"Hey Derrick, you ready to play Aurelia tonight?" Asked a young man named Nikolas sitting across from me.

Nikolas here is what you would consider my best friend. We have known each other since about gradeschool and have had each others backs so many times it isn't funny. He grew up same as me, in an influential family with plenty of money. The places we differ is that his father is the CEO of a Russian conglomerate (no I am not joking) and that he spends most of his time physically training. Thus he is the rougher of us two.

"Of course! You think I'm gonna miss my chance at my lifelong dream?! No way!"

"I'd be careful if I were you. Don't let Hana hear you say that or else she will hunt you down ingame. You know how she gets about you."

I feel a cold chill down my back and shudder. It may sound like Hana is my girlfriend with how Nik is mentioning her but she isn't. She is actually my only female friend (sadly not my doing) of one year younger and we used to have the same classes when we were little. Now that's all fine and good up until her personality. First she looks sweet, calm, and intelligent. She would be a cool beauty by all accounts if it wasn't for her slight obsession. See she has it on her head that I belong to her. Yes that I belong to HER and NOONE else. I can see where some guys would like that. Until the point she chases away every single female that gets close to me. She even scared away a few guys that had tendencies towards me. So this game is going to be a sort of escape from her.

"Don't let me hear what exactly Nikolas?"

Oh god..... I glance at Nikolas pleading him to say something else besides what he is about to.

"Oh...um that Derrick here is going to be trying to go the support/tactical route ingame instead of his usual ranged attacker role." (Nikolas)

Thank you Nikolas!!! I knew I could count on you buddy!!!

"Hmm.....I don't see a problem exactly in that....maybe I can be the one protecting you this time!" She grins and I swear I see a evil glint in her eyes as she says that while clapping her hands together probably thinking of overpowering my character.

"Um...yea...~shudder~ ‘Please don't let her pick the same planet as me.....’ "

"Speaking of roles have you decided what races you two will be?" (Hana)

"I'm probably going to go with either the Dwarves, Ronso, or maybe a goblinoid race."

"So basically a muscles for brains route. I should have guessed. What about you Deri?"

"First off I asked you to quit calling me Deri. We aren't in gradeschool anymore. Secondly I'm keeping my race a secret. ‘Last thing I need is you stalking me in the beginning…’ "

"Muuuuu you're no fun! And I like calling you by your nickname....you never call me by mine anymore...anyway I think I'm gonna go with a elf."

So quick overview of classes in Aurelia or at least the ones announced and leaked to the public:

You have your generic Dwarves, Elves, Humans, and Demi Humans. What sets it apart is the amount of subtypes as well as the monster races.

Elves: Wood, Dark, High, Luna, Solai, Snow, Aqua, and the list goes on. Wood starts on a forest planet, Dark on a wastelandish, High on normal, Luna on the moons of planet's revolving around elf planets, Solai on planets close to the sun, Snow on tundra and arctic, Aqua on water based, and that's just a few examples. The weirdest has to be the ones speculated to be on miasma based planets though the developer hasn't released anything stating there will be one.

Dwarves: Mountain, Outsider, Steampunk, and Mana. Mountain dwarves are born in mountains and tend to focus on metalsmithing. Outsiders are generally the merchant style and are used to sell Dwarven goods to other planets and communities, Steampunk dwarves focus more on creating robotic and gear based machines than smithing weaponry and armor and use exosuits, and Mana dwarves are the only ones able to harness magic, yet not at levels of the elves and thus focus more on runic abilities.

Humans: There aren't really too many subtypes of humans. They run more along the type of community that they live in such as Nomadic, Wayfarer, Underground, basically a community for almost any ecosystem which is why they were given the nickname of 'Intergalactic Cockroaches' (Not to be confused with the Space Roach humanoid monster race) by the other races.

Demihumans: These are far too numerous to name. If there is an animal, you can bet there is a demihuman for it. Most carry a trait of the animal they descended from as well as specific professions passed down. The consensus used to be they couldn't use magic besides body strengthenin but now that psionics have become available many have added it to themselves to increase their abilities. The downside being shunned from their original communities.

And finally the monsters. These I will go over later since the list is a bit too long.

"Well then good luck to you. I hear the Elves are pretty strict. Anyway it looks about time to leave so don't forget to send a friend request to us ingame if you can Derrick."

"Eh...too much work. It would be better for you two to send the requests. It'll be to Nortaz as usual."

"I'll never understand why you use such a weird name Deri."

Shaking her head Hana headed back to her seat to grab her stuff as the bell rung. Hearing that sweet jingle I launched myself out my seat and ran towards my car, bumping into a few others on the way out.

After making it back to my apartment I gaze upon the beautiful, sleek, red and black capsule sitting in the middle of the room with a tear in my eye, then quickly grab the holo disk that contains the game and place it in the capsule's slot before

jumping in.

Okay so it took me awhile to think up how exactly to introduce the other two characters as well as races and I hope I did well. As you can probably tell I wanted a brute style character yet I didn't want a total muscle brain so I gave Nikolas some common sense. Also for those who don't know Ronso are a mountain tribe race of horned blue tiger like beastmen warriors

EDIT: Took out the tables and went with Italics and centering instead. Also removed the names in parentheses and decreased space between sentences
