Arcs in MNH some consists on points of view but has of course fewer arcs than the first arc which is the core of the story after the Gen arc next is the Lila Arc which you can bet on it will make the story more complicated as it seems. Hope your enjoying so far the Gen arc consists of 12 or more chapters and the next arc are with 6 or more arcs.

Chapter 6 - Helplessness

Why an anomaly of all things... does the world want to kill me... well lets be positive I might survive as of course its not 100% sure that I will encounter a legend class right? Haha... Well looking at my classmates, everyone is panicking beyond what I expected.

Female Classmate#1: No...nooooo! I don't want to die yet... why of all things an anomaly.

Male Classmate#1: Were all dead... please oh God let me have another chance at life.

Maria: Gen I'm scared... I... we were just having fun just a moment ago why did this happen... then I need to tell you before its too late Gen... I lo...

Coming out of the bus it seems Max was still sluggish as he was sleeping the whole time. Not reading the mood in the surroundings he shouts.

Max: Whats with all the shouting! Shut up! Why are you all crying and shouting like babies.

Suddenly everyone stops and calms down. I guess Max being ignorant of the mood is better. As representative I need to get a hold of the situation.

Gen: (Whispers) Max it is because of an anomaly that everyone is panicking.

Max hearing my word and looking at the surroundings, unable to comprehend the situation suddenly realizes. All the color in his face drained, shaking like a mixer on max hahaha... ahem sorry I just can't help it. Well either way everyone looking at Max's reaction reminded them of the dreadful situation I got to act fast.

Gen: Everyone! Even if it is an anomaly or a natural disaster or both death is not a sure end. A chance to get through this situation can be achieved with teamwork and we have a teacher with us we need to rely on an adult as we are still students but most of all we need to rely on each other. Live on! And sorry for the corny speech and just calm yourselves down your all acting like kids. I mean seriously doing something is better than...

Gordon: Ahem... I think the next parts of what your going to say is not part of your oh so inspiring speech anymore.

Gen: (Embarrassed) Uhm I-I guess. (Whispers) Maria you too I will protect you so calm down.

Maria: Y-yes!

Gen: We are also the leaders of the class right now, if we can't get a hold of ourselves now how will our class?

Maria: I know...

Gen: Well lets all get moving! Find all keys! Stay together and move slowly, if something is amiss don't panic and hide.

Maria: Gen, you really look cool right now.

Gen: Do I?

Quant: I'll help with support. What do I need to do?

Gen: Support with long range skills, you're a magic user right? Also heal the wounded but as much as possible save your heals you can only use it a few times right? (See Paulos' book of spells at chapter 1)

Quant: Yeah... surprised you remembered...

So we started to move with a slightly lose formation so that we will have a free range of escape, just in case as there is a sea of trees on our surroundings we need to use our surrounding to our advantage. The speed types on the front so they could avoid attacks with a higher chance and next in line is the strength type to counter and defense types near the side to prevent surprise attacks and the healers and long range attackers at the back.

Gordon: Hmm... quite good in choosing a formation.

Gen: Well its easier this way.

Quant: What surprises me more is how your so calm in this kind of situation.

Gen: Can't explain it but somehow I got this feeling that the situation now is not as grave as it seems

Max: You're crazy! I will not follow a weakling like you. Those who wants to survive follow me!

Everyone just looks at Max coldly except Maria, Quant, and me just sighs. Frustrated, Max just ran from the group into the black misty sea of trees as his body slowly vanishes as he increase the distance from us.

Gordon: Wait! we need to stay together. Gen I leave everything to you and Maria, I'll follow Max.

Gen: I understand, you can trust us.

Gordon: Thanks, keep everyone safe at all cost.

Teacher Gordon also vanishes into the forest, leaving a heavy responsibility on my shoulders... honestly I'm not so confident about myself. Sensing my unease, Maria reassures me, setting myself straight.

Gen: Lets go and find a way out of here.

