《Don't Put All Of Your Short Stories In One Basket》Who's Lucifer 1

It was a cold Saturday evening. They had planned on meeting once again for their weekly dose of non-sense on Joel's house. It was almost a routine by now to meet and share what happened during the week.
Joel had basically a mansion all to himself, since his parents were abroad for work. He lived with his older brother, but he was away all day long and only came back late at night just to sleep. The house consisted in 3 floors, which mainly only the first 2 were used cause the last one was left unknown since his parents moved away. They however never questioned about it till this cursed evening.
Joel was preparing everything, as per usual, and this time he'd been quite quick so he was sitting on the living room all alone waiting for them. For some reason, they were late. Thing that had never happened before. Joel thought that maybe someone has had a problem or something similar, trying to justify his missing friends. They were supposed to meet at 7 o'clock, but it was past that. Joel started to feel anxious so he decided to stand up and look if he can see them from the window. Strangely enough, there were no windows in the second floor, which made things creepier. He had to go down and check for them but as he was walking down the stairs he heard a noise from the floor he just left. Too astounded to understand what was going on, he attempted to find out whether something fell off or what.
Joel never had problems with living alone, since his parents left he has been living on his own without complaining a bit. He got used to this weird lifestyle.
He went back to see what the hell happened, just to see that what he thought had happened, had actually happened. There was a book in the ground. Which is bizarre cause there's no bookshelf in the second floor. He slowly approached the fallen object in all curiousity.

Joel had always been interested in books. Living in its own had restrained him from human interactions cause he doesn't hang out at all, so books were his gateaway from that mansion. They had a huge bookshelf on the first floor, which he had read almost all of the books. He still remembers the day where he read the last book in shelf, he was so happy of the achievement that he immediately called his parents to tell them, but they didn't answer. He however didn't mind that cause he was used to that loneliness. He tried contacting his brother too, but since what he did was unknown, Joel didn't get an asnwer from him either. Nonetheless, he knew the books on his shelf by memory. Knew the exact place and everything. Apart from this one..
The book was on his back, so he started checking it out like that, it was made of some material he couldn't recognize which was very weird, taking in consideration that he has had an infinite of books on his touch. Slowly turning it on the cover, he sees the weird title the book had, and which he didn't understand. It was written "Lucifer". As soon as he saw the title of the book the bell rang. He threw the book and screamed in terror. He waited there paralysed just so after a few seconds he heard some voices.
"Joel, its us. Are you there?" yelled Josh.
Joel felt a huge relief and quickly walked down the stairs to open the door.
"How much more were you gonna make us wait." said Jon.
"It's nice to see you guys, I was getting worried you might not come." said Joel in relief.
"Well, about that. We had some difficulties on the way to here, so we had to extend our arrival. Sorry about that." replied Jon apologetically. "What this smell tho, im really digging it. Did you get some pizza?"

