Orange light lit up in the darkness...

Sherlock Holmes and Watson climb the window out of their room into the Fairy Forest to find the source of the strange noise that only Watson can hear. And because they didn't want the school's people to know, they had sneaked out of the school into the forest in the middle of the night. Holmes hadn't yet lit the lamps and followed Watson, who had seen in the dark, into the forest deep enough to light a fire.

"There's nothing particularly strange when you enter," said Holmes, holding his lantern high, gazing his eyes around. "Watson, do you still hear that voice?"

"Yes," Watson nodded. "But still can't figure out the exact origin."

Watson takes a step deep into the forest. Holmes holds the lantern and followed closely behind him. Fortunately, the moon is almost full tonight. Walking in the forest is not very difficult. If it's a dark night, even if there's a lamp, it's probably not okay.

"I can hear the water," Watson said.

And it is true when they walking forward for a while, they saw a small stream wild around 6-7 steps of an adult. Then, as Holmes held his lantern high, he saw a huge rock beneath the water, seem it wasn't very deep.

"The sound is gone," said Watson.

"The sound was slowly quiet until stop. Or was it suddenly stop?" asked Holmes.

"Sudden stop," Watson replied, stepping closer to the stream. Then, staring at the forest on the other side of the stream, and turned to Holmes. "I will cross over to see the other side. You wait here."

Holmes was silent for a moment before nodding his head.

"Okay, but don't go too far. Be careful."

"During my absence, don't go anywhere alone, Holmes," Watson urged. Explore the surrounding area. See that nothing will harm Holmes.

"Don't worry, I'll be right here waiting for you," replied Sherlock Holmes, looking at Watson for a shallow spot. Step into the water and step onto the other side of the soil. Until that silver hair disappeared into the darkness of the night forest.

... the strange noise that only Watson can hear...

The young man ponders the possibilities. That strange sound was heard only by John H. Watson. Or...all Watson dolls can hear. Young man sighing, gaze up at the leaves of the forest swaying in the wind. Think of a solemn face with black hair and dark green eyes staring down.

...Watson...

The sound of water stomping pulled Holmes out of his mind. Watson is back.

"Nothing strange. But I haven't gone deep yet."

"Well, in an unfamiliar place, you have to be careful," said Holmes. "Let's go back to school."

However, Watson furrowed his brows and looked behind Holmes with a severe expression.

"What?"

Holmes turned around but saw nothing but darkness. Just as Watson bent down and picked up the beech leaves. Then he looked up at the tall beech trees that were sprawling. This was where Holmes stood waiting for him.

"What are you doing, Watson?" Holmes asked again.

"When I was away. Someone... or something. Keep an eye on you from the top of the beech tree."

Holmes blinked puzzledly and looked up at the beech tree.

"How do you know? What does that have to do with that leaf?

"Before I go, there isn't this leave on the ground," Watson replied.

Sherlock Holmes was silent, the observant and cautious man like him, but space out until he didn't notice surroundings.

Which, upon hearing Watson's answer, in Holmes' head, a hypothesis emerged...

"Even if the leave is still fresh, it shouldn't be able to fall on its own. But this kind of evidence cannot tell that there were actually people on the trees. It could be wild animals."

"... that's true," Watson admits, "but there's one thing I haven't told you yet. Recently, in London, I can sense that someone is watching you or me. So maybe that person follows us here."

A person's face was clearly visible in Holmes' mind.

But he chose not to say anything...

........................................................................

"Yesterday, I sent someone to inform Lord Walther. He said he would invite all of you to meet at his manor today at nine o'clock. So, as the time approaches, I'll take you all myself." Principal Langdon Knox tells the schedule for today.

The next morning at 7:30, Holmes and the others came to have breakfast in the school dining room. At first, the voices of children from ages 5-6 to the early 10s were loud, but four strangers walked in with the principal. The noise of the conversation had reduced to a whisper and a stranger's suspicious eyes.

"Good morning. Did you sleep well last night?" Vice Principal Phillip Gardner just walked in. Say hello with a friendly smile.

"Good, thank you very much," Gregson replied politely.

The story that last night, Watson heard a strange sound. Then left the school into the fairy forest. Holmes decides not to tell Lestrade or Gregson because it will only make them doubt Watson.

After breakfast, there is still time to spare. So, the principal and the vice-principal took the four of them for a walk around the school while telling them the story.

"This is an all-boys boarding school. There are currently 157 students from Year 1 to Year 9. The initiative to establish the school was Lord Walther's grandfather. But the school was officially opened in the period of the Lord's father," explains Phillip Gardner. "The purpose of the school is to develop youth. All people can have knowledge. That's an excellent idea, isn't it? Do you guys know, this school offers scholarships for poor families. Often, we adopt orphans who are smart and want to learn for free. Ah…but there is a condition that they have to pay back to the school after they graduate."

Phillip Gardner then pointed out rooms in the school, such as dormitories, classrooms, or library, which did not seem helpful in their investigation.

"Could you tell me about the Fairy Forest?" Lestrade was the first to ask the question. The Vice Principal smiled dryly at the sudden question.

"The reason why Epping Forest is called the Fairy Forest because deep in the forest is the place where fairies live," Principal Knox answered. A tall, skinny figure stop by the window in the corridor. Looking out into the dark green forest,

"Let me explain that not all of the forest are fairy realms. If you walk in for a while, you will find a small stream about waist height. The forest on the other side of the stream is the fairy realms."

Holmes and Watson remembered the stream they walked to last night. And Watson himself had already crossed the stream to the other side of the forest.

"Fairy realms?" Lestrade repeated, "You didn't mean that there really were fairies inside that forest."