Right now we are at the top of the mountain. Remembering the structure of the mountain we walked vigilantly towards where the ground is lower letting us get near the edge of the highest floor. As we got to the edge we tried to circle around as there are 4 sets of stairs each floor leading toward the floor below us, the 4th floor. We found the stairs and were surprised as each step is steeper than we thought as it is our first time seeing these stairs as we were camping at the base of the mountain. We searched by dividing our class into teams to find keys or such in this floor and what we found is 2 chests and 1 box. Inside the chest and box are just a bunch of class 1 consumable artifacts which can only be used once or at least until the content is used up.

Herbal Medicine

Made from a common herb found on land with cold climate. Heals a small amount.

Binds target for an amount of time. Time depends on the strength of the target.

Binds down the target lasting at most 1 min.

We opened the last chest and inside is a... key! It looks like a little metal chair with a protruding cylindrical shape.

After that we moved with the same formation and tactics. What we found so far were few more consumables, 2 keys and some were traps. Luckily no one was gravely injured and with some of the healing consumable our safety is a little more assured.

Reaching the third floor what we found was odd and terrifying. Destroyed trees and scratches everywhere, I have a bad feeling right now. Teacher and well... Max I hope you're safe we'll find you (before IT does). Only IT can affect the surrounding as it is strong enough. Rumor says that there was one time an anomaly was experienced in a building and on the second floor there was a huge hole on the wall. they used it to escape and succeeded but of course to do something like opening a hole in a closed type event is near impossible. Theory states it was the doing of a berserk type legend class random which is the most terrifying as it is unpredictable and kill everything on sight.

Nearing the middle we found teacher Gordon holding Max on the arm trying to stop him from escaping again. How much trouble can he cause!? Well I'm relieved we found them. Looking at the side I saw a white figure and noticing my gaze disappears. I hope it isn't what I think it is...

Gen: Teacher it isn't safe here, I noticed something move.

Panicking we paced ourselves faster, while scouting we found two chests and 2 boxes. 3 of them were the usual and one was surprisingly an artifact.

Spectacle of Farsight

Class 3 Artifact

Made of special glass that links to the eyes and enhances one's vision and targeting capabilities. It can also see magic residues and lessens the effects of illusions.

Max: It should belong to me only I can wield something such as this.

Gen: No it should go to someone with a long range capability.

Max: Who gave you the right to choose?

Gen: The principal.

Max: Just hand it over!

Male Classmate#12: Thanks!

Ignoring the red, angry faced Max, I gave the artifact to a classmate the uses magic as I already have targeting capabilities thanks to Silvia I don't need it. We continued our way until we got to the 2nd floor. We found the sea of trees cut down and were still fresh. How do we know it was done just recently you asked well we heard another tree fall down not far from our position.

Gen: (Announces Carefully) Everyone lets go the other way.

Everyone in unison: (trembling) Agreed...

As we head towards the opposite direction we felt something was moving closer at a breakneck pace. It was too late we can't escape from it. It already noticed us and judging from its speed it was as fast or at least faster than the principal. As it stop suddenly in front of us a boom resounded, releasing a powerful wave which sent us flying. I somehow landed easily which is a miracle and a few classmates rammed into trees were unconscious again my streak of being conscious was broken yet again, and it was not me who lost consciousness but now is not the time for a celebration. The teacher also rammed into a tree but is still conscious, Maria, Quant, Max, me and a few classmates are still standing. We have no choice but to fight.

Gen: Protect the people that lost consciousness at all cost.

We noticed the perpetrator and was shocked in front of us is a slightly injured and quite beautiful girl near our age. She has long silver hair reaching her waist, wearing a black and gold dress with a few metal pieces at the chest and shoulder areas with a slightly metallic pair of boots, a very well proportionate body, pale smooth skin and a pair of blue eyes that is illuminated despite the lack of light. Truly a stunning beauty indeed.

Max: (Blushes) Well hello there beautiful miss you need to get out of here its dangerous and don't worry we'll escort you.

Male students in unison: Yeah come with us.

Said Max as he disgustingly as him and all the males looks at her with lust in their eyes.The females were rather uncomfortable with the reactions of the males and were obviously envious of the girl. Wait... I almost forgot due to the situation, where did that shockwave came from? Don't tell me...

Gen: Everyone get away from her!

Males in unison: Stop interfering! You're just jealous, you already have Maria deal with it.

