Chapter 5 - Returning!Years Later!
Jian Yun and the others quickly got up after twenty minutes.they had eaten the beast of the second layer.Beasts unlike humans had different realms, but the humans only called them in numbers, from one to ten, each for a layer. As for the second realm, they called them second grade.
They weren’t in a hurry this time. They slowly returned to their home, the Heaven Sword City. The capital of the Jian Clan.Actually the Jian Clan could only be said to be a lower tier clan before, but now it was a middle tier clan. The whole one hundred million kilometers around the Jian Clan formed a high tier clan territory. But unfortunately nobody had even united everyone since ten thousand years ago.
Jian Yun smiled at Jian Wei.She was still thinking that he was angry at her.”I don’t hate you,Senior sister.”He sighed before telling her and then proceeding to go to his home, where his father was waiting for him.
He sighed when he saw him.”Father…”He muttered slowly. It wasn’t that he hated him or anything, but his father’s face now was calm and a bit cold.”Where were you?”He asked.”Training with uncle Feng.”Jian Yun replied calmly.
“Is that so?Where did you meet him?”Jian Lang asked him.”At a small hut far away from our house,in the forest close to a lake.”He replied calmly.”Is that so?You are free to return to your room.”Before going to his room he looked at the window.
His hair was white and a bit gray and red eyes.He had gotten these from his mother and father. He had delicate skin and refined eyebrows. He was a bit tall for his age.He went to his room and sat cross-legged.
***
Two years had passed. Now almost every person of the young generation had started to cultivate.Jian Yun had entered the fifth layer, unfortunately without even wanting to.But even so he would anyway be able to easily defeat any person in the fifth layer. After him the strongest person was Jian Chen,at the third layer. The next one was at the pinnacle of the Second Layer.

Jian Yun was given the title of the Ultimate Genius. But he had concealed his cultivation and it only revealed that he was at the fourth Layer.Jian Wei was at the pinnacle of the second layer, and was extremely close to the third layer.
Jian Chen was the son of a Grand Elder and another Grand Elder. In total there are eight Grand Elders and seventy two Elders. He was somehow very calm and not arrogant, unlike the typcal geniuses.
He was almost ten and was very handsome, just like a prince. In a way he was a prince. If we sent a True Member of the clan into a kingdom,he would be worshiped like a god.Especially in mortal kingdoms.
As Jian Yun was going to go into seclusion to cultivate,he saw a boy heading this way.He had short charming red hair and charming aqua eyes. His skin was as delicate as a woman’s.He was also a bit clumsy, almost falling every twenty steps.
“Brother Yun!”He waved his hand and called for Jian Yun who raised an eyebrow.”Planning to go in seclusion?!”He shouted.”Can I join you?”He asked and Jian Yun nodded,he didn’t see a reason to not accept.he had to keep good relationships with the young generation.
Jian Chen nodded. They entered a small Immortal Cave.Immortal Caves were rich essence caves where there was enough Qi to breakthrough layers and layers. But they were rare, and only the Grand Elders possessed them.Of course there were a few reserved for the young generation. In total there were around fifteen to twenty.
They both sat around ten meters away from each other and sat cross-legged.Immediately Qi started to enter their bodies slowly. There were two processes Qi had to pass to enter their bodies:Absorbing and Refining.
Of course because Jian Yun’s talent was better than Jian Chen’s he got more Qi and absorbed even more.He planned to cultivate for one to three months.
***
Two months had passed since the two boys had entered seclusion.Four Martial Fighters were heavily guarding them, and two Martial Artists, were also guarding them. Thus no enemy dared to enter the cave.
In two months Jian Chen broke through to the fourth layer while Jian Yun to the pinnacle of the fifth layer, and almost at the sixth. If he wanted he could easily enter the sixth layer in a blink of an eye.

