Inspector Tobias Gregson from Scotland Yard reviews plans for the final with his subordinates. The eyes behind the square-framed glasses were determined as cold as ice wrapped in fire. Fierce wants to capture the villain perfectly under prudence. The upcoming operation today was very important to him.

Thudding! Thudding!

When he heard the hoof of horses and the sound of the wheels of a carriage, Gregson knew that those who had been waiting had arrived. He reassured his subordinates again and walked over to the carriage that had just parked. The doors opened. The first thing he saw was pair of green eyes stare blankly at him. Gregson knew that this always-flat-faced, silver-haired man was Sherlock Holmes' partner. But this is the first case that they really worked together.

"Gregson is everything fine," Holmes greeted with a smile from inside the carriage.

"Hello, Mr. Holmes, Ms. Watson," Gregson greeted in response. Even though the look in his eyes concealed a slight resentment, he nods his head to both of them politely. He wasn't very close to them. But he accepted the plan that Holmes had proposed.

"Everything went according to plan. My subordinates are stationed at the spot where the criminal is expected to escape."

Sherlock Holmes nods his head. At one second, Gregson sensed that Holmes's mood was different than usual. But think again, maybe because doing important work, there will be some feeling of tension, it's not strange. So he didn't ask.

"Then Watson and I are going in." Holmes gave a relaxed smile. But his voice was serious. "You have to wait for the child to leave the house first. Never forget."

Gregson was silent. before deciding to speak,

"I don't understand..."

Sherlock Holmes raises an eyebrow. He turned his gaze back to meet the other person. Gregson then continued.

"Why wait? According to your proposed plan, everything is very concise and cautious. You predict a route in case the villain escapes. Even in the case of assistants that might invade, except at this point, you insist on waiting until the villain's son leaves the house. That gives the villain time to unpredictable things, like destroying evidence of trading last night. If so... your plans will be messed up. Most importantly, there will be only you and Mr. Watson…."

"Watson and I are enough," said Holmes, interjecting the inspector. "Do as I say, Gregson," Holmes repeated, and the door closed in front of him.

The carriage moved past an incomprehensible Gregson. John H. Watson turned his gaze to the side of his partner's face, who seemed unable to feel his eye. Watson knows what Gregson doesn't know. But he chose not to say anything until the carriage stopped again in front of the manor 'Baron Irwin' today's target.

Both Holmes and Watson have been to the house twice before. This time too. The butler opened the door and led them to wait in the living room, asks them to wait a moment; the Master of the manor, Baron Irwin, is coming.

"Arthur?" Holmes asked in a chatty tone with the mind already knowing the answer.

"Young Master is about to leave to study at the association. Mr. Holmes, would you like to talk to the young master?" asked the butler in a humble tone. Because he knew that Sherlock Holmes was close to young master Arthur.

"No, just asking. If Arthur is going to study, it better not be late, you don't have to call him."

The butler bowed to him and left the room. Several minutes of silence passed. The living room door opened again. But the one who came in was not the one Sherlock Holmes had been waiting for.

"Hello, Mr. Holmes." A boy aged 7 to 8, cheeks flushed, joyfully greetings

"Arthur?" For a moment, Holmes' eyes changed slightly. But then immediately switched to a cheerful smile. "I thought you were going to study at the association."

"Yes, but I want to talk to Mr. Holmes first. May I?" The boy asked with an expectant look. That made Holmes can't bring himself to refuse and drove Arthur away.

"Of course."

"Mr. Holmes, butler told me that you are a very good detective. If there is trouble or how difficult problem, if ask your help, you will be able to solve all problem, right?"

"What's your worry?" asked Holmes. He thought he knew the answer.

"My father," said Arthur, with a serious and worried look on his face. "Looks like he had some trouble that can't tell a kid like me. But I know that some bad people are going to hurt father. Please, Mr. Holmes. Please help my father."

Sherlock Holmes stared at the child's troubled face. Before answering in a low voice,

"Arthur... I'm a detective. My duty is to reveal the truth. and bring those who have done wrong to Scotland Yard according to the law."

"It's about catching bad people, right. If Mr. Holmes caught that bad guy, my father must back to cheerful again." Arthur step to took Sherlock Holmes's hand tightly as if entrusting his hopes. "Thank you very much, Mr. Holmes. I will never forget your gratitude this time."

"Ah, I have to go now. Please excuse me. Thank you again," Arthur said with a wide smile. Then ran away.

Sherlock Holmes followed to send the boy into the carriage with a smile. Wait until the carriage turns out of the house, suddenly his expression changed like a flip coin. Moments later, Gregson and Scotland Yard's carriage turned into the manor as planned.

"Watson, let's go inside," said Holmes in a serious tone, lowered the brim of the hat to cover the eyes but even so Watson was well aware of the weight of his partner's heart.

They returned to the living room again with Scotland Yard. The master of the manor they had been waiting for had already sat and waited.

"Hello, today is such an honor to come and visit me," Baron Irwin discreetly greeted the guests. However, his eyes flashed with sadness as if preparing for the events that were about to happen in the next few seconds.

"Baron Irwin, I arrest you for illegal diamond trafficking." Sherlock Holmes replied with a different expression and eyes than when he laughed at Arthur.

"Sigh, I already knew today would come. But thank you for wait until Arthur leaves the manor." Baron Irwin says, raised his hand and allowed Scotland Yard to capture. "That boy loved and cherished me too much."

The Baron said sadly. Sherlock Holmes looked at ้รห face overlapping the plead face Arthur used to look at him. The black eyes of the young man's fierce anger merged with a sharp pain in his chest.

"Baron Irwin, you are a smart, capable man," said Holmes in a low voice. "But instead, you choose to use your abilities in the wrong way. Innocent people died because of your illegal diamond business. But the one who hurts the most is the one closest to you."

Irwin looked at Holmes' black eyes, who had said the last sentence to him and then lowered his gaze irresistibly.

"Before I knew… everything was… too late." Baron Irwin said sadly. He walked out of the living room to the front of the house, where the carriage was already waiting for him. But an unexpected event happened. Suddenly Arthur returned home again.

"What are you guys doing? Let go of my father!!!"

Arthur jumps out of the carriage to run towards his father but was held back by the butler.

"Arthur!" Father's eyes widened in shock, same as those around him.

"Let go of me. Why, why did you take my father?" cried the boy and turned to see a man in a hat standing among Scotland Yard,

"Mr. Holmes, save my father, please help him..."

"Young master, that man is not going to help master," said the butler in a trembling voice. "He was the one who caught the master."

"What…"
