"Hmm....looks like I need some more health.. and I’m pretty slow....guess I'll put my points between Endurance and Agility." Adding my points brought my health up by 10 and then I decided to adventure into the cave.
You Have Discovered Forsaken Mine
As you are the first to find this dungeon you gain experience 50% faster and you'll receive the best drops from the first kill of each different type of creature within.
Recommended Level: 5-10
"Nice! Looks like I might get a few nice beginner items! But wait...since I'm a wraith...dang. Can't keep them equipped until I have enough mana regeneration to stay corporeal. Well let's get to delving."
Venturing deeper all I could hear was the whistle of the wind and dripping of water as it fell from the stalactites. A few minutes later I notice a shadow run past into the nearby wall and hear snickering.
"Looks like I might get a good fight against another spirit.." I mutter noticing how the shadow has a presence similar to mine.
Happy that I will get a chance at true combat I speed up to a quick floating pace and go further in the mine, admiring the ore deposits until I come to a wooden door. I try to go through but to my surprise I get pushed back a bit. I feel like I can make it through but feel a force fighting against me so I push myself harder and notice my mana decreasing when I suddenly fly through the door and a box pops into my vision.

Skill Gained: Phase
Now you can phase through solid objects! Congratulations on learning something you should already know!
Cost: 10 mana to activate, 5 per second
"Well that's weird..seems that there is some comedy attempts by the system...hmm...well at least I’m through the door. Now to look for some enemies to truly assess my skills!"
I continue to follow the path when I sense an ominous presence filled with despair. Getting closer I notice a shadow standing over a pile of coal then I inspect it.
Miner’s Soul Lv:6
The spirit of a miner that died and was trapped within the mine. Now it continues on doing what little it remembers of it’s work resentfully unless disturbed. Immediately will attack any of dwarven blood in hopes of stealing their body.
"Sweet. Alright |Stealth|" I mutter then try to sneak up on the dwarf. Sadly it senses me and turns around right as I get behind it, hitting me. I release stealth and then start trying to claw it but I only deal minimal damage while it takes a large chunk of my health.
"That's what I get for attacking a few levels higher....crap I'm gonna die at this rate..."
I trade blows with the miner for a few more minutes then getting desperate I use cursed touch and luckily it stuns it. Seeing this I start unloading on it until it reaches 10 health left and frees itself from the stun. Seeing this I decide to try a hunch I had when I saw it and use Soul Devourer.
HP and MP healed by 10. 2 Strength gained. 50 bonus experience gained.
Level Up!
Looking at the loot on the ground I saw a few light blue creds, some ectoplasm, and what appeared to be a interesting ore.

Shadow Iron Ore
An ore occasional dropped by ghost miners that can be forged into a weapon that damages ethereal enemies or can be wielded by them
"If I can grab a few more of these and then find a town they will definitely come in handy." I grin and pocket it, marveling at how strange it is to not have a body yet feel a solid material.
Moving deeper into the mine, coming across a few more spirits, and getting 2 more ores which should be enough, as well as leveling up again, I came across two paths. One was open and the other had a locked door. Thankfully I didn't need the key and just phased through and noticed it was a storage room.
Inside were multiple buckets of ore and some mining tools so I stored a pickaxe in my inventory as I couldn’t hold it then noticed a chest hidden behind some crates. Opening it I find some rations, a few daggers and a rusty copper pendant. Taking it all since it can be sold, I leave and head down the other path which leads to a large iron door which I'm guessing has the boss hidden behind it.
Just before I open the door I get a notice telling me I need to leave the pod and get some exercise or else I will be ejected and blocked for a full day. Deciding I don't want to risk it I log out while making a snide remark about the system’s timing.
A.N. I know this chapter was rather boring. Sorry about that.
Also this chapter made me decide that yes I will add in the occasional slow and non action filled chapter to keep myself refreshed. And I will most likely come back and edit this chapter later to add more descriptive words about his surroundings if I feel it fits him better to be someone who really observes his surroundings.
Oh finally in regards to how he could easily twist off the head of an animal:
1. They are already dead so no blood falls out just rotten fur and black ooze.
2. He is fine with rotting skin etc as he has a weird acceptance of it because of his fetishes as well as previous experiences as a necromancer in other VRMMOs
3. This isn't his first VR game. He used to have a problem with all the gore and such but now he doesn't even notice it.

For hundreds of years the galaxy was kept in order due to the diligent work of The Council, the number one authority in the whole galaxy, and their appointed guardian of the galaxy, The Chosen One. The Chosen One was the face of order and justice in the galaxy and was the head over all the galactic military forces, answering only to The Council themselves. But after a rebel enemy force known as the Doomaki rise to power, they overtake The Chosen One and his military forces, known as The Peacekeepers. One final battle leaves The Peacekeepers outnumbered and The Chosen One is overtaken and presumed dead. Just when it seems the galaxy might fall to the evil reign of the Doomaki, they disappear without a trace. With the thread of the Doomaki gone, the crippled galaxy begins to try and rebuild and find a new Chosen One to lead them and prepare for whatever new threats may come. Tyfoon, the Chosen One's only child, was born during the battle that his father disappeared in, and the ensuing battle left him without a mother as well, dying soon after childbirth. 18 years from that night pass and Tyfoon is ready to follow in his father's footsteps and serve The Council, perhaps to be The Chosen One when he is ready. But this plan is cut short when the Doomaki resurface and threaten everything dear to Tyfoon. Tyfoon must rise up and finish the task his father failed: defeat the Doomaki once and for all.

You always were something else, weren't you? Those eyes, too brown for your own good, and that old jacket that you loved to death - falling apart, but you didn't care.Looking at it now, I suppose it was inevitable. That it would always end up like this - you, in a hospital bed, and me, on the outside.Note: This is a work that has previously been posted on AO3, so if you follow me over there, it might look familiar!
