《Rising of the Battlecook》Hills of our Cosmos

Long ago, before the age of men, our planet was roamed the elders: massive living mountains capable of shaping the world as they pleased. To us, they're known as parents, the creator of all titankind.
But where did they come from and where did they go?
At the dawn of times when the first star and its neighbouring planets became part of this world, the creators shaped the lands. They were a storming force, capable of creating life and destroying realities with just a thought.
After the filling the nothingness with light and shadows, they touched the lands and told them 'shape the earth as your own'. With this final message, the creators ceased communication. Whether they abandoned our cosmos or became one with space was unknown, even to the elders.
They roamed the earth, raising mountains where they went and leaving canyons where they came from. They shaped the earth to their own image, like a mother shapes the person of her child. Geysers, caves, endless forests and miraculous formations rose from barren emptiness. Our parents loved their planet and every second of their life. But as all good things, that wouldn't last long.
After endless days of nature's rule came the four testers. They were the gods of water, earth, fire and air. Unlike elders, they had not the ability to shape planets, but to control their respective elements with before unseen precisions.
The first to strike was the water god. She brought tsunamis to land and washed away the formations titans raised through the ages.
Second came the earth god who shook the planets, cracking the valleys and sinking oceans underground.
Third came the fire. He went from planet to planet and turned the forests to ash and mountains to cold cobalt.
Forth came the god air. His tornadoes were so powerful, it swooped the planets into one whirlwind and launched at the others.

Devastated by the unforeseen assault, the elders were broken to core. Their faith wavered in the creators. Why would their makers not interfere with the catastrophic attacks? Why wouldn't they put a stop to these destroyers?
The few elders left unharmed lost hope in this world. They took root in the ash and dust. Most of them closed their eyes and gave up on their sentience.
But not all of them.
A few elders with tiny drips of hope in their heart spoke out to the stones:
'I came from earth and gave you life. I caressed you like a mother caresses her child. It's your time to do the same. Rise and remember where you came.'
To us, that was the beginning of time. The land we call our home, the walls and floor and ceiling and doors, all there is and ever was is the corpse of our parents.
These lands, the lands of Titannica are not sacred just as our home, but as the epitaph of our own.
The ones that came and took our land shall know power titans have.
We'll take back this grave or die with it.
For all there were was ash and dust, may the future know what elders had.

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)
