《Watson&Holmes》Case2 Two diamonds - ch25

Sherlock Holmes's hypothesis was the Boss, and Wainwright Armstrong was the same person.

Holmes thought as he strides quickly passed the stone path. Open every room's door he sees to find evidence to prove his hypothesis. The last place Wainwright disappeared was abandoned buildings on the North Swandam Alley. A witness was saying he saw him kidnapped someone away. And Behrouz Zakaria was kidnapped in the same place at the same time.

If the Boss is the leader of the Armstrong family, he must have a black diamond armlet. That would be the reason Irene Adler was beside the Boss. And perhaps Irene was the cause of the many mysterious blood and corpses here.

But if Wainwright and the Boss are the same person, what was the purpose of Griswald Armstrong hiring him to look for?

Creak...

Holmes opened the door to a room on the second floor. It was someone's bedroom. There was a half-depleted bottle of wine on a small table. It is most likely the room of the Boss or the top rank in the group. Holmes decided to explore the wardrobe. Inside there was a navy suit with two white men's shirts. Holmes took out the shirt, rolled the right sleeve, examined the upper arm. Both of them had the same creases and the thread edge frayed as though it had undergone friction with sharp solids all the time.

THUD!!!

Suddenly, there was a loud noise that the entire building shook. Holmes staggered a little, but he managed to stay stable. He left the shirt and look at the situation outside the room. A partner's face is the first thing that comes to his mind.

"Watson ..."

Tad Tad Tad Tad Tad Tad

Suddenly, he heard many people's footsteps.

Who?

Sherlock Holmes thinks

Will it be the group who kills all the subordinates here. Or is it ... those people?

"Find ... him"

Loud shouting down the hallway, Sherlock Holmes decided to close the door as quietly as possible and hide in the closet. Without forgetting to pick up the two shirts that he took out as well. Because closing the door and hiding in the closet, he couldn't hear anything. Sherlock Holmes slowed his breath. He waited calmly as a plan formed in his head.

Bang!!!

Heard the sound of slamming on the door. Holmes remembered that before entered to the bedroom he was in, there was another room. No matter who the person outside was, that person was about to enter this room.

Bang!!!

The bedroom door opened.

"This is the leader's room. Search all!"

Holmes held his breath. The sound of footsteps was coming towards the wardrobe. If it is combined with the person who ordered it, it means two men are coming. This is a pivotal moment. The young man took a deep breath to calm himself. Repeat the plan again. His left hand held the shirt firmly, the blink of an eye as the door opened.

Slammed!!!

Sherlock Holmes rushes out. Open closet doors from inside to knocked a person outside until he falls over. Holmes flicked the white shirt over the face of the collapsed man to obscure his vision. A black eye swept across the room, quickly looking for what was needed. It took at least 15 seconds for the first man to stand up again. What fell from the right hand of the man who fell backward was a gun. Holmes took the gun and pulled the trigger towards the second man.

Bang!

"Ugh ..."

From the sound of the cry, the bullet hit the target. Holmes retook the trigger and fired at the first man's leg. He threw himself forward, kicked the second man's gun all the way to the end of the room. He points a gun at the two attackers, who were injured and with a surrendered expression.

Holmes calm the sound of his heart that pounding fiercely. The plan to make the invading wounded succeed as expected.

"You guys ..."

Holmes looked at the two guys who were in pain. If he is not mistaken

"Is someone from the ..."

Tuff!

Something slammed into the right shoulder, stopping the thought in his head.

"Arr ... Ugh ..."

The pain surged until he accidentally let go of the gun. When Holmes turned around, he saw a dart on his right shoulder. A golden-haired man held three darts in his hand at the exit, along with two underlings blocking the door.

"Leader has ordered not to be seriously hurt you," said the golden-haired man. At the same time, the first dart was thrown at Holmes.

Pew...

Sherlock Holmes managed to dodge the darts.

Tuff!

But the second dart hit in his left thigh. At the same time, two underlings came in and locked both of Holmes' arms. The man who threw the darts stepped forward in front of Holmes. When using the dart's tip to brush Holmes’s lashes, he revealed a cruel smile that Holmes instinctively escaped the sharp tip.

"Leader has prepared your punishment ... Sherlock Holmes."

………………………………………………………

After splitting with Holmes, Watson went down to the basement. Before reaching the room where he had been imprisoned was a spiral staircase made of stone. Watson didn't want to waste time going down the stairs step by step. So, he dropped through the gap of the spiral staircase.

THUD!

He reached the bottom with a single step. Watson opened the cell door. The condition of the room remains the same as before. There is a space for torturing prisoners. Next to it were five cells, and in one cell, there were still the chains that Watson had torn apart when escaping the last time.

No one is here...

After completing the survey, Watson turned around.

Suddenly!

Clank... Clank... Clank Clank... Clank...

The sound of falling metal drew the attention of the young man. Watson walked into a cell, bent down to collect two silver coins. The metallic sound was heard from the sound of a coin. He looked up to examine the ceiling where the coin had fallen from. In one corner adjacent to the wall, there was a vent-like hole about a span in diameter. When he was imprisoned last time, he had never noticed a vent like this. But more importantly, why did the coin suddenly fall?

Someone... dropped a coin.

Thud!

Suddenly, a sudden change occurred that the entire building shook. A thick steel plate slid down and enclosed the cell on all four sides. Watson was trapped in the dark. Including at the exit door, there is also a sliding sheet of metal shut down as well.

"John H. Watson, do you like drastic measures in handling prisoners?"