Maria: (blushes) Wha... I don't know what you're all talking about!

Gen: Its not that! Are you all stupid, can't you remember what just happened!? That girl is the legend class!!!

After pondering for a moment everybody realized the situation. All their faces went pale and retreated quickly, drawing their weapons. The girl just stood there still, looking at us coldly with caution in her eyes. I'm surprised it haven't attacked us yet, maybe its just wary and carefully assessing each one of us. After looking over at us she stop her gaze at the teacher and walked towards him and drew her long sword from its sheathe on her back.

Not good she might have sensed that teacher Gordon is the most powerful in our group and tried to eliminate him first. As she drew her blade upwards I bit my lips in frustration on how helpless we are in our situation. How can we escape death. I hope the principal was here... maybe he could do something about it... Suddenly a flash of white moved through the field towards the girl. As she sensed danger, she suddenly moved her sword to the side and what we saw was the principal!

Tyson: You're wish is granted brat hahaha!!

Ben: Hello everyone sorry were late.

Wish?... ah mind reading. In front is the principal wielding a large sword clashing with the girls long sword and the vice principal wielding a large 2 handed projectile type artifact that looks like a mechanical cannon with a pair of handles at each side.

Gen: Principal Tyson! Vice principal! what took you so long...

Ben: My name is Ben as I forgot to tell you on our last meeting and well... we were observing you all at a distance trying to observe how you all act on a dire situation and you all pass with flying colors but now is not the time.

Gen: Then principal... are you the one that injured it?

Tyson: No... I just got here.

Then where did it's injuries come from. Is there a chance that two legend classes are at the area?

Tyson: No... its possible but a random has a connection to each other, even if it is a legend class it does not just fight with others of its kind well except with berserk and soulless types which just attacks everything on sight, which is unlikely because the whole forest would have been in ruins by now.

Gen: Then who did?

Ben: A mystery indeed...

As sparks flew from the clashing weapons the girl withdrew her sword and slashed toward the principal's neck but was parried successfully.

Tyson: Arcane Seal! Divine holy light!

Girl: Nullify...

The girl said with a beautiful low voice canceling the effects of both skills.

Tyson: How!?

Shocked, Tyson showed an opening. Not letting the chance slip by, the girl rushed at him and slashed at a speed where my eyes can't follow. The vice principal, sensing the intent, fired his cannon as a thick beam of lightning pulsated through the air, roaring towards the girl. The girl jumps and evades, spinning her body on the air and landed gracefully. Thanking him, the principal continues with his tyrannical slashes and combos as the girl easily parries it without breaking a sweat. The principal cursing his inability to kill the random snaps with anger.

Tyson: You leave me no choice and don't butt in this is my prey! Destruction Force! Sight of Evil!

As the principal shouts he looked towards the left and as do I. I saw the white figure again and it disappeared. Covered in an aura of black, the principal was getting visibly stronger. He slashes at the girl, as she parries it, she was obviously having a hard time following his movements.

Girl: Overpower...

As the girl said this. She was enveloped on the same black aura of the principal's only more dense...

Tyson: It can't be... it has the exact same feeling as destruction force!? What the heck did you do...

Ben: Principal! Electro field!

Electricity covered everything on an extremely wide scale on the field. The weird thing is no pain is visible from anyone... somehow I even felt faster. Ben looked at us saying:

Ben: Its a support skill for allies as well as a debuff for opponents.

Gen: Amazing! a dual effect skill that affects both sides...

Ben: Terror Blast!

A large meteor like object was heading at the girl with a decent speed. As it got closer the girls sword suddenly glowed cutting the meteor into 8 pieces.

Girl: Lightwave Slashes...

She was indeed too powerful. Again helplessness filled our emotions. We can't escape and we can't fight back. Even the principal is in frustration on how bleak everything is. Maria starts crying. Quant and Max's face went dark.

Silvia: (Master... please don't give up just yet...)

Gen: (But... Huh..?)

In front of me was the girl wearing a shocked expression, as well as the principal and vice principal, while all of them were shouting my name in worry. Trembling... I backed away slowly only to be followed by the random. Is this the end... In my surprised she took my bow in intrigue.

