When opened eyes with a light feeling that almost forgot how tortured before lose conscious. The first image he saw was green. Not the green of the leaves or the broad grass. But a dull green, emotionless, without a glow. His lips turn to smile.
"Found you, Watson. I'm thinking about going to find you."
"You..."
Watson said and hold. The scene where everyone is lying on the ground flashback. Watson silent, realizing that humans are very fragile creatures. He is continuing in a calm voice as usual.
"I was the one who was looking for you. You fainted for thirty-five minutes. "
"This is ..." Sherlock Holmes overlooking the stained glass and paintings depicting God. "... You brought me to church? What about James ... and everyone else? "
Holmes sat up. At the long bench, Osborne held a white cloth on his cheek. Scarlet caresses Seamus's head. Travis reached out to get a glass of water from the priest. And when he turned to look at the back seat, he met James Moriarty with his arms crossed. Then an old priest walked to Holmes generously gave him a glass of water.
"Oh, you awake. How do you feel?"
"I'm fine. Thank you for letting us rest, Father," replied Sherlock Holmes politely. He took a glass of water to drink. The hydration of the water running through his throat made him feel really good.
The old priest nodded. Before making a comfortable expression, hesitated a little, then spoke to everyone.
"Son ... what did you do under the tree?"
"Are you a satanic cult?" Asked another priest who sent water to Travis in a suspicious tone.
"No, we apologize for causing trouble. It was ten years ago, the three of their fathers buried a chest. So we came back to dig." Sherlock Holmes explained with a serious expression. Telling the truth is the best way, just not the whole truth.

"Buried a chest ...?" The old priest repeated the word, decided not to ask what was in the chest. "And why are you asleep?"
"Someone has stolen it !!!" Osborne roared in vengeance. "It must be the guy who killed Redmond!"
The brother's name made Scarlet's face stiff for a moment. She spoke in an emotional voice.
"And now ... what should we do next?"
Holmes listened to the lady's sorrow and saw the priest's stunned face, thinking they should not be disturbed at the church any longer. He suggested everyone go back to stay at home for now.
"Such a thing happened like this? Do you think I can sleep comfortably!?!"
Osborne shouted, got up, and stepped out of the church in a frenzy. Scarlet stood up, staring low as she walked past Holmes and Watson.
"I ... excuse me."
"Have a safe trip."
Sherlock Holmes spoke to the woman and turned his gaze on Travis and Seamus. It seems the boy still does not want to return.
"Sherlock ..." called Moriarty. When best friends turn, he grinned at the corner of his mouth and walked out with the last word. "... I'm waiting."
Sherlock Holmes sighed. Turned to thank the two priests then left the church with Watson. Make now; besides the priest, there are only Seamus and Travis.
"Feel free to rest as you wish, but if he not very well, there's a doctor in the village." The old priest, who concluded that Seamus was not well, smiled gently. "I'll leave you two alone. If you want something to help, you can always call. "
"Thank you very much, Father."
Travis rose and bowed his head to the two priests. At that moment, a voice called his name.
"Travis ..."

On the other hand, even though he was the one who offered everyone to go back to rest but Holmes and Watson remained in the village of Tortworth. The black-haired man followed his partner, walk around the village along the forest. While talking little,

"James got conscious first. But I the slowest woke up ... Hmmm." Sherlock frowned, making a difficult face. "In principle, James and I were least to get poisoned."
The detective assumed that they got soporific type poisoned. The masked man in the black cloak probably released the poison powder when he slapped Osborne's face. So he fainted first, followed by Scarlet, who approached, so Holmes and Moriarty were the least affected. Moriarty got conscious first, but he woke the last person.
"The affected by the non-lethal venom, which varies according to person. I think because now your body is weak and lacks sleep," Watson said, looking at a human who has rarely slept since the case. "Humans must get at least eight hours of sleep a day."
"Hmm, but I'm not feeling drowsy or exhausted," says Sherlock Holmes. Often when he's in a case, he won't sleep for several nights. But he didn't feel bad; rather, he felt a waste of time to sleep.
"Here."
Watson's words made detective Holmes serious. They walked through the rear of the village and saw an open field next to the forest. Watson's gaze focused on something hidden in the shadow of the trees. A second later, he pulled Sherlock Holmes to hide behind a big tree.
"Someone walked from the village," whispered Watson.
"Will this be the person we are waiting for?"
Several seconds of silence of waiting.
The person who appeared is ... the person who was still angry at the stolen treasure. But at this moment, it appeared with a clam expression that seemed to be cautious. The person glanced left and right as he approached the edge of the forest, waited to make sure that no one but himself was there, then whistled. It was then that two small figures jumped from the tree. A short-haired little man and a long-haired little man wearing an old cloak walked over and stood beside the summoner with the three treasures.
That person reached out to receive a crown from a small, short-haired man. That was the same second that Sherlock Holmes and Watson stepped out.
"The villain is you ... "

Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