But he couldn’t cultivate for every moment. After all a Cultivator’s life was big.Even now,his lifespan was over 150 years.A normal mortal barely lived over ninety to one hundred and mostly eighty or seventy years before dying.
Jian Yun stood up to his feet.He was covered in dust.He wiped the dust and stretched his hands and arms. They felt itchy. After all he hadn’t moved for two months. His stomach growled. Thanks to Qi and seclusion, which was close to a bear’s sleep in winter food need was lowered.
Jian Yun clapped his hands and suddenly a wave of food came.It was the four Martial Fighters bringing food.”Brother Yun ?”Jian Chen had also woken up.He looked at Jian Yun and called him.”Come and eat.”He said calmly calling him to eat.He nodded and slowly got up walking towards Jian Yun.
He sat cross-legged and ate politely.Although he was a bit older than Jian Yun,he felt like he was the junior.”Brother Yun,can we spar later?”He asked excitedly. He had always wanted to fight Jian Yun,ever since he heard of his talent and power at a young age.
“Of course, but later…”Jian Yun replied calmly as he swallowed a part of meat.He was not in a hurry. They had months and months.Besides, what could he do other than train?Fall in love?Him?Never.
Then a person neared them”Young Master Yun,Prince Chen,The Patriarch is awaiting for you two.”He said politely. He was a Martial Fighter.Jian Yun and Jian Chen nodded.Although there were at least five hundred Martial Fighters in the clan, they still had to be polite to him as he was stronger than them, and at most they could defeat a seventh layer Martial Refiner together.
They politely followed him, they,or at least Jian Yun could sense three more figures behind, three more Martial Fighters. They were walking in a road with good stones, strong enough for only fourth layer Martial Refiners to be able to destroy.
They stopped when they reached a gorgeous castle of red and black. It was at least two hundred meters tall and surpassed the clouds, reaching the ends of the blue sky, though not in reality. Two guards of the Martial Ki Refining Realm were guarding.
The trio easily entered the castle and headed towards the gate, which was closed. They entered and went straight to the tenth floor. They entered a big room.JIan Lang, the patriarch was waiting for them.He wore a dark long sleeves robe and was calmly drinking tea.
“You came…”He said calmly as he took the tea to his mouth and drank it a bit.Jian Chen and Yun cupped their fists and bowed to him, after all he was the patriarch, the one who ruled over millions of Jian Clan Members.
“I called you guys to complete a mission.I want you to go to a tribe called,”BlackStone” and collect their monthly taxes,as they haven’t paid them for around five months by now.”He said.If he wanted other people could easily take care of this, but he gave it to the two because he wanted them to get fighting experiences.
The two nodded. With their abilities a simply tribe could be easily dealt with.Tribes under their clan’s protection were usually weak with not even a fifth layer Martial Refiner as the chef. The Blackstone Tribe had a sixth layer Martial Refiner as a chef, but even so it was nothing for them, especially with Jian Yun almost reaching the sixth layer, but even if he didn’t,the team of him and Jian Chen was enough to deal with him.
“Father,I want to ask you,can we get two Martial Fighter Level Weapons?(Not revealing weapon levels yet)”Jian Yun asked and Jian Lang nodded.”It will be done”He said.Martial Fighter Level Weapons weren’t actually rare enough for the Jian Clan to not possess them,Martial Artist Level Weapons were rare.
Then they left the castle itself…

The Kodoku Game
In Japanese folklore, there once existed an ancient technique among alchemists for harvesting the strongest poison known to man. A poison so vicious, so horrendous, that a single drop could incapacitate an entire nation of humans, several times over. A poison so intense that a single drop could turn the tides of a war on its head. As potent as it appeared however, this poison could be harvested from the blood of a single insect alone- an insect the alchemist’s called the ‘Kodoku’. As lucrative as was attaining this poison however, the problem lied in identifying this insect- its appearance, shape and size changed from region to region and from continent to continent. Sometimes it took the appearance of a ladybug and other times a horned-beetle. In order to determine the identity of this special insect the alchemists came up with an ingenious method. They created an impregnable jar of clay out of the best sandstone they could find and placed hundreds of different insects into the same jar. The jar was made with such great mastery that it allowed no insects to escape and allowed no objects to enter. The laws of nature dictated that the insects would remain together in the jar forever. However, it turned out that as time went on, the insects’ hunger for food and power caused them to turn against each other- one insect ate another until only one remained. This sole insect contained a poison that far surpassed that of all the others and became stronger as it ate more and more insects. The alchemists at this point had succeeded in identifying the Kodoku and could extract it’s poison as long as they continued to feed it regularly. Although this folklore ends here, the actual story does not. One day, as the alchemists cheered in joy of having identified the Kodoku they so eagerly wanted, they forgot to close the lid on the very jar that was considered to be completely impregnable. This small gap was just large enough for the Kodoku inside to crawl out. Famished from not having been fed for weeks, the Kodoku ended up eating the very alchemists that nourished its growth until not even the bones remained. Yet, the Kodoku’s hunger didn’t seem to subside in the slightest. So it traveled to the next village and began eating whatever it could find there. Its poison made it unparalleled in strength and slowly but surely it began to dwindle down the population of the entire city. Yet its hunger only continued to grow. So it traveled to the next city over and ate all it could there. Very soon, the Kodoku couldn’t find any more food to eat. There was no one left to eat and no one left to spectate. So it stood there, by itself pondering what possibly was left to eat that could satiate its hunger. But there was one thing left that Kodoku realized it had never eaten. Itself.