"You already know it" said Joel. "You guys can go straight ahead cause i need to check something here."
"Alright buddy" said the boys.
Joel layed on the sofa to grasp what had just happened just before the guys had come. He was trying so hard to comtemplate from where the book had come from, stressing himself further. He was about to give up and join the rest of them just to be interrupted by Jacob.
"AHH, stop doing that" exclaimed Joel.
"I'm sorry, I noticed that you were looking weird before and came to ask if there's okay" said Jacob.
"Oh, yeah, everything's alright. I was just getting worried about ya'll thats why." tried to explain Joel.
"We're sorry Joel, this won't happen again. Shall we join the rest now?" said Jacob.
"No it won't" whispered Joel instinctively.
"Pardon?" asked Jacob.
"No no, its nothing, lets join them indeed." said Joel half consious.
The rest of the guys had already accommodate themselves and were having discussions about different topics. Since the moment they sat down, Jon and Josh had been debating about who's better with ladies. Jonathan sat quietly in one end eating snacks he had found ready. They were so loud they could be heard from miles away, but good thing they lived on a desolated place, huh? Jacob and Joel finally arrive and find the boys fighting.
"We should've brought girls, there's plenty of rooms here and we'd have had fun" emphasized Jon
"You know no girl will ever accept such request, especially coming from a creep like yourself." replied Josh
"What would you know about girls, when all you do all day long is masturbate to the thought of girls ever approaching you" proudly said Jon.
"Shut up you virgins, you know pretty well that this a guys' meeting, no girl would be allowed to come anyways, so stop blattering about non-sense" intervened Jonathan. "And since Joel is finally here, let's start planning on what to do tonight"
"I brought some cards so we should definitely play some game" said Josh
"What are we? Some old faggots? Who even plays cards anymore. We should rather play hide and seek. replied Jon.
.....
"Okay what's with the looks? We've got a hugeass mansion and its dark, why wouldn't we play some?"
He actually made a fair point, it was only them in the large house which they could do anything. But Joel wasn't paying attention at all. He had blacked out and was thinking about the book. Had they found it already? What's the meaning of it? He had to discuss all of this with his friends. But before he started talking he was interrupted by Jon.
"Wait, now that i remember, why did we never check out the third floor? Wouldn't this be the perfect time to? Since we're also playing and we can find some great places to hide."
"We've had this conversation before, how many times have we told you that the place is off-limits. Even last week you said the exact same thing" said Jacob.
"You're right, but for some reason i can't seem to remember what happened last week." said Jon.
There was a silence.
"I can't remind, either" said Jacob.
"Me neither" joined Josh
"Ditto" continued Jonathan
"Guys, I wanna ask you something important. Have you ever heard about Lucifer?" asked Joel

Helena's Plane
Paul, a bored young man, wakes up in a white room. A young woman tells him he has died, that she is some kind of god who likes videogames and he will be reborn in an RPG-esque world so she and her fellow god-friends can watch him for entertainment.Unfortunately, the goddess forgot to give Paul most of the obligatory, obvious cheat-abilities to make him rush to power in easy mode. Paul embraces his new life full of clichés, perverts, magic, loot and action. And animal girls.18+ !CONTAINS GRAPHIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL CONTENT! (Actual sex is still hard to find, but you will get it. Eventually. Sporadically.) =================Author's note:So, this is my very first novel. It will be poorly written, has a huge info-dump disguised as a first chapter (to be rewritten. At some point in the future. I guess.), and may or may not offend everyone for different reasons. Perhaps you will just find it boring, which would be even worse. The description turned out a bit comedic, but the story isn't overly so.I have a rough idea of where this will be going, but expect some bumps on the road, as well as logic holes, flat characters and a lot of borderline copyright infringements from all the ideas I got reading other works. And did I mention I'm not a native speaker? No? Well, expect some embarrassing grammar and wording choices. The main character is a more or less normal guy, without high morals, martial arts skills or even a desirable goal in life. There is mature content, in terms of violence and sexual content. It won't become a full-blown erotic novel, and it may or may not be your cup of tea when it comes to the type of content.Critics welcome.

Redshirt: The Journey
Freedom and Order. Peace and War. Love and Hate. Hundreds of young children awaken in a damaged world, on the brink of societal collapse, witnessing the birth of an omnipotent system. Their roles are pre-determined, yet the very fabric of reality lie in their hands. The order of the world shapes them, just how they are free to shape the world in their disparate visions. Each choice, each action, each word, has consequences that reach far beyond their perception. Freedom or Order; ashes in the wind, or the gilded chains. Updates at least every Monday, Thursday, and every other Sarturday, (from 26/11/2021). This is primarily a story exploring what it means to be human, using a lens of a hopefully real-feeling fantasy world. This story is not a power fantasy or a traditional Litrpg , while it has elements of these genres, it will focus on how these tropes would influence real people and possibly Redshirt will break some of these tropes along the way. There will be a variety of different characters and perspectives, some you hate, some you love, and some that will frustrate. Just as all people do. I don't believe there will be anything overly traumatic or explicit, but it's better to be safe than sorry. There will be some heavy topics explored, the characters views do not reflect the authors; however, if there is an issue in how I present/understand these issues please do tell me, and I will try my best to rectify it.
