"Henry, when will this stop? This is more tiring than digging! We're pushing masses of junk around with no end in sight!"
"Be thankful you're not shuffling plastic around! The darn job means rear-ending yourself on the ground and bending over to pick out plastic! Darn back will break in no time!"
"But you can't simply say that because there's something worse that we're not suffering!"
"Relatively yes! We're in the best job right now!"
"There's still being a scavenger!"
"As if! There's no hope in becoming one!"
"Pssst"
"Hey Henry what's that noise?
"You mean the air whistling through the tunnels?"
"Pssst! Hey! You interested in becoming a scavenger?"
"What do you mean by interested?"
"Yeah, you interested? We can do that for you! But you've gotta do something for us… You interested?"
"Don't answer him!"
"Where are you?"
"All ya gotta do is knock that fool on his head a bit! Make sure you do it well though."
"Hey, uh let's catch up to the rest of the line right now, wouldn't be good if we were caught slacking!"
"Just do it! Shut him up!"
"Hey, now you wouldn't do that to me right?"
"Henry, I hope you understand why I had to do this."
"Cain! No please! Ahhh-"
"Good, good, now eat him!"
"What? Why?"
"Do it!"
"Uh… forgive me, Henry…"
"Try to dig a hole and hide yourself first"
The walls themselves fell apart and the dirt rolled themselves down the tunnel. Both bodies slowly retreated into the hole that was just dug.
"Good, good, try to hurry up on the eating."
The body of the limp mole shuddered as the neck snapped and soon blood began dripping out. A damp mouth drew itself closer to the body and a tongue dripping with saliva caught the blood spurting out from the body.

Soon the blood stopped flowing out and pieces of flesh were torn away by triangular teeth and disappeared into the mouth of the murderer. A piece of bone exposed itself after some work and paws which were tipped with long claws stabbed themselves into the resistant flesh and tugged at the bone. But when the bone refused to budge, the claws drew themselves back and the teeth went back to ripping away flesh. Eventually, the end of the bone exposed itself and the claws went back at it again, prying out the bone.
The end of the bone made its way free, but the other end sprung the bone back, smacking it into the flesh and sending out a mist of still-warm blood right into the eyes, nose, and skin of the offending mole.
The frustrated mole stuck its nose right into the middle of the carcass, fitting its jaws over the barely protruding bone and snapping it. The gelatinous marrow within dripped out and the mole scrambled to fit its lips over the leaking nutrients.
After consuming the bone, the mole sat back for a moment, looking at what he had done.
Then he dived right back in, repeating the gruesome moments over and over again as the walls of dirt brown were painted red as each dive in caused more blood to mist out against the walls.
And all that remained of Henry were stains of blood.
"So, when do I become a scavenger?"
"Hah! You think this is enough? You need to accumulate more and more energy! You're barely above the bottom of the food chain! You need to be able to kill a guard first!"
"Now I can't do that! They're simply too big and too powerful! You couldn't possibly tell me to do that now could you!?"

"Perfect, here's what you need to do. You need to kill several more! Accumulate more and more energy until you can kill a guard!"
"Fine, but who are you even?"
"I'm the devil… Hah! Now press yourself to the tunnel! Do you hear?"
"I hear footsteps if that's what you mean. What about them?"
"Wait till they fade away a bit and dig your self out. Should be about… just wait a bit longer… now! Go go go!"
A spray of dirt came from the wall as the body burst through the dirt walls and immediately turned to grab the last mole in line.
"Hey! What are you doing! Get off of me!"
The bloodshot eyes were exposed to another mole once again and as the front claws grabbed the head of the unassuming mole and twisted counter-clockwise, the body went limp once again.
The rest of the moles went about marching on, ignoring the last mole who had turned to confront a murderous mole. The dead mole was dragged into the hole and devoured in a similar manner.
"Hey, do you feel a warm energy in you?"
"I do feel slightly warm, yes!"
"Good, good…"
"What is it?"
"Just your body trapping radiation…"
"Radiation! Sounds bad! What is it?"
"It's a type of energy I suppose. Not important for you to know at all… Just continue eating…"
"Does every being contain this energy?"
"Well… no. Animals that have this energy have definitely consumed some of that sludge! Everybody wants it! That's why you want to kill and eat everyone who has energy!"
"Well where did the energy come from then? It couldn't have just popped out of nowhere!"
"Ah, doesn't your bible say something about this? Ah yes! God! God made this energy!"
"Didn't god also say to not kill?"
"Ah well, killing is one of the essentials of life! How else do you solve disputes! Simply can't be done!"
"You… You… You couldn't be right?"
"What am I?"
"You're not satan are you?"
"Who knows? Just a thing I suppose. I grant wishes but you give me your soul! Heheheh."
"Give you my soul? I feel fine!"
"Don't worry, I'll have it when your wish comes true… Heh. But look, you need to change position don't you? Would be awfully suspicious if the dirt here smelled like blood don't you think?"
"Well where else would I go?"
"I don't know… Maybe the nursery? They give out small bits of energy to little children… Keeps them working much longer! Repairs the small little things that cause them to break down early…"
"Which way is that?"
"Just this way…"

The New God’s Representative
I was given a one-a-trillion chance opportunity to reincarnate into a fantasy world by a god. The actual chances are probably even lower — I mean, how would you even calculate the chances of being in my frankly ridiculous situation? In any case, the deal we made seemed pretty good; at least hope so, seeing as I’ve forgotten most of it along with the memories of my past life. Now, I’m a baby bird monster in a world with magic. I can see my Status as if I were an RPG character. And running with the RPG theme, my main Quest in this world is to become its strongest entity or titular God. I have a couple thousand years to do it or else the laws of reality itself will erase my existence. But, hey. That’s exactly what I signed up for, right?

Necromage
Dan is your average worker who managed to get his hands on the a VR helmet for the newest game, Eternium. He finds himself in way over his head as everything is deadly down to the smallest Rabbit. Join Dan in his adventures through this fantasy world! This is an offshoot to my other series, Bunnymancer. This story will focus on what if Dan went down a different path and became a Necromancer instead of a Bunnymancer. The story will be a little darker and the first six chapters will be the same. Past that though we will get into a new plotline, though if you've already read through bunnymancer I would suggest starting at chapter 7 when reading through this. This is a book within the Completionist Chronicles Universe. I was given permission to make this as long as I did not publish it as an official Mountain Dale Press work or sell it for money.
