Before arriving at the training yard, he grabbed two wooden sword. Arriving at the yard, he could see ned teaching john a few move. Today timeline was a few days before them to find those baby wolfs.

When ned felt something behind him, he turned around a then saw Gabriel staring at hem with two wooden sword. What surprised him was that he didn’t heard Gabriel’s footsteps, even though he knew Gabriel was a genius but this was too much for a 15 year old boy.

“hi father, hi jon”

“hey baby brother”

“Gabriel do want a spar?”

“yes father! But I want you to come at me with full power, although I wanted to this with real swords but I knew you won’t agree”

“what? You want father to fight with you seriously?”

“yup”

Both ned and jon were surprised by Gabriel, even though ned wasn’t the best, but he was a veteran swordsman and had fought many battles.

“Gabriel! You didn’t come spar with me!”

Arriving before the were arya followed with Catelyn and sansa .

Catelyn frowned before telling arya:”arya, what did I told you?”

“oh, sorry mom”

“what are you girls doing here?”

Ned asked with a calm face.

“me and girls were just taking a stroll. What are you doing?”

“well, Gabriel wants to have apar with me. But he me to go all out”

Ned answered Catelyn with a smile. And Catelyn and her daughters looked at Gabriel with a surprised face before ned say with a serious face, “ok, all of you stand back and give us some space”

Knowing what was about to happen, all of them stood back and watched the two with interest.

“Gabriel, ready when you are”

“I’m ready father but please don’t hold back”

After saying this sentence he jumped forward a swung his sword vertically at the same time with a surprising speed. Ned’s eyes open wide at the sudden attack and couldn’t move side ways to dodge the attack so he lifted his sword to block Gabriel. After their sword collided, ned quickly went back two meter before looking at Gabriel with a serious face.

“I knew you had talent but not to this degree, it seems I need to go all out as you said before, but know this that no matter the outcome, I’m proud of you”

After finishing his sentence, he moved toward Gabriel with his guard up while looking at Gabriel looking for opening.

“well, now I can go all out too”

Ned’s eye grew wider by those words]

Even the others were surprised by Gabriel’s combat skills, but before they could think about the words that Gabriel just spoke, he arrived before ned quickly, wanted to defend but Gabriel was too fast and hit him with the hilt of the wooden sword to his abdomen.

“father!”

While john and Catelyn were still in shock, the girls shouted for their father with a worried face.

“little brother, when did you get this good?”

Arriving because of the commission ned’s other boys.

“haha, father taught me all he knew”

“hahah, son don’t be modest, you really surprised me today”

“father don’t say you that, you were still holding back at me”

“haha, ok, ready for round two?”

“yes father”

The again started to clash but this time ned was going all out!

“is that…really our little brother?”

Robb said with a shocked expression

“brother is really a genius!”arya said while other nodded in agreement.

Even the soldiers and other workers were shocked and were looking at the match with excitement.

“it seems the house stark will rise again!”

The soldiers knew about Eddard stark’s strength, so they knew how strong Gabriel is by keeping up with ned.

The spar was reaching it’s end, the only reason that Gabriel couldn’t finish it sooner was because of the lack of experience. Ned was breathing heavily and because of the cold, he face didn’t had any drop of sweat. Gabriel was flustered because of how hard it was to land a hit and happy at the same time because using his observation haki, dodging and blocking the attack were easy for him.

‘even this move is hard with this sword but I think it will work’

Gabriel stood In drawn sword stance, ready for ned approaching him.

‘what is that weird stance?wait…his eyes…’

Ned thought while approaching Gabriel very slowly due his weird stance.

“hey brother what is that stance?why is his eyes closed?”

Arya asked jon without looking away from the fight.

“i…idont know, I never saw anything like this before!”

“hey ren, what is young master doing? look! Even his eyes are closed!”

“I don’t know, some kind of stance perhaps?”

Even the soldiers were thinking about the stance that Gabriel took.

‘another step and he will be within my range’

Gabriel was waiting patiently for ned, when ned got closer, he swung his sword very fast vertically with all the strength he muster.

Gabriel suddenly opened his eyes before shouting:

“Battōjutsu”

Suddenly he swung his sword horizontally with a flashing speed, so fast that many of the spectators didn’t even saw a blur, even though that it’s speed and strength were dramatically reduced due to not being a katana and a real sword and the lack of sheath.

Everyone were quite and no one spoke as they couldn’t believe their eyes

Ned were standing still with a wooden sword at his neck and his own sword splitting in two by Gabriel.

And then ned broke the silence.

“impossible, what was that move? I never taught you something like this!”

He was so shocked that even forgot to lower his broken sword.

“this is something that I invented myself although this was not it’s full power and potential”

Gabriel said while retracing his sword. Suddenly his eyes grow wider with a happy expression.
