luck wouldn' leave him alone. Forced to journey where he doesn't want to journey, will he overcome his obstacles, change his perspectives, and climb the tower? 8 140My Good Friend Murphy
***Disclaimer*** I wrote and am writing this purely for my own amusement. That means that this could have major revisions done to it sporadically, it has more grammar errors than even the most mentally stable grammar nazi could withstand, and will not update at all regularly. This is an ad-hoc fun experimental work with forced motives, plotholes, and static characters. Don't expect too much. That said, this mutated mistake of a short novella follows a ditzy MC who has been transported to a new world with the dubiously useful skills origin and enigma and the obnoxiously imbalanced skill, traveler. If you'd like more incentive to give it a shot, you will never get spoilers about the plot because there isn't one (Actual synopsis coming soon, relative to eternity)
8 119For a Change - A Slice of Life LitRPG
Change is constant. Starting over without your own memories? Connected to some System AI? Probably a pretty big change. Join Monday March as she attempts to deal with these changes and many others in a fantasy future with magic, monsters, AIs, and dating. Notes / Expectations: - About the writing style - Almost always First Person past tense (aside from the prologue), Chapters are short by design. Also, I'm not rushing to the conclusion, it's there, I'm in no hurry. - Genres - Fantasy is the most obvious umbrella, Action, Comedy, Romance, Psychological and everything else that makes a character into a comprehensive person will likely crop up, but won't be the main focus, at least not for hundreds of pages - Tags - Dungeon, Gender Bender (closer to gender themes), Post Apocalyptic and a few others might be a valid fit, but anything that doesn't fit most chapters will be set aside tag wise for now. Possible updates in the future if needed. - Content Warnings - While I want to write this story as accessible and friendly, sometimes a narrative gets messy, and sometimes people are naked, or get hurt either physically or mentally. Best to be prepared. As for cussing, well, our main character will avoid it. - Initial posting schedule is once a week, updates to the schedule will be posted here or in chapter notes.
8 68Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com. This piece of work, after all, is only a first draft and by no means an end product by an amateur (beginner) writer. Mistakes are bound to happen. With that said, I will strive to improve as I write. Feel free to point out errors and inconsistencies as you read. I thank you for your time. Finally, I pledge to not rewrite this novel until the first draft is completed.

8 197The untold story of the first wife
In ancient Times, we have heard about stories of kings who were in polygamous marriages. And certain movies have romanticised their life with second or last wife. But I feel they didn't exactly show the feelings and griefs of a first wife rather they were made villains. So I got a thought why don't I write a story by myself and write what I want to see and show that? So this is my first try in wattpad and tell me your views about the story.#1 in india#3 in Cheating#6 in heartbreak #8 in historicalfiction#7 in betrayal