Girl: It can talk? Can you hear me?

Silvia: (Y-yes I can hear you... can you hear me?)

Delight took over the expression of the girl.

Girl: Do you have a name?

Silvia: (Silvia... do you?)

Luna: Luna...

Silvia: (What a wonderful name.)

After their exchange she approached me again giving me back my bow.

Gen: U-uhm thank you...

Seeing the beauty up close was breathtaking and I see Maria pouting at my reaction

Luna: That is a good weapon it will grow strong...

Gen: Thanks...

Luna: I have decided... I will come with you humans and observe, I'm quite curious upon meeting you all. All the humans I've met recently are all weak and there is a white monster in the forest. It is a waste for you all to be killed here...

All in unison: WWWHHHAAAATTT!!!????

Tyson: No wa...

Ben: Shhh!! Its better this way and this is the first time I met a legend class random upfront and it is safer this way.

Tyson: Can it really come with us? Won't randoms disappear after the event?

Ben: It is said that a legend class can easily move between dimensions so it might be possible.

Tyson: How can I explain this to the others... and won't there be a mass panic?

Ben: Just tell everyone she's an exchange student.

Tyson: Won't it become suspicious?

Ben: Not at all, as we are just starting the semester it isn't weird for late enrollments.

Tyson: I see you're point but...

Luna: Don't worry human, I will not kill anyone who is not hostile. You have my word.

Tyson: How can I believe you...

Luna: You're all alive aren't you? I could have just used this after all...

On her palm was a pulsating ball energy so strong it distorts the space around us.

Ben: Unbelievable... I can feel an energy so strong it could wipe out a country or two... maybe stronger... what is that!?

Luna: An ability I can use once per month called Super Nova.

Tyson: ...Okay I believe you...

Luna: Thank you and you, the boy with the bow...

Gen: Yes?

Luna: I will need to rest for some time I need to mend my injury as it seems I can't heal it with anything, only relying on my natural healing rate as it seems it is the only thing that can mend my wound on my shoulder. Lend me your home.

Maria: Ehh!? No!

Gen: Its okay Maria she is just a random.

Maria: I know but... (murmurs) she is still a girl...

Tyson: I guess that's that lets go I'm so tired...

Ben: You mean lazy.

Tyson: (Glares)

Ben: You do know I was just pulling your leg.

We gathered the unconscious and search the remaining floors for the keys and the randoms so far have been easy picking especially with Luna on board most of all how will I explain all of this to grandpa... Oh and what is it about that white figure?

Tyson: Oh that? It is "something" amazing.

Gen: Something amazing?

Tyson: Yeah... more amazing than that miss there.

Gen: Is it that amazing?

Upon reaching the final floor we see the door and opened it with the keys. Finally its over I can finally... Upon relief me, Maria, Max, Quant and all the remaining classmates collapsed and lost consciousness as we fell asleep after realizing what we have gone through... well we just got out of a life and death situation what do you expect. I guess my streak is over...

Tyson: Haahh... What can we do with these brats.

Ben: Well they still show promise and after all so much happened that even I can't keep up with the situation... I mean a legend class joining our school? Who could have predicted that besides HER?

Tyson: I can...

Ben: Well, only seconds before she said those thing but never at the start.

Tyson: I know, I know I'm just kidding around.

Ben: Well lets see... things will surely become more interesting with these youths here.

Tyson: More like troublesome...

Ben: Don't lie... you're warming up to them.

Tyson: I don't know what you're talking about...

Luna: What is that yellow metallic thing?

Ben: That miss is a bus and with it we are heading back to school.

Luna: A bus... hmm I can guess it is a vehicle of some sort like carriages. What is school?

Tyson: It is a place where we are headed. Where these brats are taught.

Ben: Education and survival is after all essential to everyone.

Luna: Hmm... I agree then let me attend this school...

Ben: Don't worry it will be taken care of and are you sure you want to stay with the boy?

Luna: Yes, as I sense a great potential within him and it is beneficial for me.

Ben: How is he beneficial to you?

Luna: That sir is a secret.

As we were practically throw in the bus by the principal. We head back to Zeywan not knowing the unfolding events that will lead to changes to different worlds.
